This is Dave Phillips,one of the Autographica organisers.
I wanted to let you guys know what to expect from Autographica.
Firstly it is an event aimed at the autograph collector or dealer who wants a relaxed weekend
meeting celebrities and engaging in his hobby. Typically we do not get the queues for celebrity signatures
that you will find at collectormania.
Secondly we do not limit the number of signatures you can obtain or the time spent with the celebrity.
Our show is all about meeting the guests and treasuring those moments with them.
Thirdly photography is welcomed and guests will not charge for the privilege either.
The show has a great atmosphere and is a world away from the hustle and bustle of Collectormania
I have read all the comments on this forum and agree with all of you in that the show in the past has generally attracted a slightly older audience but having said that in the past few years we have had a big participation from families especially as the show is free to anyone under 15 providing they are accompanied by a paying adult.
Our Gala Dinner is one of the highlights of the show and in the past we have had guest speakers such as
Marina Sirtis, George Lazenby,Larry Hagman and many more.
At Autographica we pride ourselves on getting those guests who have never visited the U.K before
and this year will hold more than a few surprises for you all.
Both Garry and i will be up at Collectormania to meet you all and answer any questions you might have.
