  1. Santa? Mind you I get his autograph every year at Xmas so he's actually pretty common.
  2. It would be nice to be optimistic but it doesn't hurt to be practical.
  3. Eddie The Eagle. That was a lovely film. I have a vague memory if that olympics but obviously didn't appreciate what he had done at the time. I know the film is essentially a fictionalised version of what really happened but it's a good reminder of how courageous he was to stick with it in the face of everything and to fulfil his dream. He knew he wasn't going to win, but that didn't matter. Taron did very well in the role and really embodied Eddie's mannerisms.
  4. Yeah, I said to Dalek that they might has well have given him a moustache to twirl he was so one dimensional.
  5. Doctor Who Xmas special. I'll not say much but it was very meh.
  6. There should be a few more to see this year
  7. Hopefully people will have a lot more to add this year
  8. The Death Of Stalin. Boring, unfunny. I have nothing else to add
  9. The Colour Of Magic/Hogfather/Going Postal I love the Pratchett books so finally getting the chance to see the Sky adaptions was great. I thought they were well written and really embodied the spirit of the Discworld. Death To 2020 - it was only just over an hour long and it seemed like it whizzed by which was good as it wasn't boring. It wasn't uproariously funny or anything but it was amusing and well worth a watch.
  10. Yeah, unfortunately no one can really advise on what the chances of it going ahead are, as we simply don't know what the situation will be like in 6 months. I think you can reasonably say anything booked before summer probably won't happen, but again, none of us really know. Personally I think that until a significant number of the population have been vaccinated you can assume large events won't happen, and as it's going to take a while for them to get to the 16 - 59 and not vulnerable members of the populace, it's going to be a while still. The good thing is though that if you are saving you are prepared either way. If you do want to book, make sure you look at the covid terms of every company you buy with as many of them do have policies now - however this may be vouchers to use later in most cases and you need to know their cancellation/postponement policies to see what qualifies - for example, will an airline allow you to rebook later if the flight you are booked on still fly's but the event you are going to isn't? Also if you have money tied up in lots of vouchers, there's no guarantee the companies will still exist when it all gets back to normal. I think what Green said is sensible, wait and keep an eye on things.
  11. I am not more knowledgeable but agree. If they had them, I guess they would be there.
  12. Or this is the chapter in the dystopian future where the other forum members have been picked off already in a totally non plagiaristic battle royale and only the stronger ones have remained.
  13. I think if they ever managed to get Nathan back again the event would be mental (Which is no different from normal really)
  14. Last of the surviving Pythons obtained, Terry Gilliam
  15. With the amount of stuff in the post/courier network at the moment, I'd say you are probably lucky it was only a week later
  16. I think your pants are on fire.
  17. 6 Underground. A Michael Bay film, it's boring and unengaging. The first 15 minutes of the film is basically a giant advert as brand names are splashed across the screen, the rest of the film, whilst being pretty in places as they use a variety of lovely locations, has nothing much positive going for it. The characters are boring, Ryan Reynolds is basically playing a less sweary uncostumed Deadpool, and I can't bring myself to care if any of them succeed or die. I watched an hour before I gave myself permission to stop, but at least I gave it a good go.
  18. Raised By Wolves. It's an interesting series and it's by Ridley Scott. There's a lot going on with back stories and mysteries being revealed as the series progress - it's one of those where you need answers to lots of things and wait ages for it, and finally get one thing answered just to have loads of new questions open up. By the end of series 1, it definitely had Alien feels to it which isn't a surprise really given that it's about androids and human's trying to colonise a semi hostile new planet. Ultimately it's an interesting series, and I definitely wanted to watch each episode to find out what is going on, but I can also see it being it's downfall. It's been renewed already for a second series which is good, but I can see people tailing off watching it as the plot and backstory get more complex and it being cancelled. I'll be happy to be wrong and for it to be a huge success, but I really see it as ending up having a small audience that gets smaller.
