  1. Old Doctor Who guests -main cast or guest stars from the new series that cross over into other non fantasy series Classic sit com and/ or detective series stars Blue Peter presenters thrugh the years people to attract a parof the regular collectormania audience and also the shopping centre audience Can i also say its brilliant going back to the shopping centre. the best venue. cant wait
  2. I have been planning to get to the event so i can enter at 11 rather than an early bird. Will i miss out on vq tickets if i get there for 11?
  3. A-list guests are great news. I am not quite sure as to what qualifies as an A list guest ( everyone probably has different criteria) but to be promised a range of them at one show is very exciting. With the move to the new venue the quality of the guests will be the major deciding factor as to whether I (and most of the people I know) will attend. Showmasters delivered some amazing stars at the Centre and to get more (and better?) all together at one show will be fantastic To attract - the headliners of the major US sf and fantasy shows ( Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ali Larter, Kristen Bell, lena Headey) -main cast of Uk sf and fantasy shows (Freema Agyeman, Hannah Spearitt, Lucy Brown, Emma Griffiths Christina Cole) contemporary horror and sf movie stars (Rose Macgowan , Milla Janovich. Danielle Harris,) horror and sf icons ( Jamie Lee Curtis, Daryl Hannah ,Heather Langenkamp, classic movie stars ( Sigourney Weaver, Dan Ackroyd, Molly Ringwald) and with the extra space to branch out into attacting the stars of other shows with a huge following (24, csi, ncis, prison break, Chuck et al) would be great good luck
  4. ii would be great to meet the third goodie at mk after tim and bill at earls court
  5. I almost didn't go this year after the horrendous goings on last year but so glad I did as I had a fantastic time. Probably the best con I've been to great guest line up and all friendly funny and interesting talks plenty of space in the hall good and some new dealers it would be churlish to gripe and honestly i can't think of any problems Brilliant
  6. Georgia Moffet was lovely and charming Peter Davison was very chatty especially about Last Detective and gave a great talk in the afternoon The Goodies were really funny in their talk and very nice chaps to meet. Margot Kidder was really enthusiatic and nice to chat to. The Con was spacious, had some dealers I'd never seen before and was a fantastic day out. Brilliant
  7. Is it right that peter davison is only £10 per autograph? It seems very low given who he is compared to some other attendees. Not that I want it to be more but at that price I can get more that 1 autograph.
  8. Jenny Agutter. Please.pretty please
  9. No it hasn't This was my 7th collectormania. I usually go on the Friday and there is always plenty of space but couldn't make that day this time . On Saturday I was surprised how easy it was to move around (and I hate crowds). Sunday was busy but that was down to the 2 big Torchwood guest queues. That would still be a problem in a dedicated hall (the heroes scrum at Earls court was much worse). At the centre there is free admission. no queueing to get in, good places to eat outside the centre and the chance to look at the shops and the market. Please don't move.
  10. Nancy Allen was great. Was so enthusiastic about Blow out she started signing my photo with its title. Lea Thompson was charming . And both looked amazing. Great guests.
  11. my 7th collectormania. Went with a friend for Saturday and Sunday. Travelling to and from Milton Keynes was ok (despite the lack of trains) thanks to the feel good factor of the weekend Saturday was quieter than I expected but made it easier to get around the whole convention Sunday was packed (more centre shoppers than saturday) love the venue (as its nice to visit the centre's shops and get out for lunch) love the dealers tables (great stills) and 3 great guests Nancy Allen- really fun chatting about Blow out Lea Thompson- charming (I loved Caroline in the City) Bruce Boxleitner - he'd just stepped off a plane but was really gracious The torchwood signing seemed to be a bit of a scrum and the selection of guest stills was weak but these are minor quibbles Great weekend Any chance of US TV procedural guests (CSI, NCIS etc) or Primeval stars (UK SF that gets 5 million viewers)
