I only went on Saturday but really enjoyed it! Just want to say a massive thanks to Showmasters for bringing along Sea Shepherd as they're an organisation very close to my heart :) And the amazing guys on the stall for sorting out an online order I'd bought the night before! I was so surprised to see them there but to find out that Showmasters support them brought a huge smile to my face. Already looking forward to the next one! Really happy to see Showmasters back in Manchester as I was gutted when Collectormania GMex ended!

Not even kidding, this is actually pushing me to tears that I can't go to this

Signposts to the buses from the train station were ridiculous, telling you to go left then through an underpass to get to the bus stop when in fact it was right and over?! Whose idea was that? There were no more signs after the one telling you to go through the underpass and we ended up having to walk into the centre of town just to find a bus to get us to the stadium in the first place, as we'd got lost after the signs had disappeared. This lead to us only spending about three or four hours in the actual event itself which was a real downer. Very disappointed. The staff at the train station were misinformed as well, as they told me I'd have to get the number 1 bus and pay a fee because the free bus wasn't running on Friday (it was). Thankfully I had a quick reply from the Showmasters twitter who told me it was running. Guests were very lovely on Friday. It made my friend's day as she was dressed as Daenerys from Game of Thrones and when we met Jason Momoa he first called her Khaleesi, then whispered 'Moon of my life' in Dothraki to her and signed it on her autograph as well. He made a real fuss of her which was perfect as it was her birthday present :) We also had Thresh and Phil LaMarr shout Khaleesi and make a fuss of her as well!

Aaaaaand he was my back-up guest in case Thomas Dekker dropped out. Getting more and more disappointed as this goes on. I know it's not your fault Showmasters and there's nothing you can do about it. Just a shame this keeps happening :\

I'm absolutely gutted about this. Meeting him was pretty much the only reason I was going to this event so I've got nothing to look forward to now :\ It's good of him to reschedule to LFCC but I can't go to that unfortunately. It was a toss up between the two of them, one because of money and two because work wouldn't give me time off for both. I've been dreading this happening for weeks and now it's just come true

Hi, my friend is cosplaying to CM, but as we're getting the train down and home on the same day, she was wondering if there would be any place to store her bags while at the event? Otherwise she's going to have to carry around a lot of bags with her so she just wanted to know in advance :) Thanks!

Ahhh, glad to see Hayden is coming back :) Really do hope she shows this time though. Last time I paid for an event she had to pull out which was a shame, so I'm really looking forward to meeting her! Great work Showmasters, thanks a lot!

I'm planning on Kaylee from Firefly after seeing Jewel Staite is attending. A nice and easy one this time around I think :)

hahahahahahahahahahahaha *breathe* ahahahahahahahahahahahaha oh you weren't joking? ^This. Collectormania has a wonderful atmosphere and in my opinion, I feel it's superior to the 'anime convention'. Guests = more awesome. One Collectormania Gmex show can easily outdo what the other place gets for one of their events. There's no contest there. No free huggers = awesome. They're an awful addition to any event so I happily attend Collectormania as I've never seen one there! Sure, there's less cosplayers (from what I've seen, that's a high priority for you) but that means it's a lot easier to make friends with them seeing as it's a less concentrated group. Tbh I'd happily wait another year for this show to come back rather than letting said anime convention buy the event off Showmasters!

If Showmasters are losing money with a signing event on £10(?) entry fees, I really doubt that they're going to risk holding a convention here. I'm thinking that they would end up with an even bigger loss holding a convention?

Lmao, the pizza eating competition brought a smile to my face XD I really like the sound of the auction though!
