  1. You Star Wars fans are so lucky prints like this are made and reunions like this are held. I've been a Battlestar Galactica signature collector (both original and new series) for many, many years and next to the 5 main cast (who do cons), I had to track down just about everybody who worked on this series all by myself. I'd kill for a print like this with all the guys that were for instance in the Cylon suits (original 1978 series). Sadly, I've only found 4 people that are confirmed Cylons, of which 2 are dead. My biggest hope is that they'll do an ILM/FX reunion/artprint one day, that had all legends like John Dykstra, Richard Edlund, Dennis Muren, Ralph McQuarrie, Joe Johnston, Grant McCune, Lorne Peterson, Phill Tippett, Jon Berg, Steve Gawley and many more on it, since all these guys also worked on Battlestar Galactica (next to Star Wars of course). I have all their signatures separately, but not on one print. Plus I'd LOVE to see that reunion. Maybe an idea for a future Showmaster event?!?! An ILM reunion? (off topic: check out some of the great stories these ILM guys have at my GALACTICA.TV website. Last month I talked to Richard Edlund and Phil Tippett; both of course also worked on Star Wars and there are plenty of questions on that too )
  2. No, he didn't change his mind. He asked me to contact them shortly after Screenheroes, because he was interested in doing Collectormania... but as mentioned before: THEY didn't even reply to several e-mails I've sent! I have no idea if he's still interested now... (SM still didn't contact me, so why bother even asking him. A few happy fans are nice, but that's no invatation... ).
  3. He does have an agent. I can't for the life of me remember his name at the moment but he definitely had an agent in Holland because I sat talking to him for ages. That was Dean Gibbs....and he is no longer Noah agent (the reason doesn't matter) True. Noah split with Dean shortly after Screenheroes in the Netherlands.
  4. New Galactica episode Scar is a direct rip-off of The Angriest Angel where Chiggie von Richthoffen was also a superiour alien craft that killed many good pilots. Etcetera... I do love both series, but man, SAAB was really good! Loved the final 4 episodes where the real Chigs are revealed and plots twist around like crazy. And what a cliffhanger in the final episode... we'll never know what happened now... I watched Scar with my brother who is also a SAAB fan and we were both shouting at the TV becase it was such a rip-off of Chiggi von Richthofffen (I'm glad you spelt that first ) ...and I'm still angry that they ended it on that cliffhanger! Actually I liked the episode where Starbuck was in between the blood and guts of the Cylon ship better than the SAAB episode with the same storyline (though Starbuck crashed on a planet because of a dogfight went wrong together with a broken down Cylon she has to fix does sound familiar as well ) But I did mind them ripping off The Angriest Angel and fracking it up. It's great story but they focussed too much on the competition between Starbuck and Racetrack and not enough on the total chaos Scar caused on the fleet. That's why I prefer the SAAB episode. The way McQueen fights it because it became personal to him is much better than the sobby ending where they mention the names of the lost pilots... If you rip it off do it better not worse
  5. You are a crusader against fake autographs? You purchased a bunch of autographs from "bigsuperstar" on eBay who is well known for selling fakes (and nothing else than fakes): http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...1&iid=-1&de=off You sold them to other collectors, didn't you? I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news Mark, but looking at your profile, you bought a big amount from very bad autographdealers on eBay yourself. I count at least 100 you bought over the past years that are from dealers with a bad reputation and well known fakers. I'm somewhat of a hater of fakers myself and I have an eBay blacklist. So it surprised me that a crusader like yourself has bought so many. I hope you know this by now (and learned it the hard way yourself and that's the reason you now try to help others as well). I truely hope you indeed didn't resell them, but just tore them up... If you like I can e-mail you the dealers who's autographs you can throw in the trash without me even looking at them...
  6. Seriously? Yes, I've send several e-mails. Maybe they thought it was a joke, but I was quite serious. I have no idea if Noah still likes to do Collectormania (I can ask him if Showmasters are interested), but last year October he specifically asked me to check it out. By the way: @ topicstarter: it's Hathaway, not Hatherway
  7. Mr. T asks $100,000 for a weekend. Within this weekend you can put him on a con, let him do movies or commercials, whatever you like. Dirk Benedict and Dwight Schulz do cons together, but if Mr. T comes as well their price goes up drastically, since they want to make the same amount then! :) I know this because we had Dirk and Dwight on a convention I helped organizing and this comes from Mr. T's agent since we wanted to book him as well!
  8. Noah wanted to come to Collectormania and asked me to check if they were interested. I contacted Showmasters upon that several times (since he has no agent). They never even replied!
  9. I see so many comparissons to New Galactica. Starbuck=Vansen (actual star, female, ace pilot), Apollo=West (sidekick, silent, more serious). The whole militairy look/approach. Human Cylons vs. InVitros/Tanks (both controversial but still helpful to the humans). And storywise they really ripped a lot. Like how an enemy craft was used as a Trojan Horse to get in enemy territory. Both crafts even had blood/guts/living tissue kind of machinery they had to learn how to control to fly the damn thing.
  10. I wouldn't mind talking to creators Glen Morgan and James Wong (also known for the X-Files) either! And true: James Morrison was in 24 so it would kill 2 birds with one stone!
  11. Morgan Weisser (Lt. Nathan West) Lanei Chapman (Lt. Vanessa Damphousse) James Morrison (Col. T.C. McQueen) Joe de la Fuente (Lt. Paul Wang) Rodney Rowland (Lt. Cooper Hawkes) Kristen Cloke (Capt. Shane Vansen) Tucker Smallwood (Commander Ross) This was the best and freshest Scifi series of the mid 90s to hit TV. After a good first season and a smashing cliffhanger at the end of it, it was decided not to make a second... At the end of first season they all toured the US to promote the series (even including creators James Wong and Glen Morgan). After that non did a convention again. I'd love to see a reunion of the cast one day (preferably next Collectormania ). It's been exactly 10 years ago and the DVD set has just been brought out last year, so it should be a nice time to do a reunion! Who agrees?!?!
  12. @SHOWMASTERS: You still "owe" us Grace Park for not showing up at the London Film and Comic Con!!! I'm not really waiting for Jamie Bamber to show up (sorry)... I rather see bigger ones like Edward James Olmos added. Or one who hasn't done a lot of cons yet like Kandyse McClure, Tahmoh Penikett, Michael Hogan
  13. Great! Thanks for the replies: wow, 150 UACC dealers, that's more than half of all UACC dealers... Definitely one I'm going to visit then!
  14. This sounds strange, but I'm not interested in the invited stars at all! The stars I'd like to get signatures of are.... uhh... dead. So my questions more relates to the dealers. I'm from the Netherlands and I'd like to come over for a day just to see what the dealers are offering. Astronauts don't make happy, but what about vintage stars? I'd love to get a Hitchcock signed photo or a James Stewart... so: How many dealers are there (how big is it)? And are there also dealers with vintage entertainement signatures like this (or only astronauts and Lincoln handwritten letters). And are there also dealers that sell popular entertainement (the LOTR signed photos, as you would expect on CM) or is this "not done" on this event...? Thanks for your reply
