  1. Is there an official website yet? Can only find last years one.
  2. Iv'e only met Richard Dean Anderson and David Hewlett, so I'll be happy with anyone
  3. After 3 awesome days going back to my daliy routine seems kind of depressing. Not long until the winter con for my next con fix 😃
  4. Firefly theme song for my ring tone and Bazzinga for notifications :-)
  5. He was such a nice guy with a great sense of humour. I had just started a cast print of the SG1 team and he was the first to sign it. He said he better add #1 at the end of his signature, so when I meet the others they know he was the first to sign :-D With a little pre-planning and persistence I got to meet a childhood hero and was not disappointed, I think I’m still smiling now. I can’t thank Showmaster enough, looking forward to see who will be #2.
  6. I went all three days this year and had a fantastic time. In total I managed to do 16 photo shoots and get 15 autographs. RDA was an absolute pleasure to meet with a great sense of humour. Was a shame to see him struggling with the heat and would have been nice to see him get moved to the top floor where it was a lot cooler. The highlight without a doubt was Sunday afternoon when I got my Michael J Fox Delorean photo. It might of been the quickest shoot I’ve been to, but I can fully appreciate them wanting to get done as soon as possible, I only wish I got the chance to thank Michael for coming and giving us this once in a lifetime opportunity. It was great to see Showmaster constantly tweaking how things were run over the weekend to help improve the flow of everything. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this happen, so many of them giving up the opportunity to meet some of these amazing guest so everyone else could. Without doubt the heroes of the weekend. As with any event of this size there are things that can always be improved and I am sure Showmaster are already working on it. The only disappointment of the whole weekend for me, was having to go home on Sunday evening. Finally, a massive THANK YOU to everyone who made this weekend possible. How you are going to top this year (Firefly reunion) I don’t know, but we said that last year after Stan lee.
  7. I bought my weekend ticket as soon as the store went online ages ago so I have the old style tickets, which I have noticed do not have my name on it. Won’t this make ID checking impossible for this style of ticket?
  8. I bought a couple of tickets for my mum, dad and niece as a present so I wrote the following note just in case. I “my name” have brought “mums name”, “dads name” and “nieces name” these tickets as a present. If you need verification of my ID please call me as I am at the same event.
  9. Fourth cancellation for me . At least that solves the photo shoot clash with Alice Krige.
  10. WOW, all 9 halls next year. At the rate you are growing you're going to have to build your own venue soon, not just a staircase
  11. If you plan on getting a load of autographs the FAQs suggest you bring along a bunch of £5 notes as a lot of autographs cost £15, £25 and so on. They run out of £5 for change really quickly.
  12. Yes I'm staying there Friday and Saturday Me to I'm here We are also staying here, Saturday and Sunday night. Was the best price I could see for a decent hotel Travelodges are good for the price and the rooms has everything I need. Ticks all the boxes for me I'm staying there Friday and Saturday along with 4 friends. Booked the rooms a couple of weeks after they announced the dates, so we got a really good price :-)
  13. Nice, 3 clashes with two of them involving 3 shoots. Looks like i'm going to be doing a lot of running around.
  14. It does seem like the comic side of things has fallen behind. Here's my list Kevin Eastman – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The ultimate collection Vol. 1 John Wagner – Judge Dredd, Total War Jesus Merino – Superman volume 1, What price tomorrow – He’s cancelled Stephen Baskerville and Andrew Wildman – Transformers, Regeneration one Dan Slott – The amazing Spiderman, The Parker luck Andy Diggle – Captain America, Living legend #1 Mike Perkins – Astonishing X-men #49 Chad Hardin – Harley Quinn #7 (Bombshell variant cover)
  15. I plan to get my first cast prints signed. Beginning with Stargate SG1 and Star Trek Voyager. Was planning on getting a Game of Thrones cast print, but as the cast changes quite a lot each season with everyone being killed, I've instead got a Print of Westeros to get signed :-)
  16. Would love to meet Jessica Nigri, Lindsay Elyse or Maya Dinerstein (Ask Kaylee Frye).
  17. I for one have brought a lot of tickets (entry and photo shoots) for friends and family this year which are all in my name. Adding someone’s name might help if everyone has ID. But, for an example I got an entry ticket and photo shoot ticket for my 13 year old niece as a birthday present. If there was a system where you could add the attending person’s name, what ID would she be expected to bring? She doesn’t have a passport and obviously can’t have a driving licence.
  18. I hate the last couple of weeks before the con. Every time I look at the forum or log into Facebook I cross my fingers not to see any cancellations. Today was not my lucky day :-( . oh well, looking forward to meeting her at a future Con.
  19. When scanning these new Eventbrite tickets do they scanning the barcode or the QR code on the ticket. I ask because in places the lines on the barcodes are a bit close and could be easily seen as one line.(I also noticed that there can be as little as a single number different) I only have a low end inkjet printer so the quality is not that great. The QR code on the other hand is perfectly clear. I have so much to do over the weekend I would hate to get to a photo shoot and the scanner is unable to read the barcode. Having a staff member put the number in manually each time would take up a lot of time.
