Excellent suggestion. Gets my full backing although with his new series taking off it might not be on the cards just yet.

Latest Guest Announcement - Bernard Horsfall

Nice guest - a good one for the fans of classic "Who". -
I agree entirely. Keeley Hawes would be great, but any of the regulars from Life on Mars, or Ashes to Ashes would be most welcome. Liz White and Roger Allam for example.

Terrific guest. He's been a favouite fo mine for years - that episode of Dad's Army is an absolute classic.

Looking forward to working at a future event...

Excellent guest. Many thanks SM.

Some great suggestions already on here, guys (particularly Lee Ingleby, Stephen Fry, Sean Pertwee and Paul Whitehouse). I'd like to add Alun Armstrong, Kevin McNally, Adrian Dunbar and Brian Capron for consideration. And anyone from the fantastic "Early Doors".

Really nice guy. We shared the lift with him at our hotel in the morning and he remembered us, which was nice. So polite and friendly towards the fans, was very pleased that we decided to get his sig.
-
Agreed. I'd love to meet this guy.

I was very impressed with all the guests I met, but the outstanding ones for me were Tom Felton, Adrian Rawlins and Eddie Edwards. All three were so friendly and more than happy to chat - top guests. Burn Gorman was also extremey friendly considering how busy he was and was happy to talk about "Oliver!" and seemed to still be very enthusiastic about it.

Apart from the cold (and apparently there is nothing SM can do about that) we had a great weekend. I felt the event was very well organised, it was well spaced out all round the stadium and there were plenty of signs telling you what was where, and the gates were clearly labelled for those choosing to queue early. We got to meet all the guests we wanted and had plenty of time to browse the stalls. A very solid guest line up, and with a lot of the sports guests being only a fiver I ended up meeting more of them than I would have expected, and spent ages talking with John Lowe about our mutual love of the "mighty " Sunderland. The crew were all extremely helpful and it was great to see so many people there on Sunday. I appreciate it was a temporary venue, and taking that into account I think SM should be proud of what they acheived. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will continue to support you guys all the time you keep bringing such excellent guests. The highlight was meeting the Gene Genie himself. Due to the numbers in the queue it was only a brief chat but it made my girlfriend's weekend and its the first time she has actually got an auto off a guest. Enjoyed meeting all the guests, and didn't have any bad experiences although had to feel sorry for poor Nicholas Parsons who got leg cramp while we were talking to him. He certainly seemed to be struggling in the cold and I hope he didn't suffer too much. Thanks for another great weekend.
-
I think you have a point. For example, I was surprised how quickly tickets up to 200 were being allowed in even though the queues were already pretty long. For an average punter its a minor gripe but if I'd been in your position with a Gold Pass I can see it can be very annoying.

All 3 for me.

The BBC has announced little known 21 year old Scottish actress Karen Gillan will play the assistant to the new Doctor (Matt Smith) in series 5. Karen previously appeared in a supporting role as a Soothsayer in 2008's "Fires of Pompeii"

Top guest. His 1981 Grand National win is one of the great sporting fairy tales of all time. I will be delighted to meet him.

Excellent news - have been a big fan of his for years. Many thanks SM.

A very welcome if slightly surprising announcement. I agree he was great in "Fenric". -
ok who do you want to meet at Bad Wolf ? from NEW WHO
sdog replied to showmasters's topic in Bad Wolf
Always keen to meet main and guest cast of the excellent New Who. In addition to those already mentioned I'd like to add David Troughton, Daniel Ryan and Anthony Flannagan. All extremely good character actors. -
Oh yes. My all time favourite film! Sadly not too many of the cast left now but would love to meet any of those that are still with us.
-
Definitely gets my vote. Would love to meet him.

There's still a few weeks to go. Plenty of time for a lot more guest announcements yet.
