  1. I don't think that will be an issue here Diabolik, Stan was a whole different kettle of fish - the golds keep going back was wrong though. The biggest draw at Sherlocked is going to be Ben but he's only doing 1 for everyone who qualifies so even if there's a bit of a chat with everyone it's not going to take ages and we can't go back in after we have been through. Mark and Andrew will be busy but not at Stan Lee levels.
  2. Thanks Golden. It doesn't look too bad. Luckily I'm coming in from the Stratford side so that doesn't look like it will be affected.
  3. Ahh, hanks JP. Sorry for you guys and hope it doesn't go ahead.
  4. Can I just check which strike you guys were talking about as I havne't seen anything mentioned. I've just looked at my train times and all looks good for getting there, even sunday re the Marathon. Hopefully as the race doesn't start until 10.30 it won't be an issue using the DLR as we will be travelling early and even if people are making their way to watch they won't be travelling to the Docklands!
  5. Not as far as we are aware. If they aren't in a talk/shoot or VIP activity or break the guests will be signing so you can go through when you have time. The busy guests will be operating on the VQ system but if you have a package ticket you don't need one and can just join the end of the queue. They have reserved the right to opperate the auto's viw package but as far as I'm aware they haven't actually put it in place yet. When we get there they will probably be, for example, VQ tickets 1-30 + packages etc maybe. Until we get there we won't know. Given how busy we are all going to be we wouldn't be able to do the auto's as well if we were called for a specific time. The only queue that will probably be on staggered/ticket number/group order will be Benedict for the Plat and VIP holders, but if you don't have one of those he's not signing for anyone else so that wouldn't be an issue.
  6. Re the time to arrive, it's entierly up to you scully. There are no activities as such on Friday but the hall is open 6pm - 8pm so you can go in then and look at the exhibits and vendors stalls if they are open for selling on Friday. We can't advise how long the registration process will take but it shouldn't be long and really depends on how many people turn up to register at the same time. Just be warned if you register at 2pm and want to go in at 6, you'll have to find something to do for 4 hours or bring a book. If you are staying locally it won't be a big deal as you can just go back to your room. Re your ticket number. Nothing has been officially said as far as I am aware but I think the tickets will be numbered in case they need to subdivide entry further than the Groups, and yes do depend on when you purchased your ticket rather than when you register - the later you purchased/upgraded the higher your ticket number will be. Those who got their tickets in the first few minutes after they went on sale will have the lowest numbers. This is effectively an unnofficial 'benefit' to those who pay early and thus provide the funding for the show to finance itself. Photo shoots are run in Group order but it may be that when we get to them we have to go through in number order, the same is possible with the Talk and Auto queues/entry if they are very busy.
  7. If people say they are holding seats for people who aren't there yet, just say that they cannot hold seats and sit down. If they have put items on the seats ask them politely to move it, if they won't move it yourself and give it back to them. Or call over a crew member. As long as you are polite there won't be any issue from your side. Additionally people who leave a seat in between themselves and others in the row. It's annoying because those who are late or last in the queue then have to shuffle past everyone to reach the spare seat, which when you are carrying lots of stuff, especially when it's large is very hard to do.
  8. Not this big no, I've been to lots of cons but you are right, you usually have about 6 guests and everything is much more structured - talk, then pics, then auto's for example but yes they are much smaller with much less going on. As far as the screens are concerned I'm sure they will have them simply because of the amount of people who will be in the talk, they will probably be necessary.
  9. It's what I'm going to do, I just hope the crew on Marks line are ready for us all!
  10. As far as I am aware but as I'm not a mod or with in the know I'm just basing it on what happens at LFCC and Collectormania. Ah okay that's cool, just wanted to check incase her starting/finishing time was going to change I agree that this is probably what will happen, except if you look at the photoshoot schedule, her initials are not there as being included, so maybe she was removed from the group photo? IDK. I din't notice that, but when we were discussing something similar in MildGrooveOn's cancellation thread one of the posters said that at another show when one of the guests from a group shot had to cancel they were refunded for that guests part of the group fee. If Una wasn't able to do it anymore for some reason I'm sure we would have been refunded. Hopefully it's just a typo. I would also worry that my planning would be wrong All the official advice is to go to the shortest first but my inclination is to do Mark's first as Lars and Louise have shoots in the afternoon that we can try and go to if we do have to leave for Ben's talk. It's been stated by the mods that this wouldn't happen. To record the shoot and release it in anyway would involve a massive amount of negotiation and agreements with the guests and generally doesn't happen. In a talk even if everyone gets in on time people still sometimes have to leave for various reasons. As long as it's not people in the seats around you all leaving/joining constantly it's not a problem. I've been to a lot of talks over the years.
  11. I have replied to you in the other thread you posted this in.
  12. Yes you will be in the 2.30 shoot. Re registration it depends on what ticket you have. Registration should be open all the time I'd think but if you have day or weekend tickets rather than silver and above I'm not sure you need to register as it were as opposed to just getting your tickets scanned when you go in the main door.
  13. Thanks Murph, at least we can be on the look out for the booth whilst we are flying about.
  14. This sounds like it should be obvious they will be there as it's an official event but apparently the BBC will have a stand there as well. http://cumberbatchweb.tumblr.com/post/116809408384/sherlocked-takes-place-next-weekend-from-friday
  15. At places like LFCC you get them in the auto line but don't know if it will be different here. Hopefully the people who went to the Star Trek event may be able to help as Sherlocked set up is more similar to that. Also some of the vendors will possibly be selling pics as well.
  16. I know and do agree with you. I don't want to be rushing to and fro and having to leave things or miss them either, you're not being awkward. Regarding the autograph's I've been the same as I want it all to be as perfect as possible and really have been agonising over what I want Ben to sign, as silly as that is really. I've got a few of the A3 official pictures but whilst I prefer to get posters cast signed, these are too small for everyone as I don't want it to look overcrowded with sigs. I've bought 5 or six different posters and pictures and just can't decided as none of them are quite right. I'm hoping I see something on the Friday if the stalls are open that I'll just go 'wow' at and will be big enough for the whole cast. I do have a nice picture Ben could sign without getting any of the others on but I'd prefer them to all be on the same item. http://showmastersonline.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=85519 If you have a look at post 18, Tolkienerd posted links to their stash of BBC promo pictures that you could get printed out as 8x10's if you want. I don't know how much they would cost but again, it would be cheaper that buying the show ones.
  17. Nothing has changed on the schedule yet Destructo but I don't think it's a problem, I think they have given her an extra long shoot to account for the group shot. My guess is they will just hold her solo shoot whilst she is doing the group shot. She's not going to be gone long.
  18. Have you looked at the pictures on, for example, the BBC shop? They are £16 as they are framed but would be cheaper than buying all the 8x10's and you'd have all the sigs in one place? There are cheaper official pictures on the site as well. You would have to carry them but they are only A3 so not massive or heavy. Alternatively some people so go for the old style autograph books which are light and small and would fit in a pocket.
  19. I've no idea but at a guess doubt it will be bigger than A3 - which is 30 cam x 42 cm. That is a complete guess though.
  20. Hi Zonky, the 8x10's at the guest desks are £3 each and will be extra to the autograph price.
  21. This was on the website FAQ from the beginning and is standard when conventions are official. But as PrehistoricCat says you don't have to use them. You can bring your own images and items.
  22. Hi Conchs, the Silver package doesn't say anything about priority access unfortunately, but I'd imagine Silver will go in after Gold.

    Cosplay?

Lol, you are going to get some looks from customs if you are flying!
  24. It's been updated a couple of times so I really don't know if there are more to come. I'd just keep checking the schedule occasionally, especially nearer the weekend to make sure nothing has changed. Yes. Once your group or batch has been called you can join the queue any time after this, you don’t have to be there exactly on time. Even if you are called in the first session there is no issue with you going to the second session Too Tall. I'm going to apologise now for all those annoying people (who I've already seen on FB) who are already giving you grief & are likely to give you more on the weekend...You guys have done a great job & well done, I'm going to enjoy myself!! Not sure if that's aimed at me seeing as you've quoted my question but whilst there is no excuse for the way some posters are behaving on social media there's nothing wrong with asking for clarification even if lots of people are asking the same thing. Unfortunately there has been a lot of info and things you were sure of before you can start second guessing and people want to be sure they understand.
