  1. His appearance at the 2014 LFCC was the reason I went to my first ever convention, and whilst I wasn't able to get an autograph the few seconds I got to spend with him at the photo shoot, and the 'good afternoon' I received (although such a minor gesture for him), is a genuine life highlight for me.

It's so easy to throw the word 'legend' around these days but it honestly does not do this man justice.

    Excelsior!

I have no idea who that is but as I can appreciate holy grail auto's I am happy for you

He was the drummer for Slipknot (up until their last album anyway). I know they aren't everyone's cup of tea - I wouldn't claim to be a massive fan myself - but back at his peak (he's had physical issues the last few years) this guy was one of the best drummers in the world, let alone his genre.

    i r happy

  3. From personal experience some of the better guest experiences have come from the 'smaller' guests, as they are often less busy and you get more time with them.

My favorite one has been with, and in hindsight I feel a bit bad about admitting this, one of the token guests I went to see just because he was there and I had some free time. Met Andy Beckwith to get an autograph on my GoT poster for his role as the charming and friendly Rorge:

Anyway, we got chatting and he asked my name and really made an effort to have a conversation and found him really engaging, offering me a selfie and dedication and all sorts. Part way through his phone rang and he said "sorry about this...." and looked at his screen, "....its the wife." He answers the phone and tells her "sorry, I can't speak right now, I'm busy talking to Tom" and ended the call.

Honestly, from that moment on, the man could do no wrong. Total ledge.

  4. I'm not really a Whovian.....well, not at all actually (I've not seen a single episode), but based on the number of 'multi-Doctor-signed' pieces I've seen I get the feeling Jodie Whittaker would be slightly busy if she gets announced.... #understatement

And it's a shame my budget doesn't stretch to a photo - would be amazing to get one wearing one of these bad-boys:

and ran with it - only for Sam Neill to then tweet it:

That could have been me :(

  6. Lol no. If anything I'm relieved it's over.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those people who suffers social anxiety or gets nervous in crowds or anything like that, and that missing an autograph isn't going to ruin my day/life.

I just got a sense of 'job done' as I was leaving (got all my autographs and single photo done with maximum efficiency) and went home happy. I'm looking forward to the next one, but I'm also not at all sad that this one is over.

Here are some pictures of me and some of my photoshoot photos that my dad took! You can tell in each photo that I'm getting progressively more tired.

    Sweet pics bro.

Looking knackered in that last one but still going strong. :coolthumb:

  8. Disclaimer

This post is going to be really boring. As in 'probably just keep scrolling past it' boring. But this is the only photo I had done at the con and I feel left out not sharing it. It's just me and Iwan Rheon just standing there. No funny or interesting poses or clever use of props. Just me and him with a thumbs up. I also think we look almost mirrored, except I have a few extra pounds on him and I've shaved more recently.

But anyway, yeah, my boring photo:

This years Con is still going on :D a bit of patience

Speak for yourself -  I got home at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon and came straight on here ready for next year's guest announcements. No-one I want to meet  yet but I have hope that someone good will be announced in the next 363 days or so.
