This is lazy journalism as it doesn't mention the pleasure and joy these experiences actually bring to people. It is your money and you can spend it how you want. I have a friend that was obsessed with Westlife and paid close to £800 to go to their final show. Not to my taste, but I have no right to tell them they are wasting their money or being ripped off. That was a passion of hers and it was her choice to spend the money or not.

If you are in London on the Friday with nothing to do, The Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square have a screening of Raiders of The Lost Arc. Not a party, but I will be there which is an added bonus for everyone.
