  1. We are in the same position: two regular Gold Pass tickets purchased last year, and now, unfortunately, we are not able to attend due to an unforeseen change in our circumstances. I can understand the reasons for not refunding, but a transfer to others would not harm anything or anyone, but until now, there seems no opportunity for either. I agree, this should be looked into, and hopefully soon...
  2. We really love the Gold Passes and everything that it brings. "Making them work" was never an issue with anyone, but I only wish we had read the announcement above a bit earlier, as we only discovered some of the perks during the show, or even afterwards, like the free photoshoot. Just read about that. Maybe it's an idea to make a print of all the things you get and put that with the Gold Pass package, so those of us who are not on this forum or website regularly get this info too.
  3. Indeed, thanks to everyone for being so nice, polite and helpful. And a lot of respect for doing such a great job!
  4. I sure hope that is nothing more than a rumour! 879628[/snapback] Yes, it is nothing more than a rumour, since the official reason provided for Mr. Shatners cancellation was that he had some work commitments and was not capable of fulfilling his German obligations. But in the wake of what happened next, this rumour turns out to be a bit more than that, since the next thing we see is Mr. Shatner signing up for three days at CollectorMania. In the same weekend he was originally scheduled to appear in Germany. Now it is well known that Mr. Shatner is not going to conventions to socialise with fans (after 40+ years of doing that I can imagine he's not particularly keen on doing that anymore), but that is the purpose of the German convention. Not so at CM, that's as its name indicates a Collector's trade fair. THat could be the explanation but it still is a slap in the face of the German and Dutch fans who hoped to meet him in Neuss and who purchased tickets in advance for this. The two times I met Mr. Shatner he was polite but nothing more. He replied when spoken to and he shook hands when invited to. Not overly cordial, but again, after so many years seeing it all, doing it all and hearing it all I can forgive him something.
  5. I have met Julie Caitlin Brown on several occassions, we had her once here in Holland as one of the guests at a small convention, and that is good opportunity to get to know someone quite well. .It is true, she is very much 'present' and loud and she is an absolute horror to convention organizers, but I have never heard her yell or scream or being rude to fans (or to actors), in my presence at least. Are you sure this is not a cultural thing: American versus British behaviour? I know that British often find Americans rude especially people with the personality of JCB. One other thing I noticed: JCB is at her best when she has something to do: let her sit at a table with no one paying attention and she becomes bored and strats manifesting herself. Let a convention proceed too smoothly so that she just has nothing to do, she'll find something to do. But let her solve a problem and she gets it done, there's no doubt about that. Her sense of humor is also rather special, and you have to get used to this. I have heard many stories about her, but let me tell you one other thing. We recently had a bit of a mess at a Dutch convention. It was JCB who saved the second day for us fans, because she stepped in and negotiated a new agreement with the organizers, not to let us fans down. I do appreciate that. I also appreciated it when she came over to one of the actors with a request from a fan who was too shy to ask the actor directly. She took care of that for this person. I have respect for someone who has this eye for detaill in the face of a much larger problem.
  6. We have one that only needs Jolene, so we are going to C7. And to another show, any opportunity to get her autograph.... Greetz, Ron (don't I know you from somewhere??)
  7. Anyone, who actually delivered some lines in LoTR would be welcomed by me. No disrespect intended, but I am really not so interested in "the third Orc on the right" and "the second Elf from the left, in the third row". My greatest wish? Elijah! Ron
  8. Scott Bakula! No one else...Captain Archer..... Ron
  9. Hi As a big Buffy fan and an even bigger Angel fan I would really welcome any actor/actress from those series. Highest on my wish list are Dave Boreanaz, Alexis Denisof and Alyson Hannigan. Greetz, Ron
  10. Well, any guest from my current autograph projects would be very welcome: Buffy & Angel Star Wars Star Trek Stargate SG1 Harry Potter Lord of the Rings (but limited to those actors who have a speaking role) I have many people that I would always like to meet anywhere, the most prominent people being: Connor Trinneer Dominic Keating Anthony Montgomery John Billingsley Nana Visitor Garrett Wang Robert Picardo Manu Intiraymi Alexis Cruz Warwick Davis Jeremy Bulloch Claudia Christian Jason Carter The list is a bit longer but these are the ones I cherish good memories with. Hope to see you all, BTW, at Collectormania7, which will be my very first one. Greetz, Ron
