If you could afford it , may be worth hanging on to - you know how things such as this sometimes become very collectable ( wrong labelling / spelling errors etc.. ) Just a thought Mine should be there when I get home - I am dreading it having read this

Dave Prowse site says he is there for all 3 days - but keep checking

Just to add my 2 cents ... to find another venue may be advantageous in terms of space - however having organised several events at places like the NEC / Earls Court etc.. the price of hiring a hall ( and other related costs ) would make your hair fall out ...... it would certainly make autos very expensive.

During previous events I have been to they will sign anything - in my limited experience signatures on your own items are cheaper than those on the photos they have Dont know if this is the same for CM though

Where people have played a number of parts in films - do they tend to have photos for each part or just a generic one of their best known role ?

Just checked the Dave Prowse website and it says that he will probably be doing all 3 days.

Im going to play it by ear and see what the queues are like .... going to go for the SW people first then Sam Jones not really into LOTR

Im planning on getting there about 8.30 - 9 but have a long drive so it all depends on traffic - if anyone is in the position to get a ticket on my behalf Im sure I could stretch to buying them a pint or something !! If anyone could help drop me a mail or add me to their MSN to sort the details I suppose it all depends on the day as some of the SW people havent confirmed what day they are going - Ill just have to suck it and see. But as I said I would be a bit disappointed not to get anyone on the day Just as an aside - no one seems that excited about Sam Jones and Melody Anderson - am I the only one who loves that film

mmmmm ive already stated im more interested in meeting the minor characters than the biggys so would be pretty gutted if I couldnt meet at least one of them ( not bothered who really ) .......... at previous events - not CMs - it has been fairly quiet at the tail end of the afternoon - is CM the same ?

My personal experience would echo this - just be yourself. I havent met loads of 'celebs' but the ones I have met, I have just spoken to them like I would anyone else......... Some others I have met that wouldnt make the CM list Fergal Sharkey The guy who played the captain in the Onedin line ( ask an oldie ! ) Dave Perry ( Gamesmaster ) Michelle Gayle ( when she was in Grange Hill ) and I once got ran off the road by Oliver Letwin ( Tory MP )

Reaslistically, if you dont get there at early doors - what are the chances of meeting any of the guests ?
