  1. I'm going to have to go back to the drawing board with one of my signing ideas! I've just got back from a day at Gloucester History Festival, where one of the events was Janina Ramirez interviewing Mark Gatiss, and he was signing books afterwards, so I managed to get a signed 'Devil in Amber' to go into my Lucifer Box box set. I was going to bring it with me to get him to sign at Sherlocked, so now I have to think of something else! A nice dilemma to be in, though. Maybe I will bring my League of Gentlemen scripts, though it weighs a ton: I'd like to have all three of them sign it one day. Comedy heroes of mine.
  2. Yes, I'm the same, kind of hoping against hope - but it's not over till the schedules are published! Still no news on the parties, I see - I suspect they'll be a bit of an afterthought like last time; and given we don't even know the themes yet, I'm thinking no-one's got round to organising much. I'm not really planning on attending, especially as they're not included in my package, unless someone can tell me something spectacular will happen - if I can have a mad dance with Andrew Scott I might be tempted! At least it's two fewer occasions to pack for...
  3. So... we're only two weeks away, but the schedules still haven't been finalised and the photo groups aren't yet complete. Does this mean the organisers are still waiting for decisions by more guests on whether or not they can attend? What do we think?
  4. I think I've only just realised properly that this is actually happening. Squeeeeeeee! How few days is it now?
  5. Yep, I'm getting quite fizzy now, despite the amount of work and other stuff I have to get through before we get there! I had such a great time last time. Despite all the running around. And I know in advance this time that the organisation will be great and even a seemingly impossible photo/autos schedule will be do-able, so I don't need to stress. But I would like not to have to miss quite so many talks this time.
  6. I'm sure Arwel was listed among the guests early on, last time, because I remember being pleased about it. Gosh, it would be great to hear him talk about how they took the familiar sets back 120 years and still kept them familiar.
  7. Forgot to say last night 'thank you so much for posting that' As they aren't on the guest section of the website nor on here I had completely forgotten that they were coming. I had a quick look at David's work on ITunes last night and apart from the stuff he has done for Sherlock, a lot of which I love, he also did my other favourite programme Stargate! So at least I'll remember now to talk to him about it Following on from this, I had a trawl around the website and could t find any more mention of their attending, so I sent an email asking for confirmation that they were still attending, to which this was the reply: "I am happy to tell you that Mr Arnold and Mr Price will be attending as guests at our event. We are currently finalising their exact activities at our event and details of this will be announced via our website and other social media soon." So I'm not sure if they'll have formal photo shoots and autos, or if it will be more like Arwel and Danny last time, when it was just rock up and and say 'hi'. And I have succeeded in getting a rigid mailer sleeve for my album, from a record shop guy. Thanks for all your suggestions!
  8. Thinking about it, I recall in an interview (or might have been on the DVD commentary) one of them mentioning a photo of Mycroft and Sherlock as boys (there are two boys in this one) but I can't remember where it was. Possibly Sherlock's bedroom, or otherwise Mycroft's office. The paperweight and envelope would fit with Mycroft's office too. I wanted to have a poke around when I had my set photo last time, but it was all too quick! So I can't say for sure.
  9. I think the file is from The Empty Hearse, when Sherlock's asking about John. Anthea gives Sherlock the file with the photo of John in his new moustache, and he says they'll have to get rid of it - he can't be seen to be wandering round with an old man! No idea about the top one though!
  10. Well it depends, if it's a battenberg, heck no, Victoria sponge, heck yes. A woman after my own heart. Have one of mine.
  11. Although late comers have to sit at the back and do the show in their pants. Or bring cake. Frankly, either is perfectly acceptable.
  12. The parties are still mentioned as a thing on the website, but with no details. The party I went to last time was dire - somewhere between an end of term school disco and a cheapskate wedding reception - so I wasn't sad they weren't included in the package this time. Looking on the website, I noted this hopeful line in the FAQs: "Guests may be announced right up until the event opens."
  13. Really? Aw. Well, I had told myself that neither BC nor MF would be there, so I was prepared for that, but still... At least this time I will be able to get to more of the talks and won't have to do quite so much running around. The platinum package was a curse and a blessing in one last year. And I can start to plan my weekend a bit.
  14. The weekend just got a lot better! Andrew Scott! *does happy dance*
  15. It's a (very expensive) teddy bear. I'm so glad I didn't get excited.
  16. If you have somewhere to hang it, then why not? The problem I have is that I have a house I share with my non-Sherlock-obsessed husband, so it's not really fair to have all my Sherlocky stuff around the place; not to mention that it just doesn't really go with our decor and collection of antique engravings! I try to keep it all confined to my home office - which is fine, as I spend most of my waking hours working in here - but with massive bookcases I don't have a lot of wall space, especially for bigger items. So I'm trying to keep all of my signed stuff small and contained, which is a challenge in itself.
  17. I'm off to do a bit of internetting before bed, thanks for suggestions so far. If anyone knows of any specific products which are intended for 12" vinyl, do let me know.
  18. With the exception of the leads - who for me last time were Benedict, Mark, Loo and Andrew - I got everyone to sign my Chronicles. I think I'll have to do the same this time for the people who weren't there last year, apart from Amanda. I think I'll get her to sign a 10x8 perhaps showing her and Martin, and hope to get Martin to sign it too at some point in the future. For Natasha, and others I got to sign last time, I think I'll also go for 10x8s bought on the Friday evening. I have no time to go shopping for stuff and nowhere nearby that I'd be able to get the kind of merchandise you guys are talking about. I'm really still a novice at this sort of thing - Sherlocked was my first ever con, and I'm not a fan of anything else in the con world! Oh, and I am trying to find a way to bring the sleeve for my limited edition vinyl soundtrack album, to get Michael Price and David Arnold (hero) to sign - some kind of rigid case is required. Any ideas or experience on that, folks? It needs to withstand being transported on an intercity train in my suitcase.
  19. Neither do I but pictures of Benedict will never be turned away. I googled "Benedict Cumberbatch fur coat", and got a bit...distracted (That was the last one, I promise)
  20. (I am primarily amusing myself here. I don't expect it has anything remotely to do with BC)
