  1. I think I'm missing something--

How do we know what "Batch" we are? I'm in Gold Group D, but not sure what I should be looking at for batch #. :)

Just look for D MGO, 'batch' is for the additional shoot ticket holders, the ones sold outside of your package entitlement.

  2. So do I understand this right- I've got batch 1 photo shoots with Ben and Andrew which overlap on Saturday afternoon. So I go to Andrews first as it finishes before Bens then travel the short distance to Bens area for a shoot with him?

Yes, although I'd say you don't have to worry too much about those 2 shoots as they are long ones.

  3. Are the talks essentially the same (I realize there will be slight differences cos there isn't a script) as some are repeated such as Steven Moffatt & Mark Gatiss talk (1 sat & 1 Sun), The Danny Hargreaves talk, Maplocked etc.

This will make it a lot easier if they are pretty much the same as I can scrap some doubles off the list.

That's hard to say as the guest talks really depend on what questions are asked.

  4. Oh man this is so confusing (and I've been a SM/ME regular for years).

I'm in Platinum batch A and Mark Gatiss and Lars Mikkelsen both have shoots clashing with the Benedict talk. What would be best to do here?

Also can you tell us more about what "The Final Problem" talk is about?

The 2 photoshoots start at 12.15 and Ben's talk is at 12.45 so either be at the shoots for 12.15 and go for the talk when you are done or go to the talk and do the shoots on Sunday. Although they are also running near the start of a talk on Sunday.

  5. Put this on twitter, but I bet I'll get a faster response here. First, no Louise Brealey photo ops for groups A and C are listed.

Also, there are A LOT of clashes for group A. I am not too happy about having to skip things.

Question, how long are the talks supposed to last? That will help me decide what to do.

    Thanks!

Re the Louise one, it must be the Sat 9.30 one and they have just put the incorrect groups on it.

When will the autographs sessions be?

Presumably it will be whenever the guest isn't in a talk or shoot they will be doing auto's. However what will be happening re Ben's signings?

  6. It seems that the Platinum and Gold pass holders have a lot of clashes as the main talks are in the morning while most of the photoshoots. However, the possibility to go to other photoshoots sessions is great, I think I'll go to several photoshoots in the afternoo on Sunday.

I don't think it looks too bad though, most of the shoots will be over relatively quickly as we will be first in so there should be time to get to the talks before they start? It's not going to be possible to put all the talks and shoots on so there are no clashes as there are too many guests.

Lol. I thought A didn't look too bad, which clashes can you see?

I didn't notice the Louise shoot missing. I was planning on going through my lists tonight and ticking everything off.

  8. It doesn't look too bad for me though I need to put my schedule in an easier to read format.

Just to re-re-re-clarify, as I'll be in photoshoot batch A if I choose not to go through my photoshoot session I can go to a later one? I.e on Sunday I'd like to do the first 2 talks but that's when my Lara shoot is. I can go to the talks and then go to her 1.30 shoot instead?

    Thanks.

  9. It might be best to use the customer service email and ask the rail company for clarification. Alternatively anyone here used the Express before? QS?

Either could be replaced with 'both' i guess.

  10. Usually UK train tickets say from Station A to Station B or vice versa. If you are going from A to B but show only a ticket from B to A you would have the incorrect ticket. Return tickets come in 2 sepatate pieces. They way I interpret "either direction between Gatwick and London" means your ticket covers you from going to either Gatwick to London or London to Gatwick both ways without needing to be defined by which direction you are actually going - you are covered either way. Does it also say it's a single and the date?

    Hope that made sense.

Or email customerservices@gatwickexpress.com for verification if unsure.

  11. Hi Micawber, there's nothing going on on Friday guest wise as such. Friday is for registering from 2pm, and the hall will be open from 6pm to 8pm so you can go in and look at the exhibits and stalls. We don't know if the vendors will be open and selling on Friday though.

Other than that there won't be any talks, screenings, photo shoots or auto's going on on Friday.

    From the website:

    Opening Times

Friday: Registration from 2pm. Event open 6pm - 8pm. Your chance to visit some of the event attractions at a more leisurely pace

The scheduling email will probably come out and prove me wrong now!

  12. That's tough to answer. The queues should go in fairly quickly as you all have your tickets so they just need to be scanned on the door. Most of the package holders will register Friday I guess and Gold and above don't need VQ's so that cuts down on the number of people who will be trying to get them. As you say there probably won't be the LFCC kind of numbers attending.

I'd guess it depends on who your main wants are and if you are there for both days or just 1. If you want everyone and will only be there for 1 day I'd prefer to go early to make sure I didn't miss out. I'd guess about 7.30/8am? If you are there both days you have more chance. Personally I'd probably get there at the times suggested (but i'd be neareas personally I prefer to just get there rather than be stressing about 'what if the train is delayed' ect.

    Edited for: the website says

Saturday: 9am to 6pm (Registration open from 8am)

Sunday: 9am to 6pm (Registration open from 8am)

I don't know if the registration bit is just for the silver and above tickets, not sure if the day/weekend holders need to register.
