I wish I could've gone, I was contemplating going there during my lunch break pluis maybe missing a lesson or two but I decided it would be too much hassle Seeing those photos makes me regret not going deeply. I've just started watching Firefly and I cannot express in words how much im loving it!! KIWI

My first Collectormania was only last year (C6) and I had one of the best days of my life, it was my first big convention, i planned for months and I had a lovely day. C7 was fun, had a lovley day but it didnt beat the first time C8 was pretty much the same, great day, meet people etc but didn't have the spark any longer. I know that I only come to these conventions with a very limited amount of money in my pocket but through going with friends (who have money) and getting my timing right and watching for dead or open ques I manage to meet a load of people. So i don't feel cheated out of money at all, I just feel like I've had a lovely day, with my friends and thats that KIWI

I watched episode 1 last night!!! Finaly i downloaded it, i still need to get episode 2 but OMG yes...the hat. What was with the hat And since when is Warrick married And its nice to see they made soime reference to the events of Grave Danger And wow, now there gonna find the accomplice And Greg has slightly new hair AGAIN And theres new opening credits which are really lovely And i thought Hodges and Sophia were going to be in the opening creds from season 6 onwards.... Bringing your own drink onto licenced premises is a major no-no; likely to get you heaved out, because it can get the licensees into trouble; they're licensed to sell drinks for consumption on the premises, not let people turn up and consume their own stuff. The conduct and behaviour of people in their establishment can come back on them; they're supposed to keep an eye on their clientele and not serve them if they are (too) drunk, and intervene if people start looking lairy - smuggling your own booze in makes it tricky to keep an eye on people if they're not coming up to the bar occasionally to get drinks. It may also sidestep any procedures they have (or have had to employ) about letting glass containers into certain areas if they are only supposed to use plastic. Finally, and debates about particular prices here aside, it is rather rude. If everybody took their own drink in they wouldn't make any money on the bar and so probably wouldn't want to host the party again. As for having a few drinks before you go out to reduce your expensive consumption when you're out, not a bad idea but a) don't get so drunk at the start that you won't get let in anywhere, and be careful you don't end up drinking just as much as usual once you have gone out and therefore end up way drunker (and more vulnerable) than intended. 876013[/snapback] I'd rather they feel bad about not making enough money,not following glass procedures etc etc than me feel bad about losing all of mine to ridiculous drink prices.... Hi fulcrum i was one of the people with an all bran pack for my friend Ian and he didn't look impressed at all when i went up i can tell you, but it made me and few people laugh lol so that's all that counts Way to go !!! 874759[/snapback] LOL!!!!!! the look on his face was priceless he didn't look at me or say one word, so i explained about the all-bran pack he took it off me, looked at it then back up at me as if i had 4 frickin heads. Yeah, they only film about 3 or 4 episodes in advance apparently so considering the series wraps up in the USA in May, I'd think all filming would definately be finished by April leaving the cast free for C9 and LFACC4 Josh Holloway, Matthew Fox, Terry Quinn, anyone!!! KIWI

Any lost cast in addition to Maggie would be brilliant! Josh Holloway, Matthew Fox or Terry Quinn would be my favourite guests however. KIWI

Yeah it was the quiest Collectormania I've been too, the fact that i could actually walk though the passage between the Nick Stahl/Summer Glau etc signing bit and the small costa coffee seating area was an indication that the crowds wernt so big as before. But of course it was nice that i didn't get squashed and I hey, its a bonus if the event is emptyer KIWI

I saw you! I was standing by the window at the time pulling faces and we were pissing ourselves with laughter when we saw you go up with the All bran box!! KIWI

My mates been saying she wants to go next year to see what its like but I'm just going to say no. Why pay £15 for a ticket when you can probably go to a random club somewhere for cheaper and have more fun. KIWI

I'd say it was more like £100,000 he earned...considering the lump sum he gets payed to attend in the first place. As for shouting at Shatner I'm not going to say i wasn't tempted....but I settled for pulling faces at him through the window insetad KIWI

I had a lovely C8 experience Got up at 5am, left mine at 6am, got to MK center at 8:30am, grabbed tickets. Met. Nick Stahl-Great guy, I didnt know what to say so it was brief, but we got a cool photo with him and stuff Nick Brendon-Much better than last time!! Must be his new sitcom taking off in the US which is making him happy:) Adam busch-Not quite so much of a happy guy as last time, but we did photos, chatted a little, he was cool:) Kelly Donovan-Friendly, lovely guy! I got to admit, we got our photo with him because it was no posed pics with Nick....my friend was hoping to fool people into thinking Kelly was Nick:s Leslie Gratham-Funny, my mates an eastenders fan so we went up! He was our first guest of the day, very friendly:) Paul Norell-Fantastic guy, spoke to us for ages, did a lovely photo with us and declared us "non conformist essex girls" coz we had no white stilletos... Karen Allen-Was cool, she was knitting, lol, I really wanted to meet Summer Glau and Andy Hallett but I ran out of money and I couldn't really hang around to wait for the oppertunity to slip through without paying for an auto so i didn't get a proper meet, but I'm sure there will be other oppertunities We had great fun taking photos of Shatner through the glass and pulling faces at him:rolleyes: Went to Lets Eat for lunch and unfortunately they dont sell mountain Dew anymore:( had a nice day, saw cool people, was good:) KIWI
