  1. I also hope jake is ok. He was the main reason I attended this event. Is there any chance of getting autographed photos from showmasters directly as I am aware that he was too cold to continue signing after about ninety minutes?
  2. Sad news indeed. I met Michael Sheard in '99 and despite being surrounded by more well-known and familiar actors, he was definately the life and soul of the convention. He was one of those real ACTORRRRS - the ones who have a voice that carries across a crowded room demanding to be heard. And, as many of you have said already, he was a true gentleman. A genuine smile and an anecdote for everyone who came to see him. I was so taken by just how wonderful and entertaining this man was that i immediately bought his book. It shows in his words and also in his meetings with people on the convention scene that this man had a love for life and a great deal of warmth and affection towards his fans. He will be sorely missed.
  3. All the staff were lovely and fluffy. Especially the one that was handing out tickets for Paul Mc Gann on Saturday. Anyone get her number?
  4. Without a doubt Dirk Benedict made my day. Splendid chappie that gave lots of time to everyone he met. Much more professional than some of the "bigger stars" there.
  5. I dont think we can put Carrie Fisher's attitude down to being tired. I was guest 300 and got to see her at around 1:30pm. She'd just had lunch and should have been ready to go but when i got there, she didnt look up once nor did she chat or pose for pictures. Might as well have been live from a satellite link for all the human contact we got from here.
  6. Yeah definately agree that Dirk Benedict was FANTASTIC. He personalised every autograph and genuinely listened to the fans, had loads of time for photo ops and seemed happy to be there. Totally nice blokey!
  7. Mon Mothma charged a tenner! And she was lovely, not like Carrie Fisher who couldnt even give the fans eye contact or a smile. tsk.
