  1. She's a complete doll. Genuinely interested in everyone, funny, intelligent and intuitive. The sort of girl you'd want as your best mate. She was so generous, she deserves some sort of reward. She was really distraught when people were upset they weren't getting to the front of her autograph queue,
  2. Oh my god,yes - you must all have one huge arm like Popeye's by now! Thanks for being so great, though - I heard loads of people voicing their appreciation and I told every yellow shirt I could how grateful I was.
  3. I'd like to add to the chorus of praise for the organisation and running if the event. All the endless fears and worries on these boards in the lead up were completely dispelled - even us Platinums, who had packed schedules and clashes, got everything they wanted from the weekend, and all the crew I encountered were patient, helpful and well informed. Things were crazy at times, but never out of control. It was a huge pleasure to deal with all of you, and heartfelt thanks for making my weekend perfect!
  4. Leaving soon myself. So excited now! Look forward to seeing you all later on! The game is on!
  5. I hope you all have a lovely locations tour tomorrow! I'll be thinking of you enjoying it. For those of us meeting for at the Watson exhibition at 7 - silly question, I know. But are we coming dressed ready for the party later, or going off to change after? The latter would be my preference, but I'm happy to be guided by others - any cosplayers might have their own view!
  6. I was wondering the same, evil, as I'm trying to plan when I can meet my friend, who's arriving on Saturday morning, so I can give her the photo shoot ticket I booked for her! It would be great to be able to get the autos and then meet up, if I can get close to the front of the Platinum A queue and therefore leave enough time to see her before the photos start.
  7. I've been to several events ticketed by eventbrite before, and you always get a reminder email a few days beforehand with another e-copy of your tickets in case you've mislaid them. It was very useful the last time as I'd been carrying a printed version round in my work diary for almost a year, and it was almost illegible by then! So don't fret, it's just something designed to help you, not intended to confuse. They do all say 'Reminder for Sherlocked' at the top, so it's not hard to understand!
  8. Ooh, do you mind me asking where from / what brand? I've got a drawerful of the things, but they're very cheapie ones for work, and I worry about the print sticking. Yours sound much better.
  9. It's not 200 as far as I know. And it will still be a line, not "everybody trying to get to Mickey Mouse at once" Disneyland Paris type of scrum. This is the commonwealth. We queue. This is why I love you guys, eh.
  10. It's my first convention too, and there are several others on these forums, so you aren't alone! I'm too busy at the moment to even think about the logistics (though I did book my hotel and travel tickets as soon as I knew I was attending) but things have a habit of sorting themselves out. Things to remember: London is a big, 24-hour city. If you forget something, it's unlikely to take more than 20 minutes to replace it. I'll bet you could even rustle up something to cosplay in, if you are so inclined. Also: you will be among lots (and lots) of people with whom you share a common interest (aka obsession). I think it will turn into a big community and we'll all look after each other beautifully. I am An Older Person and can be relied on to have headache pills, plasters, tissues, spare change, wet wipes and all the other things in my handbag which earn me my nickname of the Office Mummy. I also lived in London for a long while. Look out for all my big curly blond hair among the crowd, and if you need something, and if you manage to spot me, I'm happy to do what I can to help!
  11. I'm staying at the same hotel as you, ascendant.angel, but I won't be getting in to town till later on. Do join us all at 7pm at the Watson exhibit if you haven't found anyone by then!
  12. I think I've decided to get everyone to sign my Sherlock Chronicles, but I do really want a photo signed by Benedict... I don't care about what the value of the book will be as I shan't ever sell it, so Ben's not being there won't matter from that point of view. Besides, I'm hoping it won't be the only time I ever get to see him to get an auto, so he can always fill it in later!
  13. I have been very shocked by some of the terribly negative, juvenile reaction to Benedict's engagement, marriage and impending baby, which has resulted in ridiculous attacks on Sophie Hunter on the web and social media. Some of us are huge fans but don't subscribe to the sort of jealousy and nonsensical possessiveness that has always come with swooning fandom over actors and pop stars, and I think that's why some folk are a bit prickly about this sort of thing.
  14. More squeeing from this corner of the country too!
  15. Thanks for that, evilfairie! I seem to have solved the issue by forking out for a photo of me and BC on the 221B set... Slightly drastic but very exciting.
  16. I can virtually do the dialogue by now. I'll be reduced to reinventing them through the medium of interpretive dance or something by the time we get some new ones...
  17. They'll be able to do it from the colour of your suitcase. If they can't I will be sorely disappointed.
  18. I wish I knew which on-set photo I have included in my Platinum package! If it's Mycroft's office, that's great, but I reallllllly want to be pictured sitting on the sofa in 221B... Might have to hold my nerve and wait till I get there to find out, and hope photo ops are still available then.
  19. I'd love to book some more photo shoots but my Saturday is already looking manic, with being in Platinum group A! Not that I'm complaining...!
  20. Yep, that's how I feel too - of course I'd love all the extras, but we are already getting such a lot with the Platinum that I can't be churlish about it. I'm going to try very hard to resist, no matter how much I'm tempted!
  21. Oh, the splendiferous Rory Slippery! *thud*
  22. I shall be very sad not to get to speak to the great Arwel, if that's the case: he's really my hero for his glorious production design, making (often fake) London look so glorious, and the sets and locations so stylish and mouthwatering. I'm an architectural historian and art historian, and his work creating the 'feel' of the show is one of the key attractions of Sherlock, for me.
  23. I'd be more likely to recover thanks to the application of topical Cumbers!
  24. Well, it would break the ice...
