  1. I've met her before and she's lovely. Nice to see a BSG guest for this show.
  2. You can get a nice surprise with the auto packs sometimes. Last time, I got a Harry Potter pack but among the miscellaneous ones was a Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville's Lex Luthor) autograph - sweet!!
  3. I suppose, if I'm being a little bit cynical, autographs have a resale value that photos don't.
  4. Wonderful. I've met her before and she's lovely. Looking forward to seeing her again.
  5. Autos are only ever available on the day. My advice? Be there early. Very early.
  6. Well, after an initial "maybe I can make Sunday as well" flight of fancy, I've come to the sad realisation that I can only make Saturday. David is a fantastic guest and I hope all who get to see him have a great experience. I also hope the magnitude of this guest doesn't mean that we won't see another big non-Who guest at this con. The crowd will be huge on Sunday so perhaps a big Saturday guest to attract non-Whovians might be possible? Anyway, great announcement SM, keep up the good work!!
  7. Blimey!! Sunday only. Gotta make some phone calls...
  8. Please be Saturday!!! Heartbroken to have missed LFCC; will be gutted to miss the HUGE guest this time around!!
  9. It might be more accurate to say thats the price they are asking for at the moment. Don't forget he was intending to do a smaller event in Scotland this year, before deciding he wanted a clean break from events for a while. The price might be 'if you want to book him now while on the break' it will cost you that. Perhaps. Thing is, none of us on here really know so I'm happy to wait and see if the guest comes and what they actually charge rather than guess. I'll make my mind up on a guest by guest basis and I hope SM continue to push the boat out for new and exciting guests.
  10. You're reading too much into it. I wasn't talking about Quintos involvment in the movies. I was highlighting the fact that 2 little-known stars made one film and then after that they felt they deserved much more for subsequent work despite still not being known for much else. But the work you're referring to is, in Glover's case, appearing in 1 or 2 sequels for which he made unacceptable demands while, in Zachary's case, it's the price he or his agent ask for autographs at a convention. Hardly the same.
  11. I'd like to coin this as "doing a Crispin Glover". He happily accepted the role of George McFly in Back To The Future but (in)famously declined to be in the sequels later on thinking that he was now bigger fish...even though he was still relatively unheard of for anything else. Why is this 'doing a Crispin Glover'? While I agree that £75 is too much and that he shouldn't be more than Chris Pine, he hasn't got too big for his britches as Glover did and we fully expect him to return as Spock in the next Trek movie. Indeed he has spoken on numerous occasions of his desire and eagerness to return to the character.
  12. Yeah, I caught him at a very good moment. I saw his reaction to the woman in the skimpy outfit - priceless!! And, yeah, I cropped the picture; didn't expect them to be full length. Yeah Lizzy, he's looking so much better than the last time I saw him about 3 years ago.
  13. Plenty of room among all the other guests for at least one more BIG Who guest (please bring Karen back!!)
  14. I got her to sign some ER scrubs back in Milton Keynes; she spoke fondly of her time on the show. As she's a (very welcome) repeat guest, here's hoping for Karen since I couldn't get over in July.
  15. Going back to my childhood, Lee Majors would be awesome!! What about someone like Nicholas Hammond? Classic movie (The Sound of Music) and TV's Spiderman in the 70's? Or Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk)? As we've had Tom Wopat, what about John Schneider for The Dukes of Hazzard, and Smallville of course? With a 20th Anniversary Blu-Ray of The Rocketeer coming later in the year, what about Billy Campbell (was in Star Trek:TNG as well) or, dare we hope, Timothy Dalton?
  16. My last Vegas photo op arrived today. The legend that is William Shatner. To be honest, I've never seen Bill in such good form; friendly in the photo ops and chatty in the autograph line, warm and welcoming to all. A great experience all round!!
  17. With Anton Yelchin (Chekov in Star Trek '09)
  18. Beverly D'Angelo would be great and it's always great to see Avery Brooks. Any chance of Elliot Gould?
  19. I went to The Beatles Love show - it is amazing!! I asked a Taxi driver and he said it was the best Cirque du Soleil show in Vegas. If you get to Vegas, make sure you see it!!
  20. Great to see you there as well. I went to Celine on the Tuesday before the con, the day I arrived actually so I was tired but it was worth it. I saw her 3 years ago in Vegas and this new show is very different, much more intimate. Tim's Meet & Greet was $150 (front row seats and the meet after the show) while Penn & Teller offer a meet and greet for everyone at their show for free!! I waiting to get my Shatner photo op. Do you not get any autographs? That would certainly be a big time saver.
  21. I really don't know how you got around so many photo ops as I only got 3 and still had to balance them with so many other things going on, so bravo!! Vegas is great fun. I went to Celine as well and was able to see Penn & Teller and Tim Allen and, although they're not Trek, here's my photos with them, as they were got on a Trek-related trip (tenuous, I know!!) along with my Data and Riker shot and Olivia d'Abo from ST:TNG and many other things
  22. I've seen a few real Oscars and they are lovely. They have a display window in Paramount Studios where they show off some of their many Oscars over the years so I can't wait to get my hands on one.
