We gave Kate Mulgrew a picture book about the Netherlands. It was a gift from the entire "dutch kate mulgrew fanclub", only four of the club could go to the convention. We wrote everyones names in the book and something like "From the Dutch Kate Mulgrew fanclub". She seemed quite happy with it, and I can't see why it should be creepy. Exactly. I paid 20 quid for her to scribble her name on a picture. That should be "present" enough to "buy" at least 5 seconds of her time to acknowledge I am even there! I know. I understand how you feel, it also happened to me, remember? But, as Bob said earlier; she isn't used to this kind of conventions. At most star trek conventions she has to write very very fast because of all the people who want an autograph. And no, she is not greedy...Really, she could buy all of our little presents for herself, she doesn't need them. It's the gesture that matters. It's just a little something to get her attention. But I have to agree, she could have, at least, look at you and say thank you... I don't know why she didn't, really. I only know that this is the first time in all these years that I heard some negative reviews on Kate. Usually people are charmed by her and say she was so nice to all of her fans. And she is! Really, give her another chance, please.

Oh, so that means I am not a real fan and I am only after her autograph because I didn't give her a present and got a simple Star Trek picture signed? Of course not. I just said it's very handy for getting some attention. That I learned, because two years ago I had the standard picture signed by her, and also didn't have any presents(well I had one but was too nervous to give it ), and she didn't see me....

Oh no, really! There are lots of people who only care about her autograph. Hell, there are already autographs from LFCC for sale on ebay! These collectors just want to complete there collection or sell the autographs they got.

Yeah, she was really nice with me too. On both saturday and sunday. I guess that showing that you're a fan makes all the difference. A unique picture, a little present...it shows that you're not just after an autograph, but are interested in her as well. It doesn't always work, she is only human and of course some people get dissapointed. I was dissapointed too, two years ago at the galileo7 convention in Germany when she didn't look up, but I understood it. I'm sorry some of you didn't get what you expected to get. But just try it again, it's worth it! Oh and please get her again for future events!

Tea at five is a play Kate is currently doing, it's about the life of Katharine Hepburn. It's very succesful in the USA, and it's been touring around the country for 3 years now. Now we are trying to get this play to europe so we can see it too. Kate already said she would love to do it, so there is a change we might succeed! That's what the shirts are for. To show Kate there are a lot of people who would love to see the play And I'm glad you don't feel bad about Kate anymore!

I'm sorry to hear you didn't get what you expected from kate. It happened to me at the galileo7 convention in germany in 2003. She just signed my pic and didn't look up. But you have to understand she would probably have been very tired after a long day of signing 700/800 autographs. It's just impossible to talk to every single one of them. I had my autograph signed as well but she was SO kind to me and my friends! She said hello, took our gifts and thanked us, asked us where we are from and asked us how we where. She even posed for some of my friends even though she wasn't allowed to do so. She even interrupted her break to pose with our group(the girls with the 'Tea at five' shirts on). I guess you just had some bad luck, just like I had 2 years ago. But really, don't feel bad about her now! She is only human and she can't be happy and chatty all the time. You came at the end of the day, of course she is tired and of course she wants to leave and go back to the hotel! I hope you will have more luck the next time you see her! Because it is worth it, she is one hell of a lady but only human...
