  1. Still holding out for Krysten Ritter, lol. She's pretty much my holy grail right now.
  2. I'd still like a second chance to meet her, maybe I should have gone for her auto, I had a VQ ticket in the early 200's but decided against it after the photo op and the fact I'd paid for two and only got one. Didn't feel like paying even more. Hopefully get another chance some day. She's still my fave.
  3. With the way the world is right now, I'm glad of security in all its forms. Over zealous or not, I'd rather they were there than not there should something actually happen. While my Mum was waiting for me to get done with Edge's shoot, she and another woman noticed a backpack had been sitting beside them unattended for a good 20 minutes, they reported it and it was quickly dealt with. Good if you ask me. Turned out is was accidentally left by someone. But could have been different. Security were on the ball with the report.
  4. I'm afraid I beg to differ, I've loved her for years, she's my favorite actress and inspired a turnaround in my life. I went to the convention in the hopes of telling her how much she changed my life and how much that mattered to me, and had a gift in my hand for her. Wasn't allowed to give it to her, she didn't say hello to me in return to mine, she didn't even look at me. I ended up taking only one of the two photos I'd purchased cause it was so rushed there was no opportunity to even say I had two. Is wanting a 'hi' a bad thing? I guess so.
  5. That sucks, at the Renner shoot the ladies handing out the photos were checking them as they came out, the little boy in front of me had his eyes closed and she took one look at the photo and asked him if he wanted to reshoot. I assumed that'd be standard at all shoots, that they'd check the pic as it came out. If it's not it probably should be.
  6. i was in front of you at the queue for Rutger's autograph-I remember your Mum saying she wore out the VHS tapes(back in the day!)He wss lovely-very calm and chilled.Glad your Mum enjoyed her day Hi! I think you and the guy behind us helped chill her out a bit more actually haha. She was very anxious about the whole con thing, but a combo of nice people and some lovely guests has made her want to go again next year. Good to meet you!
  7. Its kinda bizarre how poles apart peoples experiences seem to be. I'm more than happy to respect someones personal space, but I said hello to her and got flat out ignored. Not a word, she didn't even look at me. Yet she seems to have been personable with others. Odd. Maybe she didn't like the look of me lol.
  8. Personal fave of the con and oddly the one I was expecting the least from being as he's such a superstar. Turns out he's a superstar in person too. I took a silly sign and went up to him and he went for the hug pose but then noticed it and asked what it said, let him have a look and he cracked up laughing and said it was brilliant and asked what I wanted him to do. I said just strike your best superhero pose and ill try to look normal, which he laughed at also. Then he struck a cool pose and I gave wide eyes to the camera, pic done, he started laughing again and gave me a hug and I thanked him. Got a good laugh from his crew too. Was really fun and he didn't hurry it like I expected. Wonderful guest.
  9. Loved him, my mum and I had 3 pics with him, one each and one together. He just took control, directing us and the photographer and made it fun and funny. He even checked the photographers camera after to make sure our shots came out well. Total pro and nice as can be, would meet him again in a heartbeat if you bring him back.
  10. Saw a few ladies regretting shoe selection I'm paying for it today. I meant to bring a second pair of flats but left them by the door on my way out lol.
  11. Such an improvement over last year, didn't feel like I was in a hot sardine tin and everyone I spoke to was helpful and accommodating. Really good experience, despite my having to do half it barefoot because i wore the wrong shoes lol. Oh and those cafes need to cool their beans a bit... £4 for a tiny tub of sour grapes and no plastic fork lol.. but thats not your fault!
  12. I surprised my mum with a diamond pass for him, he's been her absolute idol forever and wore out 4 VHS copies of The Hitcher back in the day haha. We saw him first, I didn't have a ticket but the lovely people said I could be moral support as she was anxious and a first timer. I stayed out of the way and just took pictures of them meeting off to the side. But he absolutely made her year, he took time to chat with her, signed her copy of The Hitcher, personalized it and drew a little heart on it for her. His minder was really nice and didn't mind me photographing the whole thing. Total once in a lifetime opportunity for my Mum whos been going through a bad time recently and to see her so happy made my day too. At the photo session he gave her a big hug and said she looked lovely. Just over the moon for her and wish I could thank him for absolutely brightening her year. Lovely lovely man. Worth every penny.
  13. I do wish I'd known, maybe guests should provide in advance a list of photoshoot rules. If I'd known it would have been a strictly dont speak to her don't touch her thing I would have only bought one photo instead of two. As it is, I only used one of my photos and left the other because it would have been the same pic twice. Probably should have given it to someone else but I wasn't thinking. But that is a complete waste of almost £50 to me, so thats a shame. I'm not the richest person. I've idolized her for many years, since the Faculty. I actually credit her with changing my attitude toward life at one point. Its still fun to say I've met her, but she ignored my hello and didn't acknowledge me at all. Oh well. Just wish I could get my unused ticket money back lol. By contrast, Renner, who probably had a ton more to get through, took his time and pulled out a fun pose and chatted a little with me. Worlds apart, really.
  14. Renner was my MVP of the people I got pics with, the sign got a good laugh out of everybody and he loved it. Fun stuff. On the Famke thing, still a huge fan of hers, always will be and understand off days. But I did buy two photos with her and only ended up using one because it would have been the exact same pic twice.. so thats a bit disappointing and a genuine waste of one lot of £46. Should have given it to someone else.
  15. I read the FAQ's and for some reason was still confused. lol, thankyou though, thats great!
