  1. Alexandra Meon. She'd be the next best thing to John Simm or David Tennant - her portrayal of Lucy Saxon is awesome. And she's pretty!
  2. I would be even more excited if it was John Simm because his Master is my favourite character from New Who (even more than David's Doctor). But I don't see it being his sort of thing at all... however, if he were to do it, that would be more than awesome.
  3. Well, unlikely as it probably is, I'm going for David Tennant. Because you didn't say Series 5 - you said 'New Who.'
  4. I think Matt and Karen are both terrific! I'm not going to be drawn into the 'do you like him better than David Tennant?' debate because both are great in their own (different) ways and at the moment (and possibly always) it's impossible to choose one above the other. Eleven seems to be quicker to anger and has a tendency to violence that wasn't quite so marked in Ten. And I love the fact that he called a Dalek 'Sweetheart' in tonight's episode! Right, off to watch the Prisoner now....
  5. I get the 'there are no rooms available for that code' as well when trying to book online! If there are no rooms left i will be furious as the code only came thru on 9 april and when i checked the forum says problem with the code, trying to fix so today it says fixed but obviously not. i have to stay the sunday night as well as my train ticket is booked for the monday... if the special code is only for two nights well thats very annoying. i suppose i'll have to book the two nights and add one at a higher price... not happy. ps Managed to book 3 nights now, with breakfast £87 per night. not quite £72.45 (rate came up as £72 until i added breakfast!) but at least I'm booked and won't have to sleep in the foyer on sunday night lol...
  6. Yes, there is still a problem - it will only let me book for Friday and Saturday, and we need to stay Sunday too! Is it worth booking those days anyway and hoping we can book the Sunday later, or better to wait until the problem is ironed out before booking? Just don't want to find all the rooms have gone before I can book... won't be online again until v.late Tuesday night (possibly not until wednesday evening) as going to Cardiff Mon/Tues...
  7. Hi - I've had a look around but can't see anywhere else to post this, so apologies if its in the wrong place! I just wanted to say thanks to you guys for a great weekend at Hub2 - Hub1 was my first Convention for many years (decades in fact - I used to go to the Star Trek Cons in the 80's - anyone here remember the Dragonara in Leeds?!?) and I had a really great time - Hub2 was, if anything, even better. Great guests, extremely well organised, absolutely no complaints at all. So well done and thank you. I've already signed up for Hub3 and am looking forward to being able to stay in the Convention hotel, should be a blast!

Any chance David Tennant might be a guest? Does he do Conventions?? *hopes*

I agree 100% - he was lovely! I also think Matt Ripey would be a brilliant guest to have again....
  10. Are the progams sent out with tickets before the event? Or do we collect when registering? What information do we need to take to registration to prove we have paid? Just wondering...!
  11. I haven't voted at all because personally I wouldn't be interested in attending cons for any of those shows. I did the Star Trek Convention circuit in the 70's and 80's and whilst I'm sure lots of people would be interested (particularly if it covers the many Star Trek spinoffs) it wouldn't be for me. What I would like to see next year are the following: Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes - sign me up right now! Torchwood (am booked for my first one this year) Dr Who (have never been to one but love New Who and would go like a shot (also used to enjoy Classic Who but not my main interest) Waking the Dead Spooks Whether any of these could be combined I'm not sure - TW and DW have enough for their own seperate cons, probably so do Spooks/Waking the Dead. Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes would probably be great combined since most of the cast are the same (Come back Sam Tyler all is forgiven). Perhaps the shows you haven't mentioned are already in planning for next year, if so I apologise. Wasn't aware....
