  1. I have three original Star Wars posters and so wanted them signed by Hamill, Ford & Fisher. That would be three autographs per guest and there are other people who may have other items to be signed on top of this. It isn't unusual to have five or more items to be signed. Had I more money I would have had another from Sigourney Weaver at LFCC.
  2. I don't sell the autographs I get from conventions, premieres etc. However, I do realise that autograph dealers provide a service to 'real fans' who are unable to meet these people. It does annoy me slightly in that a dealer might be getting multiple photos signed to sell on whereas I may only need one autograph on a poster and end up with nothing.
  3. To be honest I'd just drop all the superfluous stuff. It is just giving Showmasters more work and really all that is important is 1) Autograph 2) Photograph & 3) Talk. That being said the photo sessions with the Clock and Tombstone for the MJF & Lloyd Diamond passes were a nice touch.
  4. I'm definitely up for some Blade Runner guests. I've already met Cassidy & Young but I'd like to meet Rutger Hauer & Daryl Hannah.
  5. I got Sigourney Weaver's auto on the Saturday with a VT although it was VT Number 3 so I thought I'd have a chance.
  6. VQTickets are the best idea ever!!!! Otherwise you'd be standing in queues all day long!!!
  7. He had a monster of a queue to meet him and he was great. No problem with table photos and stood up for it. Put quotes with the autograph and was just lovely to meet.
  8. If it was £1,500 a photo at least it would be a small queue.
  9. I was thinking that was a possibility. It will be hard to top the guest line up they had this year.
  10. I'm on your side with the table photos issue. It annoyed me that there were so many signs up for 'no photo / no posed photos' at the tables. The thing is I'd have liked a quick table photo with some of the guests I got autographs from, but I wasn't going to go and spend a further amount buying the posed photos for those guests I am referring to. It is a lot more money for me and it also wastes much more of my day (queuing to pay and queuing for the photo shoot). Furthermore the guests I am thinking of, like the original poster, did not have long queues. Therefore the only consequence of this is that I end up rather annoyed. Please no comments such as 'you can't expect Sigourney Weaver to do table photos' or 'RDA was a slow signer and wouldn't have gotten through his queue for autos had he taken table photos'. That is not what I am trying to say. John Ratzenberger for example was not extremely busy (which surprised me) and he was no posed photos and the same for numerous others.
  11. Considering what Marc McClure said of his mate Tom Wilson; dragging him here "next year or 5 years" presumably referring to the next reunion and assuming that he was approached by SM how close did you get to him coming Showmasters?
  12. That's the difficulty with posters. It is nearly impossible to keep them in mint condition when adding signatures all the time. You can get them linenbacked but it is an expensive process.
  13. Definitely buy the JPEG. It is an extra fiver but it is better to have the digital file so you can print off a copy if your photo gets damaged or you want to resize it.
  14. I didn't have a go but thought it was fantastic for the CosPlayers especially. Those folks that dress up really add to the show (that Lego Batman was mental; I was hot in a T-Shirt so I don't know how he survived!)
  15. I am a fan of these shows in general and think Jason and the team do a good job (although when trapped on Level 3 on Saturday I may have had a different opinion; though they sorted this issue for Sunday with directions to staircase No. 2). My beef is with table photos. This year almost all the guests had a 'professional photo shoot' and consequently a significant proportion of guests had printed A4 sheets of paper stuck to their boards 'No Photos' or 'No Posed Photos'. I can understand for the 'bigger' guests that they are going to want to sell the photoshoots and therefore they won't do table photos and that is fair enough. However it appears that now it is almost the majority of guests that are doing this and I presume the guests or their managers believe they can effectively double their fee. But to be honest it is just bloody annoying because I have to waste another half hour of my day going to that person's photo shoot. Just say it is £5/10 extra for a photo at the table and be upfront about sticking the arm in a bit. At least that way I will still be out of pocket a bit but at least I won't be out of time.
  16. The make up job looks great, but why is he wearing an LFCC T-Shirt!?! Had I paid for this 'make-up' photo shoot I would have wanted him in the jumper. I wouldn't have wanted the LFCC branding on the T-shirt like it is.
  17. I think the regular Virtual Tickets were up to around 50 at 6pm on Sunday. I would agree with the above poster and say that his signature is full and it is not done in a flash. He seemed to take time and care with people's items.
  18. I would guess that the Greenscreen is chroma keyed out of the photo and I'd presume that this keying will be applied to the whole photo, rather than tracing around you & guest. Therefore if it were me I'd not wear anything green.

  20. I collect only 'original' posters to get signed and have an original BTTF2 poster for MJF to sign. The UK Quads and US One Sheets are the most expensive generally but there are also some nice Aussie Daybills that tend to be cheaper and they are a really nice size for display. I got a Top Gun Daybill for Tom Cruise to sign which looka great. Also lobby card sets are also good to get signed. Personally I wouldn't go for repro posters to get signed. Also you'll tend to find if a movie has been rereleased then the poster will be cheaper more often than not.
  21. I went to a carpet store and the carpets are on 4 metre lengths and are rolled on a thick cardboard tube. I got them to cut me off a length enough to hold a Quad/ One Sheet and then topped and tailed it with cardboard and tape. King Kong could stand on it and it wouldn't bend.
