  1. Just getting ready to leave for Glasgow, I'm really looking forward to it. See you all there.
  2. There's a good possibility we can get him.
  3. Lol I just caught on. Alison Bettles who played Fay Lucas is one of my contacts too as is Erkan (Roland) so those a real possibility. Maybe Lee can pull a few strings to attract some of the original cast. It would be good to do an event like this to coincide with the end of Grange Hill. Should I drop Jason an email about this? That may be more appropriate, I just wanted to put out some feelers on the forum first to find out of there wqopuld be an interest. Grange Hill may not be sci fi but it does have a cult following. If such an event were to be highlighted on that Grange Hill webiste I reckon it would attract a few hundred fans.
  4. yes you are quite correct Dufresne it was George Christopher but his real name is George Wilson.
  5. Would anyone be interested in a Grange Hill Reunion if we got the cream of crop to attend? I am in regular contact with many members of the cast from series 1 to the final episode including favourites like Lee MacDonald ( Zammo), Erkan Mustafa (Roland) and George Wilson (Ziggy). If there is enough interest this could be a cool event either as part of an exisiting event or as a Grange Hill Reunion event of it's own. Your thoughts and comments are appreciated. Let's drum up some support.
  6. Hi Lizzy, you comin to Glasgow? I think your list is great Kiwi. No harm in trying although as Lizzy says, the bigger the name the harder they are to get.
  7. great, bring some to Glasgow :) SM are talking about November - 3 months away, Glasgow is only next week. I was referring to the second Glasgow event in December :)

  9. carry on stars with a bit of clout... Leslie Philips Barbara Windsor Jack Douglas Bernard Cribbons Patrick Mower (now in Emmerdale) Jim Dale Then there's always the ones who were in Carry On Columbus. Is there any truth in the story that a new carry on film is being made? I'm pretty sure I heard that Shane Ritchie and Russell Brand are 2 contenders to be in it but I'm not sure if it was just speculation or not.
  10. All sorted :) I met Jason in Scotland when he was filming Dr Finlay in Aviemore. He came to one of my gigs. He is a cracking guy and we had a few drinks together at the bar. He was relatively unknown at the time and was very chatty and down to earth. He practised his Scottish accent in front of me. He then asked me if I would help him play a trick on the Scottish camera crew. He asked me to pretend to recognise him (in front of the crew) saying it would make his day. Look at him now. I often wonder if he remembers me and our meeting. Would love the chance to find out. His late father was Scotttish so he has Scots blood. He would make a great guest for Glasgow.

  13. Great guest, I remember him as Solomon in The Hand That Rocks The Cradle - great actor.
  14. This is a shame. Hope you manage to find an equally good replacement in time.
  15. THis thread is a fine example of how guests can raise their popularity just by being genuine. Word of mouth like this goes a long way. After reading this thread I'd like to meet John Landis now. This is how guests should be with fans at this events. Good you on you John.
