Sharpies do/did come in gold, I got mine on Ebay as I haven't been able to find them in the shop lately, as theyre as good as the black/silver ones. Most 'real' collectors I know, ie people who've been doing this for years and know what they're doing, ie not teenage fangirls, swear by black pens over silver/gold. Silver/gold WILL rub off if you don't store them properly, acid free tissue paper and plastic cases are a must.

I was under the impression that Viggo doesn't like organised conventions because he hates people paying for his autograph? And the one convention who I definately know spoke to him said that he wanted a seperate area away from other signings so he could display his art etc. Ian McKellen definately, and Orlando Bloom (if memory serves correctly) both sign genuinely through the mail if you write to them, although you won't get a dedication with Orlando, you usually do with Ian. x
