  1. Anyone else think this is just a rouse to see what we all classify as an amazing guest??
  2. Harrison Ford! LMAO. That would be amazing... and virtually impossible. But meets all the clues... lol.
  3. Were there any surprise guests at all? Or only what was on the site?
  4. I would go! Suggested one a while back. A farscape weekend con would be great :)
  5. There were some silly bids on some of the non signed photos. Think one went for 30 quid! Was rather surprised. Would love to sell my collection one day like that. Make a mint! The badge went for a lot more than expected. Harry Potter passes went for 60 odd...
  6. I enjoyed meeting Scott and he was great! Was a little rushed however as I was getting 2 things signed. The rush/excitement meant he signed the wrong side of my DVD box set - not the worst thing in the world but a little disappointed I didnt notice due to the excitment/rush. Esp as it was 25 quid...
  7. Thanks for the reply :) Just a bit worried about getting a VQ ticket for Scott! lol. Im sure all will be fine and plan to get there around 08:00... with a DS to keep me entertained! lol.
  8. Last year people who bought early bird tickets on the day got in quicker than those who bought in advance as there was less of a queue! Hope thats not the case this year... but guess its hard to not be the case if someone is at the buy now queue thats shorter than the advance queue. Unless the buy now queue is made to join the end of the advance queue once they buy the tickets...
  9. Would love to know what the items were and how much they sold for. Did I miss any bargains?
  10. Yeah sure ! :) :) :) Do you know at what time you'll be arriving ? I haven't seen you either on msn... I added you but I never see you online ! Can you remind me of your adress so I can be sure I accepted you ? xxx (I'm connected right now) Sure ! Who do you plan to meet on Sunday ? Scott, Casey and all the free people... Maybe Sendhil - budget permitting :)
  11. I too will be going - Sunday - on my own! So maybe see you there...
  12. Is showmasters now tenthplanetevents as well then? I wondered that when I saw an ad for the red dwarf con being organised by TPE and wasnt sure what was going on...
  13. Christopher Lloyd has already done a rare appearance for them/anyone - I doubt he will be back - but can hope!
  14. LOL - I see there is an ad for the red dwarf con in this months sci-fi now on the pages I mentioned! Cool! :)
  15. May need fixing as I get : 403 Forbidden Request forbidden by administrative rules.
  16. Well... my bank manager would like a word. I wasnt planning to go at all until last week when Ben was announced and now this! I will virtually complete my autograph collection though. Got the Sernity tin DVD signed by almost the entire cast. And the comics! :) Then there is LFC to think about. Bye bye money!
  17. OMG OMG OMG!!! I wasnt going. I now am! :) Damn this... also - its the weekend of the red dwarf con the weekend after which I was considering but now doing this instead!
  18. I agree, I really do feel that if they could secure a massive guest, such as Zach Quinto, Masi Oka or even Ali Larter, and used their name from the start to push the con, then they would sell a lot more tickets and then be able to get a lot more guests too... I do feel that having the less famous actors announced months before the more A-List actors is what really hurt E3... That and lack of advertising - which I realise costs money. But having a mention in one of the sci-fi mags (cant remember the name - not SFX) at the back where they mention upcoming sci fi conventions (never seen massivevents ones mentioned there) would have helped. I know I check it out every month and have discovered other cons by other people that way - including a more local annual one! edit: the mag is scifi now. spent £2000 on paid adds which was half the cost a flight for another guest and we did not sell any more tickets after this group of adds went out so i do think we did our best i would also point out one other thing no other group tried to run another heroes event any were else in the world mostly because of the cost of the guest so we did our best and ran some dame fine events but now we will just be bringing Heroes guest to our other events jason Fair enough... just didnt see any posters in local stores like you do for Collectormania's. On a side note - for future conventions you may want to look at SciFiNow magazine - they have a 2 page conventions page every month which I (as well as other avid sci-fi fans) look t every month! I dont even think it costs to get a mention. You may have already checked but just in case. Itsa page 118 and 119 of the current issue I believe. Worth a shot for your other events! :) EDIT - Those pages are last months - but its near the back...

  20. Im sorry to hear you didnt get the most out of it. I agree it would probably have been a bit confusing had I not visited the forum before hand. Usually they do give a lot more infor before the first talk/on the Friday evening on how things will work but they didnt so much this time - guess they assumed everyone there had been before (have to say I didnt see that many new faces that I hadnt seen at 1 and 2!). Some people dont look at the programme either - and usually the vouchers for auto's were separate - not on the back of the programme... Was a good weekend - but I did enjoy Eclipse 2 more. The Casino party was excellent fun then :) No one local (from who we spoke to) seemed to know about the convention which was strange. Id have thought local advertising would have been key to getting more people to go - perhaps people are just blind... Shame there wont be another. This was something I looked forward to for the last 2 years...
