  1. I love what you wrote there...I just feel exactly the same. Actually I've come to the conclusion that with every tattoo you have made, it doesn't matter so much what it looks like. What really matters is what the tattoo means to you. As fans of course we are very much in love with our fandoms and just adore every tiny little thing about it. Which is why it is obvious that we'd like to show our adoration and therefore will get a tattoo. In the end it isn't very much about Twilight or any other fandom, though. It's about the way these things make you feel. As you wrote, Twilight also helped me through a rough time, so my tattoo doesn't only represent Twilight, it also represents my new found happiness and the believe that I am capable of coping with bad times. I know this might sound ridiculous, but just looking at my tattoo makes me happy, which is really what it should be all about. I think a tattoo represents a very special moment or thought in your life and since you would like to hold that moment or thought forever, it just makes sense to have it tattooed. And that way you will NEVER regret having the tattoo made. As long as the meaning goes deeper than just the obvious fan adoration, you will always love and treasure the tattoo, even if at some point, Twilight doesn't play as an important part in your life anymore, as it used to. I had the exact experience with my first tattoo...I've been and still am a huge fan of Johnny Depp and back in the Pirates of the Caribbean days (although I never liked those movies too much...I just loved Johnny's performance) I decided to have the sparrow, Jack has on his forearm, inked on my back. Many people also went up to me and asked me whether I was really sure about this. And I always told them, that the tattoo wasn't so much about PotC or Johnny...the tattoo was mainly about the situation I found myself in. Back then I finished university and in a way for the first time had really finished something in life. I could go now and look for a job....and looking for that wasn't always easy. And I ended up having a lot of people around me, telling me what to do, but I just - instead stuck to my own believes and my own way - and am very happy where I am now. And that's basically what the sparrow respresents to me. That it's good to stick to my own way and also expresses the happiness that I felt once I'd finished university. PotC just happened at the same time, so I kinda took it as a model for my tattoo idea. But the true meaning of the tattoo is just something completely different, 'cause it will always remind me of that special moment in my life. So I've had that tattoo for a couple of years now, but still love it as much as I did on the first day, if not more...so well, I don't know whether all of this made a lot of sense, but I'd just like to tell people who are saying that they are worried that they might regret getting the tattoo later: Don't be worried. As long as your tattoo means more to you then just the obvious fandom adoration, you will always treasure it. But if you just want one made, because you think it's cool or because you'd want it to show your adoration for Twilight, I think you shouldn't do it. But since to each and everyone of us Twilight means much more than just the obvious, I think everyone should be fine. Anyway, sorry for that long text. But I just had to write all this down. :) Hope you guys don't mind.
  2. Oh nice! :) Mhh I'll try to think of something Jacob related...but I think it shouldn't be that hard to find something great...I'd definitely put a wolf there and you could for example have your favorite quote of jacob written as well. :) I've got two tattoos myself, one on my back and one on my right ankle. The second one is also Twilight related. I kinda had different pieces of all four books put together...e.g. the crystal heart Edward gave Bella. I just kinda went to the Tattoo parlor and told my tattoo artist what I wanted and what I had in my head and she put it all together. I'm really happy with the outcome actually. :) No-one would see right away, that it stands for Twilight (not like the Cullen Crest for example) but I know, which really is what matters. :) Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome of your next tattoo!! :)
  3. OMG! *haha* This is great...the room looks fantastic. Too bad I totally missed out on it...But I'll definitely be looking for the next themed room at ET2. :) I also think a la Push themed room would be great...something beach related would definitely be cozy. :)
  4. Awww, you guys rock! Thank YOU!!! I can't wait for ET2!
  5. Oh yay, thanks for opening that thread! That really just made me happy, 'cause I've just had to endure a lot of Kristen bashing in the past couple of minutes that I almost started to believe that I'm the only one who really likes her. I think she's a great actress and a great human being as well. She's not one of these shallow actresses who are way too stuck up. Kristen - as it seems - is very much down to earth and works really hard for all the projects she's involved with. However unfortunately a lot of Twilight fans don't seem to see that...sometimes I wonder whether they're just jealous of her, because she's able to work with Rob. I really don't know. Either way I adore Kristen and it would make me immensely happy if she attended the con! :)
  6. My dream guestlist would be: 1. Rob 2. Kristen 3. Jackson 4. Nikki 5. Taylor I know what everyone's saying about Rob though...considering how the guest have been followed around by some people at the first con, I think it would be even worse if Rob actually attended the con. And besides I wouldn't be able to cope with the screaming and I'd feel just enormously sorry for Rob....I'm sure there would be lots of people that simply don't know how to behave. On the other hand I think Rob is used to the whole hype by now and besides Showmasters might come up with a great solutions concerning the people that are behaving out of line...(and this doesn't actually only concern Rob, but also the other guests...no guest should be mobbed, so there needs to be some kind of solution concerning all these people that tend to follow the guests around wherever they go, anyway). Well, in the end it's not really for us to decide who'll attend the con...and I'm rather confident that Showmasters will do everything to make ET2 as great as ET1, so I'm sure we'll get some great guests in the end.
  7. I would love to meet Rob and Kris, because I think they're both very talented actors and it would just be great to get to meet up with them at the con. That would definitely make me enormously happy! However, unfortunately, I think it's rather unlikely that they'll attend the Con, so I'd also be happy if Nikki and Jackson attended ET2.
  8. I'm really glad I got my Gold Ticket at the con already. G-030 YAY! Are we gonna get a confirmation on this, btw? I just have the receipt of the credit card transaction.
  9. First of all, thanks for a fantastic con! I really really enjoyed myself and I consider this as one of them most awesome weekends in my life. So thank you very much to ME and all the guests for making this an event to remember. What worked well? I thought the whole organisation of the event was very well done. There were lots of people, but queues were still managed rather well. What I enjoyed about the event the most was the gold reception at the beginning (because it allowed us to talk to the guests in at least a bit a smaller group) and the group photoshoot. I totally adored that one. Also the photoshoots in general were managed very well and I really enjoyed the outcome. :) What could have been improved? Handling of some of the fans. I nearly died when they started screaming at the beginning of the con (first guest encounter). I just don't get why people have to scream in the first place. The guests are only human too and if you treat them with respect and talk to them normally you'll get much more out of the encounter. So what the hell is it with all the screaming?? Seriously, this annoys the hell out of me. The same holds true for the guest encounters at the parties. I thought it was so lovely of the guests to turn up at the casino party and I know for a fact that Kellan and Christian would have loved to stick around a bit longer. But then there were all these fans that simply didn't know how to behave. Why on earth is it sooooo hard to leave the guests alone for a bit? I mean it's okay to talk to them if you're like standing right next to them by chance (everything else would be rude anyway), but following them around and screaming wherever they go and asking for pictures is just WRONG! They are there to have fun too. And they are only human too. So stop treating them like they were some kind of wild animal in a cage. I just felt very very sorry for the guests and it gutted me how they had to pose for one picture after the other, just because they wanted to be nice and make everyone happy. But picture-taking with the guests should be limited to the photoshoot and everyone that starts screaming or starts following the guests around at parties should just be banned. Sorry, that's just my opinion, but I thought it was so unfair how the guests were treated at the prom/casino party by some of the attendees. To improve this a bit, I suggest that you're not allowed to bring your camera to the parties if there are guests in attendance. I know that people like to take party pictures and that is okay, but taking pictures at the parties should be stricly limited to personal pictures and pictures involving the guests should simply not be allowed. We have the photoshoots for those. Other than that I don't really have anything to complain about, expect for the room temperature. Most of the time people were freezing due to the air conditioner. And at least two of our guests were sick by the end of the weekend. I know that this is not something that really concerns ME and also some people just like it cold while others like it warmer, but I still wanted to mention this. What you would like to see added to the next con? Basically if the con is just half as good as this one it's gonna be great again. I really hope there can be something done concerning the parties though, as far as the stalking of the guests is concerned. And also about the screaming. Other than that it would be nice if the Dealer's Room had a bit more Twilight related merchandise, other than just the photos and pictures that could have been bought. Also I think it would be nice if some of the money that was earned through auctions (especially for the guest encounters) could be given to charity. I think this would give it much more value in a way. :) Yeah and as far as guests are concerned I just would love for Kris and Rob (or at least one of them) to be there. Anyway, I can't wait for October and thanks again everyone for making Eternal Twilight in an overall perspective a fantastic event.
  10. Thanks a lot guys!!! This was one of the most awesome weekends EVER!! Everyone did a great job at all the organising and it worked out simply fantastic. And the guests were just amazing. I'm so happy that they were there and made this a fantastic time for all of us. However I gotta agree with what had been said before, some people unfortunately just didn't seem to know when to back off. No matter whether you're a newbie or not, and no matter whether you're still in your teens or already older, I think people need to consider that the guests are only human too. Especially at the prom/casino party I felt that things were getting out of control a bit. I really hope that this will be different in October. Either way thank you very very much again for a fantastic weekend. I can't wait for October to come!!
  11. Oh yay!!! These are good news! I'm really looking forward to meeting with all our guests...and I love the fact that you could get Christian. She seems like such a nice girl! :)
  12. Got mine today too. :) that was real quick! :) G18!
  13. Mhh I even considered getting one for a sec, but since I've got gold pass I'll already be getting a shirt...besides these are not fitted and in that case I wouldn't really be wearing that shirt anyway. But hey I keep my fingers crossed for everyone who'd like to get a shirt to get one. :)
  14. Oh yes of course...you all can come and join our group....I don't know how to manage the Facebook group though..I just suck at Facebook...it's way too confusing for me! *haha*
  15. Mhh it's sooo hard to decide...I'd love to meet Nikki and Jackson though...and Rachelle...she seems like such a cool person to hang out with! :)
  16. Oh nothing to thank for. I'm glad I could help. However I don't know about the payment...the thing is I paid by credit card and I think you actually need a credit card to order the stuff online. You can order via PayPal though. Don't know whether that helps...
  17. I ordered a bunch of things a couple of weeks ago and received my order about a week later...and I just placed a new order on Friday and I received a mail yesterday that they'd already shipped it. So Hot Topic is really reliable, no worries about that. However you might will have to confirm your order via telephone...I had to call them for the first order I placed, anyway. :)
  18. Thanks a lot for the fliers guys! I handed some out at one of the local bookstores and gave a couple to my friend who'll hand the fliers out in his part of the country. I'll also put some up at my university next week. :)
  19. Of course you can! Basically everyone's welcome that isn't in a group already and would love to be in one. :) We're a friendly bunch of people so feel free to join us if you like! :)
  20. Just sent you guys an E-Mail...wanted to do it earlier, but I kept forgetting about it!! So sorry! But better late than never, right?!
  21. When the con was first announced and the first tickets were being sold, SM told us, that there would be fan-group related things to do at the con. And then a couple of us on these boards stated that we weren't in a fan-group. So we decided to create a new group...in a way for all those people who'd love to belong to a group but aren't in one already....that's why our group is called the Dazzling Misfits...we don't really fit anywhere, but we're still dazzling! *haha*
  22. I'm glad so many are happy! I would have hoped for someone else actually, but there's still hope left, right?! Besides I think it's great that Showmasters were actually able to get a guest that plays such an important role in the movie as Taylor. So very well done Showmasters and thanks a lot for the effort you put into making this event unforgetable for all of us. I keep on hoping for Rob and/or Kris!
  23. *haha* me too! And I tried to get on the board the whole morning, but it always said there was en error...I hope that's not gonna happen tonight, when the guest will actually be announced! *g* Gosh I can't wait...this is so exciting!
  24. Thanks so much for all your warm welcomes guys! You're the best!! I can't wait to chat with all of you!! I think I still need a couple more days to go through all that is going on online at the moment...which includes this forum of course. It looks like lately there are sooo many twilight news, that I can't really keep track of everything! *lol* Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next guest announcement and I guess you guys are too! :)
  25. Hello my lovelies!! I'm back home!!! Gosh I missed you guys sooooo much! I've been thinking a lot of you in the past couple of months and thanks to the lovely Tara (*hugstightly*) I luckily was able to keep in touch with the Twilight world also on my roadtrip through the U.S. Still I'm glad to be able to chat with all you guys again. I'm sure lots has been going on while I've been away and I haven't been able to go through all the posts on here and I'm sure it will take a while until I'm up to date with everything (you wouldn't want to see all the mail that is currently sitting on my desk waiting for me to get through..*haha*) Anyway, I hope all of you are doing fine! *many hugs*
