What do you mean with "we can't book hotels at the moment", Poppy? When we checked out after LFACC 2, quite some people already booked for March because of the dates on the flyer. I admit, I did as well. But I have a credit card, so I can still change the reservation if necessary within incurring further costs. At least at the place I booked.

Has anybody read the new books out? The pblisher is named Fandemonium or something. I thought the older ones I got from the US were okay, one of them was even pretty good, but another one was absolutely crappy.

A German Weta site is supposed to go online in January. The advertisements here said that they do also sell the Minas Morgul figurine. I am not sure if they still do as it's sold out, but I will definetely let you know if they do have that item.

RDA is signing for charity now. through a special website but who knows? perhaps if the right organisers offer him something he can't refuse? my most precious item is my original dark crystal poster signed by peeps who worked on the film. Oh hey that's cool, maybe you could get his autograph if your lucky. I love the movie dark crystal i used to watch that loads, but i lost the video of it when we moved our front room to the backroom * sniffles * Actually I have an RDA autograph, but on a photo. It's even made out to me. A friend of mine was so lucky to run into him after a charity event in Los Angeles, and she had the nerves to stop him in the parking lot and get a photo signed for me. She offered to try with the advert again for me, but rather hell will freeze over than I trust German and US mail and send this one to her. Maybe they have a subscription service for the rest of Europe after that. Thanks surfy_sah for being willing to help, too. Oh yes, it really is annoying. I got a couple of people taping me shows in the US. But the guys basically live in the middle of nowhere, so it makes no sense at all to even ask them about buying things for me. I am so glad the magazine is at least on sale in the UK and you are helping me out.
