  1. I had been under the impression he say klop everytime, and not Tler. It seems I've learnt something new about one of my favourite sitcoms. Hopefully Bill though is right handed. I can see him being really busy with some of the shows he has done recently
  2. Shifting the mood to something a little lighter. They've sneaked another guest in for us in Bill Paterson
  3. I dont know if you follow Toby Hadoke, but every year he does a round up off all the Doctor Who alumni who have passed in the year. It's a lovely video tribute to everyone one we have lost from Doctor Who, irregardless of the size of their involvement they get a mention. And rightly so As far as I am aware, we have only lost Les Conrad and Michael Jayston. May they rest in peace
  4. I met Carl Weathers last year, you could see he loved meeting the fans, you could see he had such a genuine warmth for everyone he met. All are a sad loss to fandom and their families
  5. It really is a sad day, Both Michael Jayston and Ian Lavender, both a great loss to their families, and fans. I never met Ian, I think he might have been at a convention I went to, but cant be certain. But I met Michael on a couple of occasions, a lovely man
  6. I was not expecting to lose Michael Jayston today, especially after Ian Lavender earlier as well. Sad times indeed
  7. For Billie, they will create an enclosed space, so that they can funnel the people who have paid for diamond passes, and not create a bottle neck, much like they did for Jodie and Richard E Grant a few years ago. But I agree baring a guest they absolutely cant turn down, from whatever show, then I think the guest list is as settled as it's going to get
  8. I gather Wanda is just happily retired in Brighton. And fair play to her. I deliberately avoided the Benedict connection, as I'd be wanting to discuss her work, and not her sons. Her husband on the other hand has done False Gods for Big Finish Although Benedict did audition for the 11th Doctor, and Matt Smith auditioned for Sherlock. What a sliding door moment that could have been. Steve Moffett definatly got the casting the right way round. I pre-ordered a Tim Mcinnery autograph when he went to LFCC in 2018, same as Miranda Richardson and Tony Robinson, all Blackadder photos, purely as with everyone else I had planned to meet in 2018 I just felt that I wouldnt be able to find the time for everyone. And I still wanted their autographs. This was the year, of Eccleston, Smith and Capaldi. Saying that, a little research, he was also at LFCC in 2015 as well so he is due a return
  9. Tim Mcinnerny has done LFCC before, I'm not sure if it's his only convention, but gives hope he'll do another Helen Atkinson-Wood as also at last weeks Film Fair, so shows she's up for doing shows, maybe small ones, but still it's a show. Denis Lil, I'm sure has done shows in the past, he'd also cover Only fools and Red dwarf. If you get Michael Jayston, you can have Cassandra and Raquel's dads from Only Fools. And for a long shot, Jim Broadbent for Raquel's ex husband. If you want to make it a family affair, Wanda Ventham as Cassandra's mum was also in The Faceless ones, Image of the Fendahl and Time and the Rani. And would also cover a number of other franchises
  10. And as you say, the Bishop of Bath and Wells played by the erstwhile Roland Lacey
  11. Great list by the way Russell Brooke also played one of the Nazis carrying the ark towards the end of Raiders of the lost ark. Along with his brother Darrell. Both were Tetraps, and also in Star Wars. Lee Cornes was at last weekends Film Fair, so is open to doing conventions.
  12. And a new Ghostbusters out next month as well
  13. Shade is one of those that has to count. It's not like it was a rejected script that has turned up years later, or an idea that was rejected. It made it in front of the camera. It's just unfortunate it wasnt completed. It has now in various different formats I know.
  14. The funny thing, I might have said this before, I though Donald Sumpter was in Oppenheimer. Turns out it was John Giwans, but he was the spitting image of Donald, so it was an easy mistake to make
  15. The summer of the greatest film ever made. The rest of my top 10 my change. But The Last Crusade will always be my number one
  16. I think they will get Ernie Hudson again at some point. His career has just had a renaissance what with the new Ghostbusters film and being one of the main leads in the new Quantum Leap. So I think his cancellations were justified. Tony Todd on the other hand, I dont think will be coming back. After the 1st announcement coming out straight away to say he hadnt agreed to appear. And the last minute cancellation of the rescheduled appearance. I cant see them asking him to appear
  17. Showmasters have had Donald Sumpter before, admittedly some of the smaller shows, so potentially due another appearance. It is amazing how this little show has survived for so long. And still going strong The value everyone rule, like you, I love getting people to sign my 500 year diary no matter the role or roles they played or how small. Admittedly, Michael Carter was the exception, I had his autograph for Star Wars, But I couldnt justify the price last year, I was even in the queue, but even then i was 50-50 about getting him. It came down to if i'm not 100% then dont get him
  18. And also Rassilon in Hell Bent. I'd just never really looked into the actor who played the Nazi, I just knew he passed away relatively young. It was only by chance I caught the name and put two and two together. But you are right, there are countless times we can watch something and see a name in the credits and go, how did I miss such and such. Or even se a familiar face in a show and go I know them And if you get Donald Sumpter, which would be nice on his own. We can shoot for the moon and hope for Timothy Dalton. Although we can say this is highly unlikely to happen. But we can wish
  19. The one that always blows my mind, is the chief Nazi in Raiders, is played by Ronald Lacey who was the thief Harris in Porridge. I'd seen that film countless times before I found that out.
  20. If I had to cut one person, her role was small enough on tv, that she would be one I'd cut. No disrespect to her.
  21. Jacqueline definatly, I'm 50-50 on Karl doing future shows, if he does, it might be a smaller show, or potentially winter. It would depend on footfall to a degree. I would say the best chance of getting him back, is if they can land Catherine Tate, that way they can squeeze a dual photoshoot from them
  22. If they do announce someone now, we have a month to sort out what we want to get signed. So far for me: Frazer Hines - Underwater Menace Steelbook Ruth Madely, Karl Collins, Bonnie Langford, Jacqueline King - 60th Anniversary Steelbook Julian Glover - Indiana Jones Poster And in my 500 Year Diary Ruth Madely, Karl Collins, Maggie Service, Anita Dobson, & Michelle Greenidge Anita Dobson & Michelle Greenidge, I know they are very unlikely to do shows again, but I'd want them on the series boxset rather than a single episode release. Tough call to make. And I know its down to availability for which shows they do or are available for, but I'd rather them be summer or winter guests, when the new series boxsets will be out. And Julian Bleach, great guest, I've got him on my series 4 steelbook. And had Destination Skaro made it on to the 60th Steelbook he'd go on that. He could go on it anyway as he was part of the 60th but I'd rather him sign something he was in
  23. I didnt get his autograph that show, I only managed to get a photo after hours of trying, I just randomly checked the website whilst sitting in Nandos that evening. I was relieved more than anything that I got that. If I had got the diamond pass, I would have been ok, as the same things I needed Matt, Peter and Christopher that weekend, I needed David on. But that would have made me one of the lucky ones, as, whilst its great they got him, it did limit you to what you got him to sign unless you were in easy travel distance, had something you were getting all the doctors on, or could find something on the stalls.
