@VanillaMagick Some already tried to do that and was told that he have to pay in advance without a booking code
And for me, as I'm concerned that the event might not be happening, this wouldn't be helping neither.Huh, that's strange... I'm just looking on the hotel website at booking a room and it says it takes a card to guarantee your reservation but that your card will not be charged in advance.

The majority of hotels are pay on check in, so why not just book a room, then if/when the con code gets announced, cancel the original booking (at no fee) and rebook using the con rate? That way, you don't have to worry at all

(My teenager has just started watching Stargate, I've been watching with her, watching her discover/fall in love and it's made me fall in love all over again. Cons are new to me, and while I'm sure everyone has already met the whole cast a billion times over.... )
