For the most part I'll be going with the pictures you can get in the line at the show for individual sigs and the A3 pictures from Sherlock you can get that I'll get the cast to all sign. I like to have cast signed posters so I can frame them and put them up. I don't display the individual pics as I don't have enough room.

I've compromised and booked and Una and Mark set shoot.

Well.....it's money saved from a few birthdays, not just one. Actually mine will be during the convention so it's an excellent present to myself. I had to look toonie up! I think I'm going to go for them - I'm usually not fussed about photos once I've got one, but I haven't spent any of my birthday or Christmas money for a few years as there wasn't anything I wanted to buy so may just go all out at Sherlocked and buy everything I want. I think I'll wince when I work out how much I'll be spending on auto's as well though.

The only official things that have been posted is: Una is doing both days Lara Pulver is only doing Sunday Ben C is obviously only doing Saturday. Nothing else has been said and they will post it when they post it. However most have photoshoots/talks both days so presume everyone other than the above will be there Saturday and Sunday.

MGO - I agree with you re the disappointment, I was kind of crushed myself when I realised they wouldn't be coming until I thought 'oh well the chances of getting all the mains was slim anyway' and you are right in that we really are spoiled. I can't believe how many guests we have and can't remember another con I've been to where they really have had 90% of the main cast.

That's my impression as well which is why it depressed me a bit when I read it. The problem is, that posts don't give context or emotion or expression. Especially Twitter which with it's brevity means you really can't explain yourself. I took Amanda's response to the tweet I saw to be that she was simply congratulating the poster on continuing her education. We don't know why they aren't attending, and this really isn't aimed at you MGO as I am replying to you, just a general comment, that I know I've made before but really is worth stressing again: Even though we want to express our dissapointment that this or that guest isn't able to attend, we shouldn't comment on why or why not guests aren't able to attend. Their reasons are their own and to speculate only encourages bad feelings and isn't good if the people in question happen to see it.

Remember as well that if going for the VQ option, you'll have lost your scheduled slot and there's always a very slight risk of not getting through if there are loads of people and then you need to be somewhere else.

Also if you want to go through later and the above is the case you could alway grab a VQ ticket first thing and go through on that.

Well how often an event is put in is related to the demand. If the demand is there then an organiser will try and put an event on. There hasn't been any mention of intention to put on more Sherlocked events other than this or the one in the US but that doesn't mean there aren't any. The problem with Sherlock is that whilst it's going to be easier to get the supporting guest people like Ben and Martin are so busy they are even having trouble coordinating calenders to get them to film the episodes let alone attend a convention at te same time. It could always be possible that they might attend one of the signing events like Collectormania or LFCC - Showmasters certainly know they would be very desired guests.

I asked this in another thread, I will try and find it, and part of the answer was that the autos (all or some) are time specific, so you would need to go through with your batch. Update: For the life of me I can't find it. I'm sure it was one of the mods who said it so hopefully they will be able to clarify. I'll keep looking though and will post it if I can locate it.

I always try and remind people though as this has come up before regarding Ben that just because they aren't filming doesn't mean they are free. He might have interviews booked, promotion commitments, family commitments ect.

In my opinion it's worth it though if you can afford it, remembering the cost of any extra photos and auto's you will want on the day.

Yes, Gold gets the individual shoots - so like I was unsure Una's £20 should be included in the Gold package so you won't need to buy that unless you want another with her. Gold and Plat get, interestingly worded, one shoot of us on set - the exact wording is as follows: 1 x Professional Photo shoot of you on one of the Sherlock sets (Set to be revealed soon)(so really not sure if that is just the 1 picture on 1 set only or 1 picture on all sets, if it's the first can we buy the others if we want and they are available?) However Gold and Plat holders will be able to purchase the guest on set shoots on Thursday but no they aren't included in our packages. You were correct that they are only included at no extra cost in the VIP.

As Una the first extra guest added after the Plat photo shoot allocation was emailed out, presumably she will be included in our tickets and added to the shoot allocation as per the email so we don't need to buy a ticket unless we want extras from Una or ANY of the offered set shoots. I like to think that me upgrading to Platinum today tipped the scale All the upgrades would certainly of helped so on behalf of all the attendees we thank you in advance for your financial contribution towards an even more perfect event, we salute you Other than Benedict we can presume everyone is there for the whole event. We will find out by default on Thursday when her shoot tickets go on sale.

I hope you all have a lovely time. I won't be able to join you but hopefully will see some of you all during the day. I'll be working Thursday and Friday and intend to come over to Excel to register as soon as I finished work. I'll take a look around the exhibits after that but will have to go home to be ready to come back in on Saturday. I'm not staying over so won't be attending the parties but to those of you that are, have a wonderful time and post pictures of your tour and the parties after if you can.
