  1. As predicted it was a cold weekend but i knew it was going to be so i put up with it. I went to see various Trek people and went for the Sat and Sun and i'm glad i did. When i got there i had a general look round to get the layout of the place and to see how busy the guests were. I was really disappointed to see that Tim Russ on Saturday had no photos/no posed photos etc just because he was sat next to Patrick Stewart so i wandered round to find Michelle Forbes who, as i already suspected would have no posed photos, but she had no photos at all. Serious disappointment but i decided to wait til Sunday to see if anything changed. I did think at the time that maybe she and Patrick should have been sat next to each other as they weren't allowing any photos. Went on to talk to JG who was wandering around with a ticket for a photoshoot with Linda Hamilton - i lol'd! He told me about the Klingon make up and that they would be signing in it all day and then went on to talk to some people about the football that was being played on the pitch! Lovely guy. I decided to meet Robert O'Reilly and JG not in make up then when JG wandered back to his table and got a joint signed picture and a double table photo which was so nice of them and at which point JG was singing'Tell Laura i love her'! The Klingon pair were real good sports and some guy in front of me asked Robert if he would do 'the Gowron eyes' in his photo and he did! They were amazing, chatty, nice and good fun and i think a real guest asset to the event. Sunday morning i went back and was overjoyed when Tim Russ had been moved so he could do photos at the table! Did someone say something to SM? (I'm currently broke and couldn't afford both an auto and a shoot) He was chatty and talked to me and my boyfriend about the Klingon make up he had to wear in DS9 and how its now being changed to be more life like. Kate Mulgrew was allowing photos in the queue which made a nice change to the last time and she let me take a nice candid shot of her and she seemed quite chatty to Robbie McNeill who was next to her, who said i should change my name to 'Rob', lol. He said it was his new thing to try and get people to change their names to Rob! Jeffrey Combs was nice as well but i couldn't help feeling he would have been great doing a stage talk as he had done so much. Was slightly disappointed he was doing no posed but i had a chat with him and got a candid shot which made up for it. Someone said about Lance being really nice. While i was waiting for Michelle Forbes photo shoot he came out and asked us who we were all waiting for, then asked if she was attractive and said we should ask her to work with him, lol! It's been a long time since i went to an event for more than 2 guests and this was amazing. Yes it was not in the best place but it will be in October so all of you that didn't like it for only this reason - (in a non-offensive way) get over it, it wasn't planned that way as SM know it wasn't the ideal location after last year. So glad i went Sunday as it was really quiet and even Linda and Patrick went open Q by 1pm and was no longer disappointed by a lack of a Tim Russ photo! Great guests and a fun time was had and i shall be looking forward to LFCC! Thanks SM for another great event.
  2. This year I didn't think there were nearly as many dealer stalls as last year and pretty much no weapon stores including the actual prop store. It's lucky I had no money to spend or I may have been disappointed as I had my eye on something that is usually there fake weapon wise.
  3. Just from the adverts, with John Hannah as a Scottish Roman and a selection of Kiwi Romans in support, the performances look a mess. Right well by now you an probably tell i quite like this show so as for the different nationalities of actors: who cares? If you all wanted it to be authentic you wouldn't understand it cos it would all be in Latin or some other ancient language! As long as they are good actors which i think John Hannah and Lucy Lawless are it shouldn't matter, it's the story that's supposed to draw you in! It's just a cross between Rome and 300 or as i like to say a more epic version of Rome about one mans life. I get it may be a bit graphic for some but i like it and it seems a fair representation of the time period. The series started on Bravo yesterday 25th May at 10pm.
  4. I've met: Alyson Hannigan Nic Brendon Emma Caulfield Danny Strong Tom Lenk Adam Bush Tony Head Julie Benz Mark Metcalf Juliet Landau James Marsters Brian Thompson Eliza Dushku DB Woodside Amber Benson Kali Rocha Stacey Scowley Kelly Donovan George Hertzberg Lyari Limon Nathan Fillion Camden Toy Alexis Denisof Andy Hallet Charisma Carpenter Armin Shimmerman Mercedes McNab Robia LaMorte Elisabeth Rohm Mark Lutz Alan Tudyk Morena Baccarin Jewel Staite Kinda hard to say who was my favourite, i think it will have to be between 3 people: Eliza - I met her on my birthday and she asked me how my day was going and wished me a happy birthday. Then she turned my necklace clasp round and said "make a wish!" She was lovely. Amber Benson - met her 5 times now and everytime she seems lovely and chatty and genuinely interested and grateful that you care about her work Camden Toy - he was really quiet and had a nice chat about how the mechanics of the gentlemen worked and about all the make up he had to endure. Wish i could meet him again.
  5. not quite perfect lives but lives together. Jin and Sun were finally running away together and Libby and Hugo were together. It was well connected and they were supposed to find each other - look at Locke and Jack i maintain that Jack was always supposed to help fix Locke and Sun being shot lead to Sawyer and Juliet...
  6. I really enjoyed the finale even though a couple of the flashbacks made me cry - Claire and Charlie and Juliet and Sawyer (I always loved them together)! I actually love Rose and Bernard and think they are the only islanders to have lived a fully and happy life before dying on the island some point after everyone else. I loved how Ben was finally recognised as one of the group but he still felt he didn't deserve to be there. The Walt issue was always going to come up and i have a theory (need to watch it all again to see though) as to why he wasn't there. We already know that the people and the island events were real as Christian told Jack so. Therefore it would be safe to assume when Michael and Walt left the island that really happened. I believe that Walt is still alive somewhere in the 'real' world and we have already seen that Michaels spirit is trapped on the island so these would be ok reasons as to why they were not part of the main group ready to move on like everyone else. And at last all the flashes made sense backs - what life they had forwards - what happened when they actually left the island sideways - their dream of what life would have been for them had the plane not crashed leading to the death realisation.
  7. I was so annoyed that Jack is the new Jacob, Hurley would have made a better one! The most perfect people to take on the role of protector out of all the cast would have been Rose and Bernard in my opinion. They wanted to stay there and were always happy to just exist especially after Rose's cancer went away. Looks like its all down to Desmond now then!
  8. Fit, i'll be getting up at 5am to watch it on HD! Yay, figure get up at 5 then start watching about 20mins in to skip some adverts. Bet it's going to be sad but all my fave characters apart from Desmond are dead now.
  9. I heard that David doesn't believe in conventions and charging fans money etc so won't do them unfortunately and Gillian won't sign anything with a X-Files stamp on. She did theatre not long ago and i heard for various people that she was signing anything from programmes to pictures as long as they didn't have anything to do with X-Files on. It's a shame because i know they have so many fans out there but in Gillian's case i get the feeling that she just wants to move on and do other things now.
  10. Oh no! I wish i had the funds to meet her. Hopefully she'll do another event soon - i need my captain scarlet box set signed!
  11. I hope there are talks - just imagine a Klingon one! Also it would be nice to have an epic Voyager one although last time i saw them Kate and Garrett did a separate talk for no apparent reason.
  12. Hey guys don't know if this has been mentioned yet but for anyone staying north of the venue the victoria line (tube) will be closed all weekend. Just mentioning it just in case it affects anyone as i saw it the other day when i was up there.
  13. Being an X-Files fan but with little money and so many Trek people, this is a massive relief to me as i won't miss him just reschedule meeting him. LFCC is looking much better for me now. Sorry to all the people that can't get to London and were looking forward to meeting him at C:16.
  14. Ha! agreed! I've heard he's well known for cancelling too, he cancelled the last time I was due to meet him at Collectormania G-MEX. I'm not fussed anymore, whatever - more importantly Ms Mulgrew and Mr Stewart are still there and I'm really looking forward to meeting them! :) Not to say i told you but...maybe he didn't want to be somewhere with people he didn't get on with? (only an opinion) I also did suggest this may happen. Lucky i've already met him twice.
  15. How pedantic are you?! Be grateful! I'm not being pedantic or ungrateful i just wish my wallet could accommodate him! Could there be a thing as too many Trek guests?
  16. Hang on - sorry if this has been said but i thought Robert Beltran was the last Trek guest to be announced? Why announce Patrick after the last trek guest announcement?
  17. Great, it's nice to know that he enjoyed the other events and decided to come back! Shame i can't afford him this time though, i need to DS9 it up. Maybe i can do a photoshoot...*runs to check bank...*
  18. Yeah, i know but i'm assuming the guests i want to see won't be in the films Maybe, i just don't think we've had many 24 guests over here!
  19. As this is the last season of 24 it would be great to get some 24 guests in, namely Reiko Aylesworth, Carlos Bernard and Sarah Clarke, as, correct me if i'm wrong, i don't think i have met them at a SM signing before. I would mention Kiefer Sutherland, but maybe that's pushing it!
  20. Oh no! Such a great guest but i can't make the Monday. Wish i could though.
  21. One of the times i met Robert i joked to him that he and Kate should get together to do a play as they had both been in theatre in those times, his "maybe" and the sudden lack of enthusiasm said it all really.
  22. She's announced for the biggest Trek con of the year in the US, so pretty sure she doesn't mind them... She won't go to CM MK anyway as she and Kate really don't get on. Ahh, so there is hope at some point then! I thought it was just Kate and Robert that didn't get on.
  23. Yeah, i always hope, but she reminds me of Agnetta from Abba - being the elusive one.
