  1. Thats ok, I will wait for an answer, but how early do I need to be there on the Friday as I know it would be a first come first served (when no gold seats for certain talks are left that's it) kinda thing, so do you suggest getting there at 9 like all the people from abroad who are getting there tickets at the event?
  2. Ok just been on the phone to seetickets and they said to ask my question on here as you should be able to help...... Situation at hand - OH and I both went for gold tickets. Hubby and I got totally different days to each other for all our captains talks Question, is is possible to get there early on the Friday and get this sorted so we have the same talk day as each other for all the captains. If the answer is yes how early would we need to get there on the Friday to guarantee this can get sorted. I only live 10-15mins up the road by car (my hubby works round the corner) so its easy to get there early go away and then come back again later.to queue for the event. Please can someone advise me on this as I could not find the answer anywhere on here and want to get this sorted asap so can sit back and relax now until the event. This not being with my hubby stuff is kinda doing my head in, cause I want to do everything with him as much as possible, that's why we both chose to buy gold tickets... Sorry just saw this above d'oh But still it does not fully answer my question, I really need to know how much of a chance there is that the OH and I can be together, this is a lot of money (as you know) for two gold tickets and it will be waisted if we can not be together, plus seetickets are telling people you can help sort this, if you can't they need to know asap to not give out the wrong information...
  3. I like the fact the ones you have showed so far most are portrait as if we buy any at the show (may be buying 3-4 pics) portrait style pics are the ones we prefer buying due to space on the wall. Know this might have been asked before but are all pics going to be of the characters in some of there Star Trek roles, only reason I ask is some people are seeing people for other parts they were in, will there be any of just the actor on there own not in an specific movie/tv role
  4. Once you have the autograph in your hands what you do with it is your business they can not stop you swapping it with someone else
  5. If some people have to collect there passes at the event, how will they know who they have in advance, just someone was asking on FB and I thought I would double check this, sure its been posted elsewhere...
  6. Ok if your inclusive autos are different to someone in your group, you will still have to get a VQ to go through with them right? Unless there kids I presume...
  7. Ok so this even is a one off but (and I stress but) Ii this event were to ever happen again in the future and this problem I foresee didn't get sorted to my satisfaction I certainly would not be buying gold again and I know at least 20 other people who feel the same way. I'm sure it will be ok in the end (fingers crossed) but a reply from showmasters sooner rather then later would be nice...
  8. Yeah posted in two different threads as I was not sure where best to put it and wanted an answer as soon as possible.. Thanks for the reply hopefully someone will come on here tomorrow to answer my questions. I'm still just surprised no one thought about all this in advance and was able to answer these questions as soon as people started asking about them (in my mind I could foresee all this happening months ago, if I am not on the inside and saw this, why not showmasters themselves) ...
  9. That is totally what I was thinking, I mean for the guy at work I can relay stuff but most my mates look on here ones every couple of months if that, and as said above the wording is a little misleading what is on the main home page as I took a look. I think if the people are going to the event even for one day and then buy a ticket for a party on a day they are not attending and there is space for them to join the party, why not let them in, especially those who already paid for the party ticket, as I said its not like they were not attending the event just not for the whole weekend but a different day to the day of the party they want to go to. Hey I don't make the rules just wondering why this is not the case...
  10. Thanks to all the mods for there replies as usual you have been a great help where possible, just annoys me that it appears (rightly or wrongly) with regards to my first longer post a page back that things haven't but should haven been foreseen by at least one main person working for showmasters and someone should have been able to come on here and give a full answer to these questions as soon as people started receiving there tickets, to help stop all this worrying etc Seeing all the tickets people have posted they have received so far, and reading a post on here about someone being given two tickets with the same autos on both, I am really starting to worry. My hubby is just as big a trek fan as me, maybe even more so a fan but still I had to talk him into getting gold tickets with me as I didn't want to do things alone all weekend and knew he would have ended up regretting missing out on certain things (plus it was a lot of money for us). I just hope I didn't convince him to make the wrong decision in going gold with me
  11. The Friday entry ticket is required as well as the party ticket. Well does it say this on the main home page for the event, if not there could be a problem. My work college is going to the event as well, most of his mates are going on the Saturday and one is going on the Sunday but they all want to go to the Saturday party together. If you put in your ticket reference number and go to buy party tickets you can buy more then one. my hubby bought one for us both, but (and maybe I missed it so I do apologise I didn't see it saying you must have an entry ticket for that day to go to the party the same night. Are they really going to turn people away who have pre-booked party tickets. Not everyone frequents these forums so unless it is made 100% clear there might be quite a few people who have tickets for a party but are not going to the event that day...
  12. Anyone out there that can answer this?
  13. Question, I see people are already getting there tickets (a few have posted about it around facebook) I read on here a while back that if you booked with someone else (in my case my hubby) and you get different days for talks, there might be a way to swap the days so you could get the same. Also I see as well that people are being allocated letters for there stuntshow and bridge photoshoots so I am guessing there are different slots for this too. Worse comes to worse what do I do if the hubby and I get different days and different slots for stuff. I want to be in his bridge photoshoot and he wants to be in mine, plus I would like to go to the same stunt show as him as well as going to the same talks as him as we want to be experiencing this whole event together. The main reason for going gold was to get the most for our money and to be able to do loads of cool stuff together. I could be fussing about nothing but worse comes to worse what are my options as it will be nearly £600 down the drain if we can't change what's on the tickets and end up with different days and times... Also how are they working out the autographs assigned to each pass (like in my case gold pass) hubby and I bought at the same time, I hope you are not doing it in batches as we would be in the same batch and we do not really need 2 of all the same autographs. Thanks in advance for any and all replies... PS - There are already quite a few people on FB panicking about all this and an answer to this might help put them at ease and stop lots of unhappy people coming on here in the coming days.... (Yes I know I posted this elsewhere but was not sure where the best place to post this was, and looking for a reply as soon as possible as this could make or brake a great weekend for me and the hubby)

  15. I think as I said before that I know the answer but thanks for no replies from some mod or showmasters on this. I am not the only person wanting to get a firm answer on this...
  16. Thanks but why would it be common sense? It is what I thought and this event may be different to other Showmasters have run themselves or been part of, but gold has included all talks before (even paid if I'm remembering correctly)
  17. I have a question, I'm sure I know the answer but just want clarification. With regards to all the talks how is it going to work. With regards to Silver and Gold ticket holders (as hubby and I have gold but a friend at work has silver) Do we get priority seating in all talks Do we still have to pay for any talks we might want to go to that are not free If we can go to all the free talks, do we still have to get tickets at the event for all those talks even though they are free (is it like a first come first serve basis) Prefer someone in the know to answer this not just another forum member, as I said I'm sure I know this answers here just need to make 100% sure on all this. Thanks in advance for any replies..
  18. I know but there will still be some that feel like they are missing out on something, whether it be the captains opening ceremony through lack of money, or cause they feel the Enterprise is a lesser alternative. or because they have the main ceremony included in there ticket so don't want to miss it, but would rather have gone to the other alternative opening ceremony have they been given the choice...
  19. Well a couple people I know are going to this alternative ceremony instead of the captains one as they think this one sounds better, so it looks like there losing out on potential money by having these two at the same time. When someone says they were going to buy 2 tickets to the opening ceremony but now have changed there mind due to the alternative ceremony, think that's another £190 the organisers are missing out on (not that that amount matters in the whole scheme of things but there could be others thinking/doing the same thing) Oh well...
  20. Not really a moan but I'm a huge Enterprise fan and would loved to have gone to that talk instead of (or as well as) the captains one but my ticket includes the main one and I would feel like I wasn't getting my moneys worth if I ended up not going to the main talk, does that make sense. I've seen Dominic on stage before and those two on stage together is gona be woeth seeing I bet...
  21. Seems like 7 should be fine for me, if I'm getting tickets on the day an all. Like to get there early as I like to mingle and see if there are any other people in the queue to chat with. Nice to make a few friends before I go into the actual event. I just hope the staff outside the venue don't do what they did last time, and actually let us in. We saw other people coming from round the back of the building, going in to queue, but it wasn't till we pointed that out, then the staff let us in the gates (face, palm) d'oh
  22. Yeah I think my friends only missed seeing guests like twice, and they have been to loads of events, its true if you get there late in the day don't expect a miracle if you have 10 big named guests to see, but usually if you are not to far back in the queue to get in and get all the VQTs early then its fine. I don't want anyone to panic just curious as all, the only time I have seen people go mental over guests was the first time SMs had the Heroes guest, and the one time I saw Scotty (James Doohan) from TOS, so twice in 8 years isn't bad...
