  1. Have received them now and have posted them in the pinned pictures topic! Very pleased with them !!
  2. Received my photos today - thanks to all involved in getting them posted so quickly. I'm over the moon with them; here they are ! and... I thought it was so cool that he wanted to have a bit of fun while doing the photos - makes it all the more memorable ! Cheers again for laying on such a good show !
  3. 1. A New Hope 2. Empire Strikes Back 3. Revenge of the Sith 4. Return of the Jedi 5. The Phantom Menace 6. Attack of the Clones 1 & 2 are about as close as they could possibly be. However, as a thirty-something Star Wars geek who saw A New Hope twice at the cinema on its original release, this has to just shade it, as it was the movie that started my obsession! (That being said, that scene with Vader reaching out to Luke in Cloud City is possibly my favourite of all 6 films...with the possible exception of the trench run in A New Hope. Can never quite decide which is the very best - both make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up)...
  4. I thought the event was great, (especially as I live in Coventry), and that all of the staff were also very helpful and friendly. Having only ever visited the 'other' show, the whole vibe felt different and somehow friendlier - everyone there (the guests, the stallholders and the public), all seemed really chilled and relaxed, which I think is fantastic. It has left such a good impression that we'll definitely be going to the next Midlands show and possibly one or more of the other shows. I'm a Coventry City fan, and I've got to say that my visit to the show was the happiest I've been in the Ricoh Arena! (Whether this is a measure of how happy I was with meeting Bruce Campbell and the show in general, or a damning indictment of how poor Coventry City are is undecided. Probably a mixture of both)! Regarding someone's suggestion of the Nottingham Ice Arena, I'd have some reservations - and not because it wouldn't be in Coventry. We went there a couple of weeks ago to see a Smashing Pumpkins gig, but spent a good 15 minutes driving round trying to find the place (despite having printed route instructions beforehand), another 15 minutes trying to find parking and about 10 minutes walking to the venue. We didn't see any signs anywhere for the arena, which we found unusual for somewhere so large. As such, it could be quite awkward for people unfamiliar with Nottinghams rather odd City Centre layout to get to. (Incidentally, I quite like Nottingham, especially Rock City - had some great nights there - just a bit concerned that people might struggle to find / get to the Ice Arena) Anyway, thanks to everyone involved with the show; I thought it was great, and am looking forward to the next one (that I can afford to go to!) Cheers !!
  5. LOL - I possibly put too much detail into the description, (including inventing a word; 'chinbeard'!)
  6. LOL - that is definitely what I am like! Sadly, we're going through the process of buying the flat we live in, so funds are tight, so we have to be very picky about what we spend on at the moment, so Manchester is probably a no-no. It's a shame, as my wife wouldn't have minded meeting Anthony Head and Emma Caulfield, being a big Buffy (and Angel) fan.
  7. Thanks. As you can probably understand, I'm just a little over-eager to see what the photos turned out like after seeing some of the other photos posted on the forum. They all look great, so I'm just hoping I don't look too weird on mine, when they arrive ! :-)
  8. Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, having only found out about Collectormania Midlands by complete accident (...and I live in Coventry! ). In fact, I've never really known much about Collectormania at all until a few days ago, and as such, I've only ever been to the 'other' show. Needless to say, I was very very impressed! My wife and I visited the show for only a couple of hours on Sunday sadly, (due to prior Mother's Day commitments), but we were there long enough for me to be able to meet one of my all time heroes, Bruce Campbell and get a photo with him. I'd have loved to have stayed much longer, (i.e. all day), and get some of my Bruce Campbell bits and bobs autographed as well. It'd also have been excellent to have met George Takei, Ernie Hudson, Brent Spiner, Marina Sirtis, Warwick Davis, Kenny Baker, Jeremy Bulloch, Mads Mikkelsen and Robert Englund! Sadly, time and my empty wallet were against us and we had to ignore the undoubted lure of the show and leave... Needless to say, we will be at the next Collectormania Midlands show later this year!!! As we had to leave (far too) early, I had to leave my name and address details for my photos to be posted to me; I was wondering whether anyone had received theirs through the post yet, or if anyone knew how long this normally takes? (In case anyone was wondering, I was the starstruck guy with the Wile E Coyote t-shirt on). Thanks !
