Some thoughts about this years LFCC from Jason :-)
nvirtue replied to showmasters's topic in London Film & Comic Con 2016
A lot of the time a 'big' guest is subjective. I remember last year there was a post from someone that said Michael J Fox wasn't a major guest. You can't please everyone. For me there are a few guests I am looking forward to meeting for this LFCC and I think overall the event is getting bigger and better each year. -
To be quite frank, you're paying a lot of money for these autographs; even £10 is more than some people make in an hour and it takes 10 seconds to sign a photo. If it is not right then you should ask for it to be done again. There is no need for anyone, guest included, to feel embarrassed.

Latest Guest Announcement - RUTGER HAUER
nvirtue replied to showmasters's topic in London Film & Comic Con 2016
An awesome guest add for me. Everyone's 'big' guest differs but I'm glad to add him to my Blade Runner poster with Ford on there. I think in recent years the prices have gone mental so I am not going to follow others by saying the autograph price is amazing. It is very reasonable but let's not let these increasing autograph prices go to our heads. £25 is still £25. That being said I think his fee is very reasonable and would welcome guests of his calibre at this price point. -

Holy crap. I really am loving these reunion type events. It is great to have so many actors from the same movie at the one show. However, I must say I am now waiting for the 'biggie'... Achwell Foley -

Latest Guest Announcement - MICHAEL BIEHN
nvirtue replied to showmasters's topic in Film & Comic Con Belfast 2016
A solid guest announcement for Belfast. He has been in some really great movies. Any chance he'll be bringing his wife? I met her before at a SM con and she was lovely. Good to see the price at £20 for Belfast. Any more than that and I think it would be too much. I remember last year Carl Weathers was announced and then a few days prior to the event his fee increased significantly. I think the price point for Belfast is important to help the event grow. Now, how about Linda Hamilton? -
When the opening title came up and said "30 Years Ago, Four Scientists saved New York" (We'll not quibble over the fact that Winston wasn't a Scientist) I literally got goosebumps as I thought they'd pulled a fast one and this new movie was actually, maybe not a true sequel, but set in the same universe as the other two movies. Then it became obvious that indeed it is a complete reboot. Goodbye goosebumps. I wish this was set in the same universe as the others, that alone would have me excited for this movie. As it is I feel a little hatred towards it and am uninterested. It is so frustrating as they have attached good people to the project and in doing so there is a chance this might be a good or great movie, I just wish they invested their talents in trying to attach it to the preexisting universe. I don't care that they have got Bill Murray et al to show up in cameo roles, I don't want to see Bill Murray in a Ghostbusters movie; I want to see Peter Venkman in a Ghostbusters movie!!!

What a great guest. Lovely. -
I enjoyed the BTTF theme last year. It is great if they can put on a show where there are a significant number of stars for the film there. For example if there was a Goonies reunion I would be more likely to get a multi signed poster done but if there was just Corey Feldman I don't know that I would get an autograph as it would mean starting a project I might not be able to finish. Looking forward to seeing the really big names be added this year. Hopefully they will be ones I do not want as this hobby is becoming expensive!
-
I would definitely be interested if they got Clint. Legend.
-
Me Neither.. None, Zero, Nothing.. Same here . Same with me. I'm itching for my next fix...I'm beginning to agree with my wife; this hobby is a sickness!
-
£300 is a lot of bread for either. Too much in my opinion. The prices are getting mad.

I'd be very surprised if he was not on Showmasters' hit list. I think we'll see him over here soon enough.
