  1. Is there a separate Gold Pass entrance like there is in the Summer? And if so is it in the usual place?
  2. I've been very lucky with guests not being the very last photoshoot of the day previously so I guess it was bound to happen at some point. Samantha Morton is definitely worth waiting for though!
  3. Loving how many of the Night's Watch you've got for this con! Ben Crompton, Owen Teale and James Cosmo would be very welcome additions!
  4. Awesome guest! Keeping my fingers crossed it's meant to be this time...
  5. Taking a shot in the dark but possibly Tosin Cole? SM had him before for being in Star Wars but now he's main in Doctor Who
  6. For someone who was extremely busy all weekend, he was an extremely pleasant guest. As said earlier in the thread, he took the time to chat to everyone and the experience meeting him didn't seem rushed even though he had hundreds to get through. My friend and I were extremely lucky in meeting him on Saturday without a DP. From the sound of it we were likely the only non-DP holders who managed to get an autograph. Lucky timing I guess?
  7. Met Alex at her theatre stage door earlier in the year and she was so lovely! Still need her on my Doctor Who companions poster so I've booked a Saturday diamond pass. Very excited!
  8. Really hoping for a last minute Game of Thrones guest, especially someone from the main 7... Peter Dinklage Emilia Clarke Kit Harington Lena Headey Maisie Williams Sophie Turner Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
  9. Gwendoline Christie Nikolaj Coster-Waldau It'd make an awesome duo photo op
  10. Joe Dempsie Mark Standley Ben Crompton Owen Teale Sibel Kekilli Dean Charles Chapman Rose Leslie Tom Wlaschiha Brenock O'Connor Esme Bianco Art Parkinson Would love any of these GoT guests who've all done conventions before but not for a while. I'm sure they'd all be very popular.
  11. Sebastian Stan It's about time we got a MCU guest!
  12. Awesome guest! More Lost guests would be great... I'm sure Evangeline Lilly would be very popular
  13. Highs Only had one photo op this year and it was with Nathalie Emmanuel on the Friday. Have to say it was very well organised, got through straight away with my diamond pass and everything was running on time. Nathalie was a delight to meet and said "hello again" as I'd only met her about 10 minutes prior in her autograph queue. My main worry was Gold pass holders getting let in late and losing the five minute advantage we get, but it turns I didn't need to worry. We were inside the venue at about 8.50 so this was even better. Every single guest I met was very pleasant. Have to give a special mention to Zachary Levi, who I only decided to meet very last minute, but he was great and having a little chat with everyone whilst still keeping his queue moving fairly fast. Managed to get a table photo with Isaac Hempstead Wright and Paul Kaye, which was a little added bonus whilst getting their autographs. Lows Some of the guest locations for signing seemed a little strange to me. Guests who wouldn't require such long queuing areas were placed against the back wall and then some guests who were incredibly popular were placed on the back to back signing areas and then their queues blocked the walkways. I understand it's difficult to tell who is going to be popular and who isn't, just seemed a bit strange how the guests had been placed. Sam Neill's autograph queue was causing a lot of congestion. The crew manning his queue seemed to let it spill way past the designated zone and it very badly blocked the area. One woman was particularly rude to me as I tried to squeeze through but there was no way round with having to cut through the line. I understand not buying a diamond pass means you may miss an autograph but it was quite disappointing to see guests not signing for a lot of time they could have been. The first hour the convention was open i expected the likes of Peter Capaldi to be there and signing but he wasn't. I understand this could be due to transport issues but at other points during the day, when guests weren't on lunch, at photos or in talks, they still weren't at their tables. Lack of signage was quite an issue, especially on the Sunday. When I came in to the convention I had absolutely no idea where Chris Eccleston's signing area was. It was quite a relief I didn't need a VQT and was only looking for him for a friend as I never would have found it without being told. I have to say the crew managing Peter Capaldi's queue were doing a good job in a tricky situation, it's just some things really didn't help the situation. For example, someone had wrote on the sign saying what diamond passes were being called in permanent marker, so the woman manning the end of the queue was constantly having to repeat herself to everyone who asked. As well as this, the red shirt in charge of the line on Sunday said he didn't know where they had got up to with diamonds so started from 0 and called it in batches of 10, which took for ever as the majority of people with low pass number had already met Peter on Saturday. Could have done with some better communication with the crew who had worked on the line on Saturday. The girl in charge of Iwan Rheon's queue was being very strict with only letting diamonds in, despite no diamonds being around to be let in the queue and Iwan still being there to sign for about an hour. Eventually a red shirt did come over and got VQTs through and in to the line. Same again with just needing some better communication amongst the crew manning the lines. In the first few minutes of the doors being open on Saturday, the girl sat at Rory McCann's payment table got very aggressive with people asking for VQTs. She started shouting at people saying it was her first time doing an event and wasn't sure whether she was allowed to give the VQTs out. Not sure why she had been left on her own if she wasn't sure on what she was doing, as the uncomfortable situation could have been avoided. Overall, I did have a very enjoyable weekend. Just a few things need to be taken in to consideration for next year.
  14. Really hope this is sorted by tomorrow. Every year there is an issue with gold passes being let in on time. Losing that five minute advantage with getting VQTs for Diamond guests is a crucial reason as to why I buy the pass, it’s a joke that we lose it due to poor communication between staff/volunteers and Olympia security.
  15. Amazing guest! Tempted to book a photo to update the one I had many years ago with him in which I look tragic Very glad however that I managed to meet him at his stage door two years ago, that has saved me a lot of money on a diamond pass to guarantee his auto on my poster!
  16. Wouldn't really say it's a free gift being as it's included in the package. A free gift would be getting something that wasn't included, as I wasn't expecting it when I paid for the pass. Anyway thanks for the somewhat helpful response. Maybe SM should run a feedback system amongst those who buy Gold passes to see what they think should and shouldn't be included, so then they can see what the consumer wants. I'm not saying everyone would agree with me, but for a fairly expensive pass, I'd expect SM would appreciate feedback from those using it. Also, my other question in the original post hasn't been answered. When will SM post which guests they have selected? Or are we just to assume it is all of the guests that are charging £10, as per previous years.
  17. I'd rather they were just taken off the pass and the overall pass fee decreased to be honest. In 2014 there was a choice of roughly 30 guests charging £10, from various different things.
