  1. Hubba Hubba! Zing Zing! YES PLEASE!
  2. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Wish Id seen this post earlier. Parking in ANY of the pay and display spaces nearby is FREE on Sunday! Sorry
  3. I was there for the prize draw at 4. Did I misunderstand or did the first person out the hat have the answer wrong but was still given the prize? Thats what the predator guy said when he looked at the piece of paper he drew out. Apologies if I got it wrong but a few people wondered that!
  4. Considering that I saw someone with a ticket in the region of 790 and he had only got to about 400 at 5.30pm I think it's inevitable that some people will have been disappointed. If they learn anything from today its to restrict people to 2 or 3 autos max! As I said in another thread - most people were getting 4 or 5 things done which takes up a lot of time. Think about it - he had done 324 people at 430 (as I was around that number) but an average of 4 per person is a lot of autos! Surprised it wasnt more limited today tbh.Guess its nice for those who get it, but not so much for the people later on. Its not like I got there late! I got my queue ticket at around 09:10! Good luck tomorrow.
  5. Parkin - £16 at least, Auto's 45 Stuff - 15 Lunch 5 total: £80 ish. Cant afford much more. Oh forgot - Transformers comic of course - £5! :)
  6. 90% of people there got 4 or 5 items signed hence the time it took. Oh - and he was sighning his full name as well which is cool - but didnt help with speed :)
  7. Chris looked really tired when I saw him at 4. Getting slowly through the queue. Great to finally meat him though.
  8. Shame I just saw this! Am driving up from Southampton myself too! :) May see you there...
  9. I will be around on my lonesome on Sat as no one I know can afford it either (neither can I but hey - life's all about priorities! ). Been to eclipse so people may recognise me. lol.
  10. I see you are selling them all already on ebay! lol. Will there be any left? Only kidding - Im sure there will be.

    Posting Tickets

Hmmm - just read that tickets are no longer being posted! I bought one tonight. Really hope the queue isnt as long as last year. Have got early birt ticket but if I dont get in before the non early bird time I wont be too happy Will there be 3 queues? 1 for people with tickets that arrived, 1 for those with no tickets at all and one for those collecting tickets?
  14. The guys from Apocalyspse are a bit fat !!!! Especially the tall one with the crayon like tattoos. Nice comic cover. PML!!! I'll have you know that the tall one with the crayon tattoo's is slimming!!!! And you can't talk with your little Mickey Mouse scribbles all over you skinny git!!! I can't believe you joined this forum just to cuss me out when I thought you loved me especially when I used to travel a four hour round trip every month just to see you... it had nothing to do with the comics... honest. luv ya luv ya more man Ah man! I bet there will be none left on Sunday. Unless they do a good thing and only sell half Sat half Sunday to allow people coming sunday a chance to get one... Or maybe I should just come on Sat. Didnt want to as can get free parking Sunday!
  15. Really? OH NO! Thats what we opted for. Mostly the fact they ate from the 6th floor though - quiter. Wouldnt like to be just above the party!! lol. Oh - and you get bath robes and mags apparently! Extra £5 per person per night not too bad for that I hope... a bit worried now!
  16. Yup - a distant hotel was no good - booked in to Park in also for next time! As for food - I ate at the weatherspoons and Subway. Weatherspoons food was great and cheap too! Sunday roast was yummy! :) - Oh - and no rude chefs!
  17. Thats cheap! Our room cost £39 per night - it was nice though BUT we have booked at the park inn for the next one for the following reasons: 1) It cost us about £22 in taxis to go to the con and back (both of us drink at the parties) 2) Brekkie is included 3) You can go to your room for a rest easily when there is nothing happening (e.g.group photos which you dont attend) 4) Can store snacks and drinks in the room saving money on that. 5) Can store autographs once you get them and keep them safe. 6) Get exclusive room gift (not guaranteed) which I liked the look of! Worked out the extra £40 we are paying to stay at park inn is worth it! Also we then dont have to both leave the party at same time if either of us is tired! :) Its £70 per night for the business room or £60 for the standard.
  18. I dont mind the occassional beep but this was maddenning! A beep every 2 or 3 seconds! And it was a camera - I saw the person doing it Appreciate it cant be helped at times, but it did grate a bit... Thanks for the apologies! I doubt it was anyone on these forums though as everyone here has some mannors! During the flash countdown is fine! Dont expect it to be quiet then!!! lol
  19. *blush* Was that just me then??! Seriously, green string was not my bag so it went into my pocket. Once I'd sat down a couple of times it was scrumpled (is that a word? It is now!) even before I spilled beer on it (ok, I admit that bit is my fault ) Nope - mine had creases in after about 1 hour. I did put it in my pocket when off to lunch and stuff though. Would have been nice to have laminated cards like at Celebration Europe - but that costs I guess which would be passed onto us somehow. The piece of string was lame though... again probably just a first con thing. I hope!
  20. Have you opened all the card packets yet? Which special card did you get??? (Matt Parkman costume card??) Got a pretty cool hiro sketch card. But it wasnt that great - was hoping for auto card! It was in the first pack I opened as well which meant the rest of the box was a bit boring to open...
  21. I had the unfortunate problem if sitting behind someone who couldnt stop pressing buttons on their camera for the duration of various talks (although they werent in front in all talks). Why is this a problem you ask? Because they had beeping turned on on their camera. So it got REALLY annoying. Especially as it seemed they had to browse their entire memory card over and over - beeping at each picture! Do they not realise how annoying it is - to the point where it destracts you and you miss some of the talk being annoyed by this? There was plenty of time for photos at the start - I dont mind people taking photos during the talk either. Just PLEASE PLEASE turn off the beeping on your cameras. It can be done on most cameras and is just more respectful to fellow convention goers. Sorry if this sounds bad - but it drove me up the wall! I wasnt close enough to say anything or I would have. People around them must have thought the same... Sorry - rant over.
  22. I only bought a shirt - it was £7.50 on the last day which was great :) Oh - forgot. Bought heroes cards box as well. Was a bit disappointed overall with the dealers room. Not a lot there. But thats not a bad thing! Saved me money!!!! lol.
  23. I did - managed to with all but David - it was a bit rushed for him
  24. I have to say I expected the prices to go up. £10 is the maximum Id expected and thats what they incrteased them by. Its natural. This was a first event and they had to make it a little cheaper to get the word out. I personally wouldnt pay £250 for gold passes but there are fans that love that option so fair enough. I had a great weekend and think it was worth every penny. Just hope they dont up the price of autographs next time - that would be stupid! As for free autographs - the wording was "one free autograph per guest up to a maximum of 6 guests". Whats wrong with that?
  25. That's how showmasters always are with photos, you pay per person in the photo cos your paying per photo. So myself and my sister when we get photoshoot tickets at other showmasters events we pay double what it normally is so we can both be in the photo :), I do agree it makes it a bit expensive, but we're used to it now. And I would just like to say about something emmangel said about the bag drop off point, there were a couple of signs, but only really visable I suppose if you walked down by where uniquities were, me and my sis walked around a little before doing anything and found it quite easily. I know - so they should really change the wording to "per person" or "per photo" - not "per session". If you have a pro photo shoot you do not pay double because there are 2 of you. You pay for the session. It doesnt cost them double to take a photo if there are 2 of you. Just my penny's worth. I know opinion differs but thought it was a bit expensive as we only wanted 1 photo!
