  1. After my 45th visit to the cinema this year. I've just watched my final film of the year.. Bumblebee is what the Transformers movies should of been made like as not the Michael Bay OTT versions we ended up with. My Top 5 2018 films seen at the cinema in no particular order Molly's Game Avengers Infinity Wars Ready Player One Mission Impossible - Fallout Bohemian Rhapsody Honourable mention A Simple Favour Deadpool 2 Sicaria 2 Worst films in order of how bad they were. 1 The Predator - absolutely terrible film only saving grace the two further Predator films Shane Black was going to make thankfully will never happen 2 Pacific Rim 2 - Garbage-trying to make money off the surprise hit of the 1st film. Millions sent on CGI 50p on the script 3 Downsizing - Yawn 4 Jurassic Park - Fallen Kingdom - also the biggest let down of the year for me. Even Chris Pratt cannot save this movie Here to 2019 Happy New Year everybody
  2. Slow year for me as I've just reached my 30th film with Christopher Robin. Totally agree with Wrong Name summing up of the movie. In fact there were more adults then children watching it at my local cinema this afternoon..
  3. This is why I love going to these events. Yes you pay for a photo and an autograph but it's the personal interactions you get with some of the people you meet they are priceless and it those memories that will last a lifetime. Catherine Mary Stewart was wonderful we ended up chatting for about 5 minutes, she said that was blown away by the love the fans have for "The Last Starfighter & Weekend at Bernie's and never expected 30 years later that they have been remembered with such fondness. Catherine Bach was fun to talk with. James Caan was amazing said how well he looked, he laughed and said I may look it but the rest of my body doesn't feel it then laughed again. The man is a legend. Asked the Allo Allo cast what their secret was as they looked as though they had just walked off the set after filming a episode of the show. They all laughed, Guy replied "you made my day now" such great sports to dress up especially in that heat. David Duchovny was very great had a handshake and said enjoy the rest of your day Even as I write this down I'm smiling, this to me what a Con's is all about
  4. Did make me smile when the announcement was made every one around me almost on mass reaching for their phones followed by the words "come on" fortunately for me I met the best ever doctor on Friday. Enjoy your day tomorrow shame no group shoot of those doctors attending how about it SM
  5. With Megan Fox just cancelling I don't feel so guilty about booking a photo shoot for Sam now...
  6. No Tom Baker single photo shoot although Tom Baker & Tardis down twice.
  7. For very popular guests like say Megan Fox I will usually do a pre-order. Its not the same thrill as getting an autograph in person, but at least I'd be able to get her signature that way.
  8. Same here..it was a no brainer when I saw the announcement. This was quickly followed a mad half hour when I added Megan Fox, Peter Weller, Edward James Olmos, Catherine Bach, James Caan and the Allo Allo Costume shoot. lol
  9. Very enjoyable day although a little hectic back and forth between photo shoots (13 in total I had for Saturday). As an Arsenal fan chatting to the players from the 71 double winning team was amazing. Also loved talking to Matt Zimmerman and Shane Rimmer who were both such a joy to converse with . Had a major photo clash at the end of the day with Mark Williams & Valerie Leon. Having done Mark in "A" I had to rush back to B fearing I missed her. As I left "A" who was there directly in front of me but Valerie who had gone to the wrong booth so ended up having a gently walk back to the right booth chatting with her along the way. What a lovely lady.
  10. Had to laugh.. I've got 12 photo shoots on Saturday without clashes and two out of three for Sunday that clash..LOL
  11. After promising myself I wouldn't watch it under any circumstances I somehow find myself in front of the silver screen watching "Rampage". Although the film was silly, stupid and the acting at times was terrible, there is something about Dwayne Johnson that just pulls you in and you walk away after a couple of hours thinking well it wasn't that bad. No wonder he is the most bankable star in Hollywood at the moment. All in All it wasn't the worst film I've seen in the cinema this year that title belongs to Pacific Rim Uprising apart from wanting to cash in on success of the first movie there was no point for this film to be made I would love to see Johnson in a more serious movie where he's talent is stretched, he proved in "The Snitch" he can do it..
  12. Saw A Winkle in Time on Sunday. It was not as bad as I was expecting especially after having read a number of not very flattering reviews about the movie. The only down side was a screaming and crying 6/7 year old four rows down constantly making a noise. Then saw "Ready Player One" again and enjoyed it even more second time around. Ended up spotting more 80's references i missed including the Gremlin. which was added without Spielberg's knowledge.
  13. Really enjoyed "Ready Player One" especially in 3D. Spielberg is just the absolute master when it comes to film making. Even at a running time of 2hr 20 mins it felt shorter as you get so caught up watching it. It was fun spotting all the 70/80's nostalgia and references especially if like me you grew up in that period. Critics will probably hate it but it'll certainly be in my Top 5 films of the year.
  14. Just curious is this the most replies and views for a single thread...
  15. Just seen Pacific Rim 2. If they were going to make a franchise out of these movies like Transformers this film killed that idea. The first film was original, this film was boring and you really didn't care about any of the characters even if there were more battling robots
  16. I'm of the view it's a well known director not an actor. As they take the lead in every film. To truly complete a collection you need to get the director's signature as well. Probably completely wrong but I thought I'd just add my two penneth worth to the discussion.. :)
  17. Just wondering if the Duo photo shoot will be taking place on both days
  18. Really enjoyed Molly's Game. Jessica Chastain was outstanding along with Aaron Sorkin's writing. Calling it now Sorkin will win the 2018 Oscar for "Best Adapted Screenplay"
  19. Yes there will be Sports personalities there. I received a message from Showmaster confirming this was going to happen at Collectamania 25.
