When I was there last summer there was a big stall of glossy photos which just looked like high-res photos taken off the net and printed. They were nice though. My question is - are dealers with unofficial merch allowed to have a stall there? I'd love to have a stall at collectormania but I'm not sure if unofficial merch is allowed. It would be awesome to have a couple of comic signings - especially when there are comic stalls there! And who better to sign here than Glasgow's own Mark Millar (as you say) and Grant Morrison!! They're 2 of the biggest names in comics and would attract a TONNE of comic fans to the convention besides the usual sci-fi/film fans. To be honest, the only people I'd like to see are those who would never come lol... Get in touch with A1 comics - I'm sure they'd be cool with giving out fliers in their shop. The guys in Forbidden Planet are cool but I don't know if they'd be 'allowed' to have the fliers in their shop(?) I'm in Glasgow, and have no problem getting to town or braehead so if you need anything done give me a shout.

Does not liking margaret thatcher and/or john major mean you automatically must like tony blair and/or gordon brown? As far as the suggestion goes - I really don't think the event should have political guests.

I've never been to any kind of convention before but Im interested in meeting some comic writers/artists. Is there likely to be any at Collectormania or is it mostly just a film/tv kind of thing? Thanks.

I'm not going to moan but I do hope more guests are announced, otherwise like someone else said, it is only going to attract a niche part of the population rather than the general public. As one of my friends said to me: "oh great, a pile of geeks fawing over darth vader" So far if you're not into Star Wars or Doctor Who (I'm not) then the guest list is really really bad. It might as well just be a Star Wars and Dr Who convention But I'm assuming many more guests will be announced! You make those!?! Aw man, they are awesome!!
