I have had 2 tickets sent by Showmasters for Saturday and Hannah Murray which is strange as I already have a ticket I bought for both Hannah and Saturday Entry, I emailed Showmasters who said that the Saturday ticket supersedes my other one which is so odd, does that mean they cancelled my other tickets then realised which is why they replaced them with "Complimentary" tickets? This has never happened to me before which is why I am so confused.

The other comment I’ve quoted is the correct answer to your query:

Showmasters posted the other day about this. Because some people bought tickets for LFCC on the original system, where all 3 days were listed together in the Eventbrite shop, they had to send out new tickets on the new system, where the 3 days are now separate shops on Eventbrite. You should use the new tickets they have sent you. The only issue with photo tickets is that some of these new ones have been missing batch numbers so if that is the case, you can always bring the old one as evidence of which batch you are. They did say the new tickets should have the batches on, however so it may have been corrected by now.

  2. The answer to this is simple and is on the FAQs of the website.

Photos are up to the individual guest and/or their agent. Selfies may be restricted at busier times to allow for more fans to get autographs signed, and the rules of the area must be followed. There will be signs posted, where necessary. These include “no posed photos” which means absolutely no selfies and “no photos” which means absolutely no photography of that guest. I’d like to elaborate further on why these decisions may be made - some guests will have exclusivity clauses in their contracts with other companies (production companies, distribution companies, etc.) which disallow photos of them to be published in order to prevent spoilers etc. Another reason is that the guest simply isn’t comfortable doing them. Anytime there’s a sign, respect the sign. Pretty much.

Masks are no longer legal requirement anywhere, but are advised in certain places. Which means you can still wear one if you so choose. Unless Showmasters specifically announce before next weekend, that they will enforce it (which they can’t anyway, only advise!), then nobody is legally required to or even be forced to wear a mask. The last two Comic Con events at Olympia were fine, masks weren’t required, it’s down to the attendee to decide whether or not they want to wear one. It all comes down to personal choice and nobody should be judged for it :-)

You’re actually wrong about one thing which is that if Showmasters chooses, they can’t enforce mask mandates - if Showmasters decide to have a mask mandate at the event, they can enforce it. Not “legally” like you won’t be fined, but they can absolutely restrict access to those unwilling to follow the policies of the event. Which can change. Without notice. I am speaking on this as a licenced SIA operative and not in my role as a crew member/mod because honestly I’m not sure what the office’s policy is other than following government advice. I have worked other events where official policy is no entry to anyone unwilling to mask. It is perfectly lawful as a term of entry. But again, this is not yet the case for LFCC.

If a guest is using a screen in photoshoots and I am not happy with that, as it is not what I paid for, can I get a refund?

No because it is still what you paid for. They have a right to work in an environment where they feel safe. If they’ve requested a plexiglass divider, there is a reason for it: this could be to help protect a sick family member, contractual obligations (remember if an actor gets sick during filming, the entire set loses a job until they are better) or a multitude of other reasons. If you don’t want a picture with the plexiglass, that’s fine - forfeit the ticket. The service is being provided, you’re choosing not to avail of it.

    A few questions.

I’ve got photoshoot tickets for Natalia Tena for the original Friday. I’m not not able to make the rearranged Friday but can still do the Saturday. Would my photoshoot ticket still be valid for Saturday’s photoshoots?

Secondly. I purchased a Diamond Pass for Brian Blessed for the original Winter event. Would I be correct in assuming that this will still be valid for the new rearranged show?

Finally. As I can’t now go on the Friday, can I cancel this ticket and replace it with a Sunday Entry, which is the only day that Brian Blessed is now doing? If so, who do I contact to arrange this?

    Thanks

    Hi!

    1) Not naturally, no. It would require a transferred ticket. Photoshoot tickets are day specific.

    2) Yes, you’re correct - for the same day as originally purchased.

    3) If tickets are available on the EB website, try emailing the office to see if you can transfer.

The email is shop@showmastersevents.com - please understand they’re receiving a large amount of emails and it may take longer than normal to get a response. Please be patient.

What are the rules for reimbursing photo shoot tickets I'd booked photo shoots in 2019 for the 2020 event. I've been reimbursed my entry tickets as I cannot attend this years event but had nothing back for the photo shoots I'd booked.

Please email shop@showmastersevents.com and they'll be able to advise re: refund requests. They're currently receiving a large volume of emails, so responses are taking longer than usual.

    Thanks.

    Buffy & Angel guests please:

    David Denman

    Elizabeth Anne Allen

    Michelle Trachtenberg

    Lindsay Crouse

    Thank you

I second all of the above. Sarah has just recently started doing conventions, as she also does a bakery business and is a full-time parent, so it’d be cool if she’d come over, for sure!

Can Brendan Fraser be invited again please??? I'm gutted I missed him last year.

He was so awesome! A very underrated actor and a very under-appreciated human.

I'm going to expand on my 1st post on this topic.

Ray Winstone or any of the cast from Robin of Sherwood.

Anyone from Buffy. But if you could get Sarah Michelle Gellar or even Alyson Hannigan back that would be awesome.

    Anyone from Lost.

    Anyone from Doctor Who.

And if possible anyone from the Marvel films. Not talking any of the main actors, but actors who have had smaller roles

I second SMG, but also *never* underestimate the office team’s ability to get the starring actors of any major franchise. ;)

I have two photos booked 1 with mark pellingro & the other with Robert Englund,  ideally I'd like to wear my supernatural custom made outfit with mark for the photo, but I would like to slip to the toilet to change into my custom elm Street outfit for my photo with Robert  while waiting in the photo que, & it would probably only take 5 mins at the most,  would I have time to do this ?

Until schedules are released, this question would be impossible to answer. Schedules are released in the week leading up to the event.

How about removing everyone off the website until they are reconfirmed? I think that’s what is annoying many people, the uncertainty on some guests.

You have to remember: Showmasters are responsible for a lot of events, not just LFCC. The people who work in the office are also the people who are building and planning the National Film & Sci-Fi Museum, as well as the Pixel Bunker and the Kurtz-Joiner Archive. On top of this, they have to liaise with agents, guests, venues, management, sponsors, stakeholders, volunteers and fans. They cannot remove guests from the website without cancelling the guest, as this may cause issues with agents/sponsors etc. due to contracts.

Just my point of view - being around and working with Showmasters staff, being in the business myself and working with major stakeholders in other business ventures. They are the hardest working and most dedicated people you could imagine, trust me.

Yes, IF a guest should cancel due to reasons like i.e. conflicting events (i.e. new TV show/movie being shot and he/she is in there or in the case of Alice Cooper that he has a tour coming up for example), then you will be reimbursed for said photo shoot, the only time a ticket will not be reimbursed, is when you have bought a ticket for the comic con itself and the con goes on and you're unable to get there. It's usually only when the con cancels that they give two options - 1) tickets will be reimbursed back to your primary source of funding i.e. bank account or paypal and 2) the tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled comic con.

This is actually not correct. As per the T&Cs on the website, Showmasters Events no longer provide cash refunds automatically. The automatic form of refunds is in the way of credit notes to be used at any Showmasters event or on the online shop, anytime within 2 years.

    Hi, I need some advice.

I booked the Robert Englund makeup photoshoot last year, but forgot to buy an entrance ticket. The Saturday was announced as sold out (without any low ticket warnings at all ), which resulted in many of us stuck with a £100+ photoshoot ticket and no entrance ticket to attend it.

I'm no newbie here and have attended for many years, so this was a simple forgotten mistake. With that said, Showmasters replied to several people on Facebook to email for assistance, which suggests there was a potential solution in hand. I sent an email that very same day, however, it's been nearly 2 weeks and still no reply (only the initial "high volume of enquiries" automated email the same day).

So today we have learnt that the event has been postponed to November, so will someone still get back to me? I know it's early days yet, but will there be more tickets released if people can't attend the new date?

    Thanks

The office team has such a large volume of emails that it’s impossible to answer all of them as quickly as they want to. They will respond when they get to it, however.

Is it possible to mark on this list which guests have so far re-confirmed for November? I’m seeing Facebook posts but nothing in the forum, and it’s all a bit vague and unsatisfactory.

    Hi!

These posts are created and maintained by the office team, who I’m sure you can understand are very busy trying to work with agents to reconfirm guests for new dates (this takes longer than you may think), as well as working on the National Film & Sci-Fi Museum, which our team is building and running. It’ll be updated as soon as they get a chance and an idea of schedules. ^_^
