They have done the door to the Chamber of Secrets as a green screen shoot before

They need to switch it up a bit.

If you haven't had your photo with Groot, the TARDIS console or the sword chair from GOT by now, then you've had/missed your chance. :D They're there every year almost.

Some events do photoshoots with various Star Wars backgrounds, the Star Gate portal & the Jurassic Park gates. Those would be great alternatives for Showmasters to consider.

I think a couple of Hogwarts green screen shoots with Tom, Sean, Devon and Jason would go down a treat. Maybe the common rooms?

  2. So that's two Slytherins and two Gryffindors.

You know how Showmasters do those green screen prop/setting shoots? We seriously need some Harry Potter green screens. I wonder if the organisers could maybe team up with the Warner Brothers studio tour on this because it would be great advertising for the tour & they're the HP prop experts & I know fans would snap up the opportunity to take a picture with Buckbeak at LFCC.

  3. I'm literally getting paid the day before & I'd like to have money in my account for longer than 24 hours.

So nobody from the MCU please. ;)

Also: we haven't had any wrestlers announced so it might be a number of announcements but The Rock straddles that world AND the film world so he'd be a winner.

Hoping for a decent line up of wrestlers again this year.

Yeah haven't they usually announced some by now? We're only 3 or so months off the actual event & no wrestlers, no authors for YALC & only 2 cosplayers listed & the list of film & TV guests is still looking a bit small.

Hope there's some aggressive negotiation going on behind the scenes.

This is a suggestion and a question kinda but just curious is there any chance of announcing singers or band members etc cause I’m confused after meatloaf last year, was that because he was an actor as well?

with that being said sir elton would be brilliant to see at a con, could match up nicely with his farewell tour and would love to get a signature on a kingsman dvd

I would not like to guess the prices for meeting Elton though. Extortionate. I had a glance at the ticket prices for his 'farewell' tour & the cheapest ones at Manchester Arena up in the nosebleeds are £102 each. I love a good Elton song as much as anybody but I'm not paying that when I could have the exact same experience watching a live DVD for £15.

Not to bust your bubbles or anything, because frankly it could be, but it's not something made up, that info has been posted elsewhere so I wouldn't say it's necessarily a clue

    I agree. Unless Showmasters say it's a clue, don't assume it's a clue.

I read it as a mere comment on the fact Endgame sold as many presale tickets as The Force Awakens but in a quarter of the time.

  7. I've got 4 nights at the Palace Court Hotel (I come down to London Thursday, go home Monday) for £186 (non-refundable) via a sister site to booking.com. 37 minutes walk to the Olympia but a) I like walking b) hopefully the weather will be glorious c) I assume it's a flat walk.

I probably could've gone cheaper but anything below £50 a night & you struggle to get anything that has an en-suite toilet & shower. Last year I accidentally booked a room that didn't & ended up strip washing out of a sink every evening because I wasn't about to use the grubby shared hotel shower. :spew:

  8. Sylvester McCoy is funny, sweet & such an amiable guy. During his Q&A he left the stage & wandered about the crowd taking questions from the fans himself. In fact all the Dcotor Whos I've met have been nice to chat with (both Bakers, McCoy, Smith, Davison & McGann).

John Rhys-Davies is likewise a very nice person. Took time to chat with fans & seemed genuinely interested in what they had to say.

Would anyone like to guess the unofficial 'guest theme' for this year? So which particular TV show/film/fandom a lot of guests will belong to.

So last year it was Doctor Who. 2015 was Back To The Future and we had one year in between that was Games Of Thrones heavy.

I'm predicting either Once Upon A Time OR maybe Star Trek because we've got Shatner this year, but then again there is a Star Trek specific event so I'm not sure.

  10. My list is VERY small this year:

Photos with Megan Fox and Tony Robinson. And I'm hoping to meet Tom Vaughan-Lawlor from Infinity War.

But I'm glad it's a small list because I don't have the money for any more!

The Whovians are going to be well skint this time!

and expensive ones: tom hiddleston, chris ecans, chris hemsworth, etc... marvel ones please.

I'm hoping that next year we'll get team Marvel. Seems to be DC and Doctor Who this year. Which is fine. I don't expect LFCC to cater solely to my needs. 2016 was a quiet year for me and 2015/2017 were two really great busy years so stands to reason 2018 is a 'year off', much to the relief of my bank balance!
