I really do not appreciate that this post has been hijacked by people whining about the disabled queue/patrons being let in a smidge early. This is not an issue. They need that access. Not all disabilities are visible and some people’s attitudes here are really ableist. I also have friends who used SM access this weekend and they still found it lacking in many ways (and they have passed on this feedback themselves) so it is by no means a magical, beat the queue system some people are making it out to be.

Took forever to get into the hall and even then going through the bit where you showed your wristband it all joined the same queue anyway so took even more time. Yeah I arrived at 10amish not bang on opening. Sounds like that went a bit quicker for people

As someone who picked up their 3 day wristband on Thursday. I was a bit annoyed about how the queue on Saturday was all ticket types bunged together. I could understand why this happened outside to keep the streets clear and make sure everyone went through security but really as soon as you go through bag check it should really separate into people who need their tickets scanning/pick up their wristbands and a ‘fast lane’ of those already with wristbands so they can get back in quick. I’ve been to other events who have a system like this and it works In previous years I’ve never had much trouble getting in on Saturday morning quickly but this year it took at least 45 minutes and resulted in missing a shoot and then having to deal with a clash that afternoon that I was trying to avoid. Boyfriend had to run to his Tony Robinson shoot and just made it. Just made the whole idea of picking up wristbands early a bit pointless Otherwise a good con once I got in :)

I’ve been coming to SM events for 10 years and think the auto layout and early management was a bit of a shambles for the busy guests. I didn’t understand why the guests weren’t on an actual hall wall like last time. The big queues for some guests were getting out of control and blocking the general thoroughfare for that main aisle. I think the problem was inexpericed crew being put in charge of VTs for busy lines and generally getting the day off to a bad start. This particularly happened with Robert Englund’s queue. Thankfully I saw expedited SM crew take over the situation and tried their best to help annoyed fans (and all my support goes to them as that is not a fun job) but most of the damage was done by then. Thankfully the only autos I was getting were Daniel Bonjour and Aimee Garcia. But I was annoyed in Aimee’s queue by a man pushing in near the front and making the man in front of him step aside so he could snipe pictures of Billy Boyd. Aimee’s assistant did nothing to stop this and was looking in that direction So I agree that next time some roping off lines would help prevent pushing in problems

Can we please have some Overwatch guests? It’s one of the biggest games in the world with an enthusiastic fanbase and seeing no guests at the biggest con in London is frustrating when other events are getting them. We all want to meet the voice actors!

It's not unfair about the gold pass. It's what they pay for. It's the whole point of it. I agree that dealers getting OTT amounts is a huge problem though. I do feel a lot of people aren't taking David's age into consideration here. It's like Tobin Bell last year. They simply can't go as fast as the others

Agree with Saturday auto area being too busy and stuffy. Trying to get down the Cumberbatch/Dormer/Pamela aisle was a nightmare. Maybe next year put a couple of the biggest guests like Cumberbatch & Pamela upstairs on floor 3 to free up the space & prevent constant fan paparazzo clogging up the area.

Went to get my Alan Tudyk one at 4 on Fri and took over an hour! The queue wasn't even that long! Wasn't fun in heels as I was heading to dinner and a show after. Also it rained like hell
