  1. Keep Looking on here and on facebook cause sometimes they get the code before it goes on the main site
  2. At the last con the photos were printed at the time they were taken so you got them straight away. I think thats what they are thinking of doing for all cons so you might be alright!
  3. nice to see more con noobs turning up. Dont worry we really are a freindly bunch and we dont bite!! Just start talking to poeple and you will make lots of friends. Also if you have any questions ask the stewards. That's what there there for. As for me, my name is Sally and I hope that I will get to say hi at the con!
  4. There is a high chance that I have lost my passport and its my only form of photo ID. What can I do if this is the case?
  5. It depends on how its done. For some of the cons people have been let in by ticket number for each of the guest talks for some of the cons it has been the way you describe it. I have never had any probems though.
  6. I booked today over the phone and i got a booking for a single. I know there are twins and singles left. But a freind of mine had to get a queen size room cause all the doubles had gone. So you may have to adjust the type of room that you want but they are there. Having just read the above they must have got some more released.
  7. I am so stoked by this. I have my mad scientist outfit planned out, (even down to a bolttle of an unkown substance that I will be brining) And the pub quiz was such a hoot last time I only hope that more people will be able to stay on sunday! its great fun!
  8. It is the first Chevron planned to have this many guests. Not the first ME event though. The Hub events quite often had more than 8 guests. Off the top of my head I think 12 was the most. At those events the autographs were extended to include any beyond the six stated as per the website. I will seek clarification for this event. Sorry. I meant to say the first Chevron con to do this. Didn't mean to infer it was the first con that you have ever done with this amount of guests.
  9. Got mine yesterday now just need to get the holiday. Mind you this was the way that it happened for 7.6 and I got it. So crossing fingers and all.
  10. Got my ticket last night hope everything goes through okay.
  11. I spoke to someone at the con and they said that you would still get all the autographs and such for your tickets. This is the first con where they are planning to have so many guests so I don't think that have made this clear yet.
  12. I'm going for silver but I want a low number cause my mates already have them.
  13. Hi, this is Sally Lloyd here. I am going to Chevron 8.0 and am looking for someone to share a room at the con hotel. Would anyone be interested. If you would be interested can you let me know here or email me at flubber2kool@gmail.com
  14. Thank you for yet another amazing con. The queing well and truly took it out on my knees but it was all worth it. Hearing Teryl say "I didn't expect you to be that massive." to the very tall gentleman she found herself standing next to and the laughter that ensued were one of many highlights. As per usual all the staff for the con were wonderful and really helpful and I had a wonderful time. Same to be said of the hotel staff. Even the attended security team (the men in suits) were ver y discreet and from what I saw of then were very polite too. If I have one gripe its was that the camera in the hall got in the way a bit and it was annoying. But that having been said, it still didn't stop me hearing some great anacdotes and stories from the guests. Also, thanks for allowing Sea Shepperd to be at our con. Captain Watson's story about the whales made me cry. Just sorry I cant be at the next one.
  15. It's a real shame that had to be done, especially as Colin Cunningham decided to sign the bit on my con booklet as well as my autograph! LOL But I can see why they felt that it had to be done. It's a real shame that's the reason why though. Why is it that a few really thoughtless people do things that threaten to ruin it for others. I only take what I pay for and wouldn't dream of doing anything else.
  16. I wish to second that. It was a fantastic con and I for one certainly enjoyed. Well worth the money et all.
  17. Highs - great guests, (even if Gary was a little quiet in photo shoots and signings) Meeting RDA who is the most awesome man in the universe! and through him finding out about Sea Shepperd. lovely and very helpful hotel staff, great bed even if I did manage to launch myself off the side of it! All the convention staff were wonderful. Meeting old friends and making new ones. Getting lots of hugs. Eventually getting the continiuity pic of Gary Jones that was sold at the auction. The lovely pic of David Nykl as Zelanka that I also got in the auction. (It's one of my favorite pics) Watching T.K Lee strutting his stuff to YMCA. Having a fantastic time all round. Lows - Having it end far too soon Not getting to say goodbye to everyone. Knowing that I wont be at the next one. ( I am going to Canada.) An 8 hr 20 minute trip to Keyworth from Birmingham! I didnt find the prices in the hotel that expensive compared to what I pay at home. The prices for the lounge bar food was comparabel to what I normally pay so that wasn't too bad. Was expecting to pay alot more.
  18. My friend and I are staying till Sunday night and no matter what happens we will be in our 60's gear. Was wondering who else will be staying? Just realised that the Sunday theme is my year as I was born in the summer of 69.
  19. I have a denim jacket that I have been getting any con guests that have been in SGA to sign. So I am going to get RDA to sign it. I guess it will have to go on the back under Joe flanigans as I dont think there is anywhere that would take his name!
  20. The above idea totall smokes. I just get the feeling that SyFy were never totally committed to the series and if you look at the fact that they are planing on having yet another BSG movie, I really don't know what the aganda is with them. It's just a shame that there is no more room for SGU. I enjoyed it and was glad that it was different and having met David Blue at the Chevron he was at, (7.4 I think), I think there was a lot of milage to be had in the series. I am also sad that the way that it was announced. Kind of says it all really. Heres to the space ship Destiny. The journey was great while it lasted.
  21. I think that these conventions should be a celebration of the phenomenon that is, was and forever shall be Stargate. To that end I think that there should be a mix from all the series rather than concentrating on one in particular.
  22. Ok I should have explained myself better. We are booked on one booking as 20 and 21 so both numbers will be on the reg letter. This has happened before and we have always been able to reg for each other. Was just wondering if I could do it with a copy of either the reg letter or the confirmation letter. I do have the original reciept that I got at Chevron 7.5.
  23. Charlotte and I are tickets sliver 20 and 21. I have a feeling that the conformation letter will go to her when the time comes. As I am likely to get here before she does and we booked together if I bring a copy of the letter can I reg for us both. (I was the one that handed the money over but her form must have been the top one when stapled to the reciept)
  24. I had a look on the hotel site and they seem to still be advertising single occupancy rooms. I'm not sure that you would get away with paying the convention rate as I get the feeling that you have to state that when you book.
  25. yes they do ruth. Go back and check and just say that its for the Chevron convention and say three nights quoting the convention code. I managed to get three nights at the convention rate so go back and ask.
