  1. I'm annoyed with myself now - I went to his talk but I didn't get an autograph from Robert as I didn't realise he'd been in Star Trek. I didn't realise either until I saw him in an early episode of TNG a few days ago. I liked Robert in SGU and TNG and had to choose, could have gone with a pic that was just photo of himself, but as I have been getting SGU cast shots lately, I went for an SGU one instead and well there were no pics just of himself that I could see. Can't always see the point of getting multiple shots of the same actor (the odd person that is your favourite maybe) I mean each to there own, but when a friend of mine said they had a DS9 cast shot plus individual signed photos of each person, and some with more then one of them in like dax and Worf, I wonder when enough is enough. As I said each to there own and its not my money so who am I to be telling others how to spend there hard earned cash but where does one draw the line?.... LLAP
  2. I'm probably only going on the Friday now (due to money being spent elsewhere on sick cat etc) so not this time.. Sure there will be a few over the weekend but not everyone who goes in costume goes on these forums. There's probably going to be couple trek groups going so that should help. LLAP
  3. Just curious to know what time people are going to start queueing on the Friday, especially knowing it may be a first come first served with the free signers.. I'm not 100% sure yet. Will be going to Kensington station to go to a museum in the morning, then grabbing another train to the event straight after, but maybe 4pm unless others are getting there even earlier.. LLAP
  4. I'm taking a direct train to the event as I live 10mins from Elm Park station which is on the district line LLAP
  5. Or people with bad eyes who can not view 3D like my other half, as one bit is like 3D and he could not see the aliens coming out towards him like I could... LLAP
  6. so true, www.weather.co.uk said it was gona rain last Sunday and when I checked the day before the weather results were totally different. The best weather we can hope for is a little cold as hate being indoors in places with 1000's of other people in the heat, its not nice.. (at least I have no sense of smell so if people stink I won't notice) LLAP
  7. Was that meant as a joke? Didn't see that it was posted in the 'guests days and prices' thread as well, so my bad sorry... LLAP
  8. Just had a look on the main home page for LFACC and clicked on some of the photos of the guests I wanted to see over the weekend to make sure I got the right Weekend day to go (don't want to choose Sunday if they are all going Saturday and visa visa) Anyway the three that I want to see, all appear to be going all weekend and that included the Friday :) me very happy, as Friday is the only day my hubby says he will come now.. I hope I got this all right? LLAP
  9. I'll just talk to myself then Sorry for some reason I did not see your post before lol Thanks for the reply LLAP
  10. Does he not normally come with? or is he one of these men that say "I don't want to go" but when your leaving the house he is like "oh but I want to come now"...if he is the 2nd, buy him the ticket before 4pm today! He normally comes with me, but he says if he does not come on the Saturday (only the Friday) it will save me some more money to spend at the event. I don't want to buy him a ticket and him to be pissed about it, then again it might be easier if I do, and just put up with what ever he has to say about it, later.. I don't want to go alone cause he wanted me to have more spending money, as that's not fare really, at the end of the day its our money, not mine.. Ahh!! I dunno what to do, sure I will think of something.. LLAP
  11. Nor can I but for some reason I just wanted official confirmation on this before I went ahead, just for peace of mind more then anything.. LLAP
  12. If I buy a ticket for the Saturday and then my hubby later (after the online shop has closed) decides he wants to come on the Saturday as well, can I just wait in the 'paying for early bird tickets on the day' queue with him, and show my ticket to the person inside while he just pays for his day ticket? Hope that makes sense? (Think I know the answer but just wanted to make sure before making a purchase or two in the online shop) Thanks in advance for any replies... LLAP
  13. Was just about to post that lol (not that I'll be able to afford anything but no harm in looking at what's available) LLAP
  14. You'll have to prize my McVitie's Medley bars from my cold, dead hands. You know you could always kill two birds with one stone? Public toilets are never that hygienic, so I like to spend as little time as possible in them. LLAP
  15. A bag to put stuff in (so my hands are free) - Oyster card - Entry tickets - Money to spend - Folders to put autos in so they don't get damaged in my bag - My phone, fully charged.. - Camera (make sure camera battery is fully charged before leaving home or that you have packed spare batteries just in case) - Water - can never have to much - Food - even if you don't eat that sandwich you made, it might save you £4 for the event that you might have spent somewhere like Macy Ds - Headache pills too.. - I like to bring a list of all the guests I want to see with me, in order of who I think might be most popular, then I try and go for there VQ tickets in that order (unless I pass where one of the guest I want to see is signing then I just pick up there VQT on the way) - Somewhere safe to put your VQ tickets, (mine nearly came out my pocket once) - Not a must have, but sometimes I pack a small jumper or long sleeve top in my bag (cause its sometimes colder outside after the event) - Oh and a list of all the things I DON'T need to buy (like I have 6 seasons of Deep Space Nine on DVD and other series so wrote them down, so I know what I am missing and what to look out for at the dealers tables) - Lastly spare £5-£10 just in case of an emergency. If you are not going in costume, wear something comfortable, as you most likely WILL be doing a lot of walking around. Not something I bring with me (obviously) but something I like to know. - Location of nearest toilets - hate needing to go and not knowing where one is - Somewhere to sit down if needed - it can get tiring walking round all day none stop - If you are going in a group can sometimes be handy to have a place to meet in case you all get separated, maybe the main organisers booth (although that area can sometimes get a little crowded) Sorry if I went a little overboard, thats most of what I bring that I can remember off the top of my head and things I like to know when there.. LLAP
  16. Looking forward to the Friday. My hubby has dentist (not looking forward to that) in the morning and then we are going to hop on a train straight to event right after that. Might be going on my own on the Saturday, (not sure yet) But I have a question If I buy a ticket for the Saturday and then my hubby later (after the online shop has closed) decides he wants to come on the Saturday as well, can I just wait in the 'paying for early bird tickets on the day' queue with him, and show my ticket to the person inside while he just pays for his day ticket? Hope that makes sense? (Think I know the answer but just wanted to make sure before making a purchase or two in the online shop) LLAP
  17. As busy as I anticipate Mr Lambert to be, I think if you get there anytime before about 1:30pm, you'll get an auto for sure. That's just my experiences though, never turned up that late, but you'd be surprised how efficient guests and Sms are at making sure everyone leaves happy :) It depends how fast someone is at signing autographs. I mean some guest can get through 100 pretty quickly others not so quick. Also depends how popular someone is, I mean I remember one year with James Masters, I got a ticket and I saw some lady on the side with her daughter crying cause they were handing out no more VQTickets at that time, well they did hand out over 1500 I think and there comes a point where a guest is not going to be able to sign any more then a certain amount in any given day? You can never make guarantees with a big guest, we do not know how busy or popular they will be until the day.. LLAP
  18. Well its not good for everyone, what about people coming from Richmond, thankfully I'm not cause I'm coming from Elm Park and get off the District Line before the part-closures happen.. On the right hand side of this page is a list of all the stations on the distctict line http://www.londontubemap.org.uk/tube-lines/district-line/ LLAP
  19. Well that saves me a few quid. It is annoying when guests that you might want to see, cancel, but you have to look at it this way, more money to spend on other guests, or some stuff at the stalls... LLAP
  20. You could try these people 'FRANKS AUTOGRAPHS' www.franksautographs.com if you are lucky the people who run the site might be at LFACC. The binders they sell come with sleeves that are acid free Try this exact link http://www.franksautographs.com/Autograph-...-Solutions.html this will get you to the part of there site that tells you all about the binders that they sell which they call 'Timecare' Boxes This is what they have put up on there site - "Timecare" boxes are acid free, lignin free, elemental chlorine free and have very low reducible sulphur content. This is required for the safe storage of photographic items. Hope this helps? LLAP
  21. Time for another update, was just going to update my last list, but not sure how many would go back a page just to see it.. LLAP
  22. Totally agree, there is only one person from the lists above that I might have voted for but even then I could not as the price was too hight for me, and simple yes or no for the guests would have been a better option. LLAP
  23. I wouldn't put it as far as saying something is unfair, but I do get a little peed off when I can't get an item of the guest in portrait like when I saw David Warner over the weekend, as I can fit more signed stuff up on the walls in my flat if there portrait rather then landscape.. Thats top of my list, but if a guest or two that I wanted to see started forcing personalisations on us (I dunno say as way to stop some people selling them on) then that would really hack me off big time, no matter what item I was there getting signed. (thank goodness that's not the case) LLAP
  24. I just bought a Star Trek magazine/book, relating to the make-up of the shows.. There really wasn't much there I was after, think the people I might have bought stuff off, were somewhere else on the weekend LLAP
