Why would you book 20 rooms in batches then cancel? Some strange people out there! Still wish you could just pay like a 10% deposit (which on 20 rooms is a lot to lose!) and guarantee the hotel. Im likely to forget before it sells out! Heh. Never mind... Im sure we will all be fine!

Im gutted - really wanted to email him but didnt get the guts to ask him for his email address - Had a good chat with him at one point too...

The £120 was for 3 nights this time round... so they have upped it. Im just not sure I want to book then get told the dates have moved again. Is it transferrable?

I was wondering if any of the guests turned on to watch last night as they would still have been in MK and they cant get the show in the states! :)

To top it off you cant book that weekend online anymore - you could before the weekend!

I can understand them wanting to stop people booking and cancelling as they had quite a few last minute cancellations but... cant they just take a deposit? Who can afford the amount in full after spending a lot of money for the weekend already??

Me booked... but miffed with hotel as need to pay in advance and cant afford that now! What a silly thing to do...

Same prices as Exlipse 1 - of course the Silver is now available. Approx prices from memory are: Standard - £78 (I got this as cant afford more really). Silver - £123 ish Gold - £198 ish. HTH.

I ended up going to 2 of the encounters. They were really good and only paid £5 for Alans! :) Great to have a nice 'intimate' chat with him :)

Back home safe and sound... and having withdrawl symptoms already. Just watchin George Takai on Im A celeb... wierd! Great weekend - a lot more relaxed than Eclipse 1. Agree that less people made it better. All the guests were excellent. Love Alan and Stephens stories. Managed to get to see Alan at the guest encounter (as well as Jason) and enjoyed those greatly! Finally... being on stage was SCARY!!! Completely went blank and felt like a right pleb! - had one heck of a stomach cramp afterwards. Never done anything like it but thought Id challange myself. Must have been fate (or unlucky 13) as I only got in because someone didnt show up. After that Stephen kept saying hi and chatting to me when he saw me which was great! :) Have signed up for 3 - Mostly as the reduced the prices back to Eclipse 1 prices! So effectively a discount. Nice one! Auction was a bit worse this year - as was the dealers room! But meant I spent less cash than expected I guess. All in all great stuff.

This is a good point, especially as it might make people who aren't sure they can justify getting a ticket yet book more quickly - I know I'd certainly be trying to work out a way! Then again, these shows are expensive to run...so it might not be viable to give a discount. Discount = potentially more guaranteed sales = better than only selling half the tickets! :)

I think that the raffle idea seems the best and fairest idea. Some people will buy lots and some people will buy 1. Everyone will have a chance to get in then. Free would be asking a bit too much - though at first I thought it would be good to have it free but as they have to pay the guests somehow... dont want SM goinbg bust! If its not a raffle I wont go as cant afford much. More interest will be gained (and perhaps more raised!) from a fair raffle.

Ive been away hence havent monitored this thread. Guess there was never a chance of the BBC being there - though it would have been great promotion! :) Still believe that Friday will be a good laugh though which is what its all about.

I am slightly disappointed but am really looking forward to this convention still and think lack of people will make it far better. I understand the reasons behind it and that good intentions were there. But these things cant be helped. Just one thing - if you want to get more people to sign up for Eclipse 3 this weekend I would suggest you offer discounted tickets for us loyal people who went to 1 and will be going to 2! Keep your regulars happy and you will guearantee a minimum of 300 at the next convention! Probably more! :) Just a thought.

Bargain if you can keep the robes. I would have thought that running water would be included in the price lol. Oh yeah by the way I got an order confirmation from the hotel last week telling me they will be charging me �60 per night, thats �180 for the 3 nights, I'm not going to be doing much drinking at the partes by the looks of things. I called up and am being charged £70 per night - guess that means I upgraded to the better rooms. Whats better about them then?

Any idea how to let SM know about this idea? Or will they have read this anyway?

Yeah - I only just realised yesterday when looking to do something! Maybe SM should phone BBC ASAP! Im sure they could fit a Heroes convention in... :)

Got my tickets!! ST7 and ST8 - Woo Hoo! Compared to my number last year its much better - then again there werent silver tickets last year :|

...could be an idea to raise some money somehow maybe - even contact the BBC and have some cameras there. Great promotion for massiveevents and we end up on tele! Especially as BBC is heavily involved with Heroes... Just an idea. Guess its easier said than done! Will go back to my box now...

£25 is the most UNLESS its someone ultra rare - like Mark Hamil who I paid more for at Celebration Europe. But that is a rarity and I would REALLY need to justify it. Would pay up to 40 for Masi Oka. Heheh Every star has a limit depending on how much of a fan you are/ your spending limits...

Just watched it... wow, how good was that! Looks to be a good build up for the rest of the series. Oh, and spoiler time for first episode... ...mohinder has a power! Eclipse 1 makes so much more sense now!! Oh - and Bruce Boxleitner - that rocks!! Bring him to Eclipse 2!!! :)
