  1. I'd like to meet Stallone - if he can do the US circuit, he can do the UK one too.
  2. It was great to get a power loader photo with Sigourney Weaver. I guess I reflect on the fact that I didn't get a delorean shoot with MJF and Chris now but that would've burnt a hell of a hole in my wallet. Was just happy to get a photo with both of them. I am pleased for those who were able to get prop shots with all of the guests - great memories, but standard photo shots are just as memorable. I am still pinching myself that I met all those famous people as it was my first convention. I won't forget it in a hurry and hope I can make next summer's convention. Depends if I have the cash or not.
  3. Nope! Lucky for me lol ! I had VQ ticket number 11 i had a great time with carrie. We've actually become good friends since the show and write to each other pretty regularly I like this - nice
  4. I think people forget this was a one off opportunity to meet legendary individuals, such as MJF and SW. Those prices are not unreasonable imo to meet those types of icons. I mean, I would pay through the roof to meet Arnold, a real hero of mine as well. However, I am equally as much of a fan of MJF and SW. Showmasters made this possible and to be honest, due to their stature, I think people got a good deal on the diamond pass, but that's just my overall opinion. You have to take everything into account to understand that part. I feel for those who couldn't afford it, though. Also, I didn't have a diamond for SW and still met her - but I had a gold pass so that might've helped but the queue for the 2nd photo shoot on Saturday with the power loader was surprisingly not too big, so maybe I was lucky? I think though the gold pass still serves a good purpose and the diamond pass guarantees everything you need. There weren't too many diamond guests there and with a gold pass, you'd still be able to meet a good majority of the other guests you'd want to meet - I think the gold pass has good value and I find its true - you can't do this type of event without one. I think its reasonable for what it gives to you, too.
  5. The weekend was brilliant and for me, the positives FAR outweigh any negatives and those negatives were very minor and not worth the time of day. It was a great job by Showmasters and everyone involved.
  6. Thanks for the heads up, wrong_name - disappointed the public won't see the end product, though.
  7. wrong_name, the person who did the record was definitely a press officer because they had a press lanyard around their neck - I just wish I knew who it was so I could ask them if its possible the footage will be released for free viewing/purchase.
  8. Frances Lee McCain, without a doubt. Lovely lady and agreed to have a photo with me, even when she didn't have to as she had her own separate photo-shoot. Did a great autograph and spelt 'Peltzer,' 'Petzer.' Haha. To be honest, whilst I find the other guests I met, met with no issues, none really sprung into life like she did. Amazing woman. I can't believe I met the woman who kicked ass with the Gremlins in the kitchen - that scene is so iconic.
  9. To me, its all still surreal - I was just happy to get 99% of the stuff I wanted to do. I was perhaps slightly miffed I missed the tombstone and not get the goody bag but that was my choice as the tombstone clashed with one talk and I was already lugging enough around with me and knackered, I left out the goody bag. At least next time, if there is one (which I hope there is), I am better prepared.
  10. I agree, those three are not out of reach - Agree about Bruce Willis. I admire his work, but not heavy on him like Arnold or Sly.
  11. What I can't understand is, at the Neve talk, someone was definitely recording the talk, so that video must've ended up somewhere and if people are willing to pay for the privilege of seeing the talk and there's nothing wrong with the video/talk, where's the harm? I'd love to find out who it was who filmed the talk as I wouldn't mind seeing the video from the Neve panel. I know I keep going on about it, but it was such an important talk for me because I got to ask Neve a question and that really is a very rare opportunity. So if anyone can help, it'd be appreciated but I don't think it is going to do much good as I don't believe the footage gets released.
  12. Why did you get kicked out dude? And yes he was superb with his fans Sorry, bad phrasing, it was 8pm so everyone was being asked to leave as the con was closed! 8pm? I was worried about being kicked out at 6 for a few of my photo shoots, lol.
  13. To be honest, I came to the conclusion that at certain points during the day, I had had enough and wanted to get everything done and go - I wasn't getting stressed, but I just wanted some free time to myself, just to get some space. That said, I did find that sitting down in a separate space on the floor made a HUGE difference and allowed me to rejuvenate, but again, this is just a really minor point as I had a fab weekend and the positives so far outweigh the negatives. If you get what you need done, then its worth it.
  14. Feel really bad for you but I am glad you had an amazing time.
  15. RomeroSavini, are you trying to make me feel better, haha? Maybe one day I could meet him but if not, an autograph would suffice but I prefer IP autographs as buying from dealers, you always take a chance on authenticity, unless you can absolutely guarantee the company is legit.
  16. Yeah, franks autographs is the way to go. They sell the proper polyester pockets and storage boxes you need and retain the ink pigments for some time - their items are designed for long term preservation. Putting your items on display in light conditions is asking for trouble unless you use museum grade materials.
  17. I think this year, I got lucky as I managed to do everything I needed to do with minimal hassle. I only missed the tombstone and the gold pass goody bag, which I heard wasn't that great, but can't make judgment since I didn't collect it as by that point, I was knackered out and had lots to carry. The tombstone unfortunately clashed with one of the talks so I had to make a small sacrifice there but as it was only a prop shoot (albeit a good one), it wasn't a major disappointment. Overall a great weekend and I would strongly emphasise to buy a gold pass and diamond pass for guests you know are going to be popular - so glad I bought diamonds for MJF and Robert Englund. Robert was just brilliant - just seems so natural. The makeup shoot was fantastic. MJF I only had seconds with and can't make judgment, but seamt fine too. I felt sorry for him because it must have been tough for him but if it all goes toward a good cause, then that's great.
  18. I heard in the US it was about $445 dollars or sommat. RomeroSavini, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous of you right now. I bow and I polish your shoes and I am your servant for life. Nah, just kidding, but I am mega jealous haha. Great job on getting Arnold's signature. I was REALLY annoyed I missed that last year but what a fabulous weekend I had this year meeting all those awesome names - never in a million years did I think I would meet any of those people. Do you happen to have a photo of your appearance with Arnold? I'd totally understand if you didn't want to post it.
  19. I find that if you want a guarantee, you MUST buy a diamond pass. Especially with the guests you want to meet who you know are going to be popular. Anything else, you MUST have a gold pass. Although this was my first con, it basically guarantees you will get everything you want to do - that said, I missed a photo session with the tombstone prop, but to me, that wasn't a major thing and also I didn't pick up the goody bag for gold pass users since I was already lugging around a lot by that point and was getting quite tired. That was one of my minor complaints - the main kitchen was too small and when you have 80k + public members turning up, it doesn't make sense, but that was a very small gripe since I had a fabulous weekend.
  20. I asked Neve what it was like to work with Laurie Metcalf - I just couldn't believe that I had just asked Neve Campbell a question - definitely added to the experience of the weekend. Not going to push the issue at all, but I know there was a press guy there doing a recording, so the video must've ended up somewhere. I would quite happily pay for the video, for personal use obviously, lol. If it can't be done as I don't think it can, no issues, just be a shame.
  21. I would still pay the £1500 - he's a legend!
  22. I wanted to get a video of the Neve Campbell talk (which I would have paid for) as I know there was a press officer there recording the talk as I asked Neve a question and would've been a great memento so obviously the video must have ended up somewhere.
  23. Schwarzenegger would be good - wouldn't care paying the price for his autograph! He did a few appearances in the UK last year and one of them was a black tie event where he charged £1500 for a photo - I'd pay it in a heartbeat. He's one of my favourites. Then, I've had an opportunity to meet some of my favourites on the weekend, too.
  24. Nice pics ianb (and everyone else) - can see that radioactive box being valuable one day! Keep it safe.
