  1. I was just curious as to what time people were aiming to get there each day (mainly the Saturday) I can see this being super busy with all the big named guests going this year (please no-one say they are camping over night, as I personally think that would be taking it a little to far, but each to there own)
  2. We don't have access to the Showmasters inbox I'm afraid. Thought so just wondering if there was an easier or quicker way to get in touch but its ok, I will try calling again tomorrow then leave it...
  3. Know this is probably not the right thread and it is most likely to late now, but what do I do if I phoned and then sent three emails to the info@showmasters email address and still no reply? This is aimed more at TooTall, but if anyone else can help?...
  4. Just watched an old NCIS episode and had to use IMDB cause it was bugging me who one woman in this episode was. Turned out it was Martha Hackett, (new I recognised her from somewhere) anyway glad she and the others are coming, been doing events for so long now finally there is a guest going I have not seen before
  5. Thanks very much for the reply, this might be a minor point to some but I was just wondering (out of curiosity now that 2 parties have been announced and cause I'm thinking of attending both of the parties) I would like to know what type of music you / they (the DJ) are planning to play on the two nights, is it going to be just more modern stuff or will there be loads of convention type music like say Macarena and Dr Who (as an example) songs people can do dance moves to and sing along too I know everyones taste are different and you can't just cater for one person or for 20-30 odd people who like the same music and post in an FB group regarding this event, but it would be nice to get some idea as you wouldn't want to go to an event playing rega music or classical music if they were not your type of thing right (silly to pay out for them) Also it has to be taken into account the age of trek and the age of quite a few people attending the event, I only know one person over 60 who listens to rap As I said its just something I'm curious about and so to are a few others. The choice of music is one main reason why I don't attend Collectormania parties even though I know the parties (music aside) are great fun to attend...
  6. My question still stands - If both parties are £25 each or 2 for £40 and my hubby and I have only got 1 included with our gold tickets (grrrr), as a couple can we get two tickets for the Saturday night party for £40?

  8. This is what I was sent in an email. With regards to your concerns about the assigning of days to the captain's talks - this will take into consideration tickets that have been bought together - such as families, so children and parents are not seperated - we would assume children tickets and adult tickets will have the same booking reference (we can't see why children ticketswould not be bought on the same booking as an adult/parent?) so we are able as much as possible to ensure the captain's talks tickets are assigned appropriately - if there are any issues with our allocations so long as we are given enough notice (ie: not on the day!) we can go back to the allocation to help as much as we can to keep people together. The reason we have to allocate which talk/day you go to is due to the demand we are expecting from non package ticket holders who wish to purchase seperate talktickets- aswe have a talk area capacity, we simply have to know what seats are available for each performance and as package holders are there for three days its easier for us to manage this by allocation, rather than taking the risk of everyone turning up for one talk and being left disapointed that they couldn't get in. Hope this makes sense, Regards Jill Destination Star Trek London
  9. I heard the Trek.FM interview with media 10 and came across this (not quoting word for word) ""People who have bought tickets where Captain Talks are included WILL BE ASSIGNED A DAY."" I want to get GOLD tickets for me and my hubby at the end of the month, if I do so (assuming there are any left) will we be guaranteed the same days as each other. As I'm enquiring for others as well, what about families all going gold, surely children won't be given different days to there parents, then there are people who are going as groups, one person I know is going with a partner and a friend and they all want to go to the same talks on the same days. Both of my tickets will be bought together in one batch will that make a difference to your reply? Please can you explain to me in a little more detail how this is all going to work, as this is one main thing that will make or break my decision to go GOLD with my hubby. Thanks in advance for any and all replies... Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere and I just missed it, PS I already used the contact us page, so gona see what email I get back from there as well just wanted to see what response I get here too
  10. Money is a big concern for loads of people at this event, I think the main thing to do is prioritise, and make sure you have at least got a few quid to take with you on the day for any nick-nacks and autos you want to get at the event itself... LLAP
  11. It would be weird to have a bridge photo shoot without a bridge .. So long as its only for that, if it was added to photo-shoots with the guests it might look wrong if you had say a TNG guest in-front of the Voyager bridge.. My votes go for anything to do with TOS or TNG as they would be the most popular so best to go with them, especially as it Trek started with them.. LLAP
  12. Why would one be needed? Which ever one was used would be wrong for some and right for others, so I vote none.. LLAP
  13. Posted some bits elsewhere but as I'm going to this event I'll post here too Name: Lorna Age: 30 Travelling From/With: Hubby just 15minutes by car up the road in Essex Ticket/Intended Purchase: Not sure yet (might just be 3day ticket but could be silver/gold) will see on Friday Favourite Trek: Depends what I'm watching at the time, working through TNG and currently on season 5 at the moment, but I do love DS9 and Voyager and was a big fan of Enterprise when it was on Favourite Trek Actor/Actress: Alexander Siddig, Diana Muldaur, J Paul Boehmer, Most Wanted Guest(s): Diana Muldaur, J Paul Boehmer, Patti Yasutake, Ashley Judd aka Ensign Robin Lefler, Rosalind Chao, Carolyn McCormick aka Minuet, David Ogden Stiers (if still alive) Favourite Other Movies/TV Shows: Original BSG, MacGyver, Animated Disney movies, Stargate (like them all, but love the second season of SGU the most), Howard the Duck, Back to the Future, Flight of the Navigator, Dr Quinn Medicine Women (a few trek actors appeared in this show) the list goes on.. 14. I intend to buy tickets for me and my wife. If I understood correctly, this should be OK, right? Yep, I did the same for my husband and me.. LLAP
  15. The thing is that this event is different to all th eother events we've run before. The ticket system is very different so at the moment we're not 100% sure how all these things will work on the day yet. They are still to be ironed out. But it'll be done to not make you uncomfortable. Know its not your fault TT and I'm not blaming anyone, but shouldn't some of this stuff have been ironed out before tickets went on sale and guest prices started being announced. LLAP
  16. Taxis and mini cabs in London are not cheap! Nor is parking. £9-12 for a days parking last time I went. Not sure if parking is cheaper in different areas... LLAP
  17. If you run a group and don't want a table (I want to do as much of the event as possible without having to look after a table) is there going to be or can you have a table set out where groups could leave leaflets for people to look at and maybe take away with them if they wanted? Just a thought/suggestion LLAP
  18. As David said these forums are not for talk of other events outside of Showmasters and Massive events, if you want to know about other places to go, the best bet is to just try google or facebook, sure you will find some stuff on there? LLAP can send me a PM through FB if you want to know more Lorna K Bergin..
  19. And at a venue less then 15mins drive from my place Hubby can drop me, then go park at work and take a small train ride of 1-2mins to the event to queue with me, saving us a load on parking. 9-12quid for the day is a little steep, Haven't paid to park there in ages so god only knows what the prices are now (anyone know?) LLAP
  20. It's clear on the ticket itself - it states that you have to rejoin the queue and get a new VT, which at the end ofthe day is probably the fairest thing. Aren't these tickets allowing priority entry to get autographs with Jeri, I mean aren't they calling people who have these pre paid autograph tickets in advance of those who don't have them (at least that's how I read it). This in turn helping to ensure people with these pre paid autograph tickets get the autograph they have already paid in advance for. (Hope that makes sense) If so then what's the point of the pre paid autograph ticket for people who want to get her autograph with someone else like I do with my hubby. I will still have to wait for his VQ ticket number to be called and so will others who want to go through with there kids or partners. If this is the case then they need to make this clear in the shop (not just on the ticket) as mums dads etc might not want to leave kids behind when they go to get there autographs, plus my hubby and I only want the one autographs and if I have to wait for his VQ ticket number to be called I might as well not get an advanced autograph ticket. Lastly if someone says kids can go through with parents, then again some may complain about this cause if this is allowed then surely they should allow partners to go through together as well, shouldn't allow one if you donn't allow the other (obviously I'm not complaining just showing both sides of this as kids being left on there own is not always good, easy, wise, or safe) LLAP
  21. I haven't been able to discuss this with the office yet. As Jason has said they have a plan, it's to be worked through. Once it is it'll be confirmed. Until then I can't say for sure, BUT I hope will it be possible. We just need to make sure the system is fair. Any news on this yet? It's been around 3 weeks now... LLAP
  22. Since 2009 ( I think) Disney has started re-releasing all the Disney Classics (a few a year) on DVD and for the first time BR (blu-ray) as well, all numbered with there being 50-52 to collect all together. Only about 17 Dinsey (not Pixar) films have been re-released so far (this includes a few of the newer movies done in the last couple years like 'Tangled' and 'The Princess and the Frog') As well as the main numbered classics, they are re-releasing all the sequels most DTV (direct to video release), like Bambi 2, and the second and third Lion King (known to some as cheapquals not worth owning) I've been collecting them all and fortunately started collecting at the beginning of last year just before Pinocchio went back into the vault not to be seen again for another 5-7 years. This means apart from 1 film I have all of them released on BR so far. A lot I have paid for but due to Disney Movie Rewards I have claimed a few films for free (this is a service for those that don't know where by if you buy certain Disney movies after a certain date they come with a code in the BR/DVD case that you enter at this site Disney Movie Rewards to save up and put towards claiming free BR/DVDs (a DVD gives you 100 points and a BR gives you 150 points. You need around 700-850 to claim a free BR movie) Back on topic, just wondering if anyone else here has been collecting them all for whatever reason (be it there love of Disney or they have kids etc) LLAP
  23. BR - 'Mercury Rising' and 'Enchanted' DVD - Just watching 'The Andromeda Strain' LLAP
