  1. There are self service machines at the stations that take card and cash. They are normally a tad more expensive than unlimited travel based options, although you may be able to get one at those machines. I tend to stick with Google-Pay for getting me through the gates, which is quite handy, but I can understand if you are hessitent to use that.
  2. Thankfully doesnt impact me this time, as long as they dont break the district line at the same time. Now for some rare helpful advice from me, If you have an smart phone, get Citymapper (https://citymapper.com/company?lang=en), its a free app, but ties into the TFL website and can do route planning and live journey mapping, with station alerts. Its helped me navigate London really well in the last couple of years. As well as other cities around the world.
  3. https://tvline.com/2018/06/27/grace-park-cast-a-million-little-things-series-regular-abc-drama/ Given fall shows typically start filming end of July, this could be a small issue, hopefully not as I have a photo booked.
  4. Hell yes, another great and one more for my SoA poster. Also booo, didnt want to add anyone to my list
  5. Last year media guests were on the right, sports on the left. main stage in the back corner. Photo boths at the back and by the side of the sports Dealers in the middle. Its all in one hall, even queuing is in the same hall for entry. They wont say who sits where as that changes on a day to day basis. I cant see it changing from last year as the layout worked quite well, the only thing that didnt work was diamond pass pickup, but they may have fixed that this time.
  6. it was the busier of the two days last year. but it is no where near the levels of chaos as LFCC is on a saturday.
  7. Man, Kennys shoot is so late in the day. I suspect I may have a lot of time to kill
  8. Sweet, hopefully he doesnt cancel this time. last 3 attempts have all been cancelled, hopefully 4th time is the charm.
  9. https://en.parkopedia.co.uk/ Parkopedia is another good one to use, its pretty accurate with the prices, Used that to find parking in various places
  10. Not sure yet for returning to defend the title due to staying further out, depends on transport links and generally how I feel on the day.
  11. email shop@showmastersevents.com they will be able to help you
  12. Nice, Diamond isnt on the store thou, everything else appears to be up Edit: Up now
  13. You are pre-queued when you go in, same as what LFCC has. So once the doors open fully, its just a case of funnelling people in. Early entry and standard entry are queued separatly to make it easier.
  14. There were some cos-play changing rooms last year, they were on one of the side walls on the ground floor. But it was only after you had gotten into the main arena. There wasnt anything in the loading hall except for toilets.
  15. Just Photo Michael Madsen, Edge and Christian, Jessica Henwick, Lou Ferrigno Met on behalf of others Shawnee Smith for @Faerie Tanith Carice van Houten for @smithy270492 And just to show off my SoA poster that I only started earlier this year. Kim Coates remains one of the nicest people I have met. And for some reason, Kim Coates and Theo Rossi have both been super impressed that I have James Cosmo on the poster.
  16. slight gremlin with the store, the Sunday shoots are listed in the Saturday section, only found this out after booking it and reviewing my tickets. Not an issue for me as I am there all weekend, just trying to contain shoots to the Saturday. Regular web store has the day banners through his name and on the app it shows them in the wrong days.
  17. it was certainly an experience. wouldnt put me off going again thou
  18. ... and got drunk, met famous people and ate very well So obviously I ended up at this event as I wanted to visit Amsterdam and this gave me an excuse to go and not feel too guilty about the whole trip. Friday As soon as I landed in Amsterdam, I dumped my bags at the fantastic CitizenM hotel and legged it to Heineken Experience as I had a canal trip booked for 5pm and I only got to the hotel at 2:30. Lots of free beer there, also well worth a visit if you are in the area. Canal trip ended up at the Amsterdam Tower where you can get some great views over Amsterdam. I finished the day by switching to Warsteiner beer, much nicer beer. Saturday in the event I waltzed up at 9:05 with my early bird ticket and walked pretty much straight in with no issues. None of that gold pass chaos from LFCC A quick waltz around to find where everything was sorted the main aspect out Stuck myself in the queue for Carice to get a auto for a friend since that was a queue that was building quickly and wanted to get that out of the way Waltzed straight up to Kim after that and had a nice chat about Officer Downe and how bizzare that movie was, he digged the posted I have for SoA that has some great names on and promptly blew his mind by reminding him that Robert Patrick was in SoA and had signed my poster. He also noted the James Cosmo one and seemed surprised I had managed to get that one. The talks were a bit strange as they were housed in the Food Hall, not going to complain much as the sound was pretty good when you were in the seating area and didnt disrupt anything else going on. Just a shame they were only 20 mins long as by the time you really got going, they ended. This then brings me onto the photos. I have to say this is my only gripe with this event, I guess by virtue of being a brit, I am used to queuing. The Dutch dont quite seem to understand the idea of it, full credit for the pitboss for trying to get the people to line up correctly, people just ignored her and turned back around to how they wanted to queue. I think they could do with some of the photo dragons from LFCC, the ones with the voices that dont take crap from anyone. I think they may understand queuing then. Bagged Lyndsy Fonseca and Noah Beans autos in very quick succession after that as they had no queues at the time. The stalls were actually pretty dam good and had a nice mix of everything and no real repeated ones. I was happy that I only had hand luggage for my flight, overwise I may have gone a tad klepto on some of the stalls. Although seeing old flintlock style guns for sale did raise an eyebrow as that wasnt something I expected to see. I suspect they were more replicas that were inert. The event while busy, didnt feel cramped or a hassle to get around, everything seemed nicely laid out. I was impressed by the event and would happily return again if the opportunity arises. I know there were some complaints last year due to the layout, but I hope they were back this time and were happier with the layout. I would even like to visit some of the other Cons in Europe that Showmaster partner with, I guess I will see how next year plays out. Sunday The only significant part of this day is to highlight Pancakes Amsterdam, my god those pancakes were amazing. If you are near one of those restaurants when you are there, visit them. You may have a short wait for table, but it is worth it.
  19. Autograph One Stop Shop They do have any online store
  20. These are linked from the event facebook page Photo Schedule Saturday Talks Sunday Talks Kinda annoying to have Kim Coates talk during Lyndsy's photo, but oh well, should still be a good day
  21. I do recommend the W14 hotel. Was very comfy, while it was compact, you didnt feel cramped. Walking distance wasnt too bad, pretty much half way between olympia and barons court (tube station). They also offer book now pay later with free cancellation should you not want to stay there in the long run, but is helpful if you want to secure a room for now. Breakfast was fairly decent for a Continental style, gave you enough to get the day going and keep you going for most of the day.
  22. they had posters up in the venue with next years date on, i would say its the right dates, but if you want to book a hotel early, find one that has a free cancellation policy
  23. We did not cheat, unlike you who got busted for using his phone during the quiz Yes, let us not speak of cards against humanity and what we learned of each other and how dark our souls really are For the shake of everybody, if something is described as a "freakshake" dont order it as a starter. Or youll have everyone just laughing at it.
