Out of curiosity, is there a competition on sunday? If so, what time is it? -
9 DAYS TO GO! Cosplay is ready, Can't wait to meet Freddy. Ticket's preordered and the Schedule is out, FCCG will be awesome, no doubt.

HYPE OVERLOAD! Guessing the prop shoots are £5 each as usual? Samuel Anderson and Doctor Who talks will be a definite yes. Might pop along to the Robert Englund one but that might run out of space quickly... Tempted to get a Samuel Anderson photoshoot ticket as well now...decisions, decisions. PS - Will there be any talks at Stage B?
-
Indeed - I'm really hoping for a Doctor, someone from Star Trek, and another big horror guest to join us. I'm over the moon that we could get Robert Englund in there as a late V 30th anniversary guest. That's totally why he's there, isn't it? and Samuel Anderson joining us is a lovely guest announcement for all the Whofans/Whovians/whatever name you choose to use.

10 DAYS TO GO! We're almost at single figures now and we've got Danny Pink as a guest now!

Lovely choice of guest and nice to see them interacting with the forumites (forumians? forumdonians?) Sadly I'm only attending Sunday this year but I hope to meet you at a future SM event, Mr Home. -
The FCCG website says 10am - 6pm but the ticket on the EventBrite site for the Sunday Early Entry says 9am. I was just wondering if anyone could clarify the Early Entry opening time for me?

11 DAYS TO GO! Who's got their cosplays sorted and ready?

Funny, I was just watching Full Circle the other day in my Doctor Who Marathon. And he's been in Bond and Star Wars. Although not a big guest, I might add him to my list of guests to meet. -
12 DAYS TO GO! Here's hoping for a few more guest announcements...
-
Well, I'm gonna be there on the Sunday. Just look out for the slightly shy Seventh Doctor with a Question-mark calling card. Also managed to convince my mate who's going to go in cosplay - he's going as a Pikachu.

13 DAYS TO GO! We're getting closer...
-
14 DAYS TO GO! Two weeks...can I jump up and down excitedly yet?
-
15 DAYS TO GO. And yeah, it's surprisingly quiet. Especially for a year where we've got Robert as a guest.

cosplay why do we love it ( sorry if wrong place )
JDPManjoume replied to ashen's topic in Film and Comic Con Glasgow 2015
I like cosplay for a number of reasons: 1. As someone who is quite socially anxious, I find that cosplaying not only calms me down in a sense but it's also a good "icebreaker" in conversations with people. 2. I find it quite an interesting challenge, not only from putting the cosplay together, however I can but also being creative as to how I do it. I also like hearing how I can improve my cosplays and make them more accurate. For example, a few weeks ago at a convention someone pointed out to me where I could get an accurate hatband for a Seventh Doctor Cosplay. 3. I also find it as an opportunity for me to, at a small degree, practise my acting skills. When I cosplay a character, I also try to accurately replicate their mannerisms and how they speak. -
