  1. Quick question guys how do upgrade. Where do I do it and how quick or easy is it. I couldn't see anything on the event page. But I may just be missing it.
  2. You know I booked a 3 day ticket back in March, coming to see Michael Rosenbaum, then I booked Richard Dean Anderson and Christopher Lloyd, then you announced the lovely Benedict Cumberbatch. *sigh* But I have to say the one I am really exited about is Bernard. I have adored him since I was a kid. Now at 52 I am going to get to meet him.......I am going to get all emotional i can tell...
  3. So looking forward to seeing Michael again, he is such a sweetheart. 3 photoshoots booked :)
  4. 5 for the Friday, the other 4 are only available on the Sat/Sun and the talks I want are on those days hence trying to get most of them done the day before. By the way ADORE the icon :)
  5. Hi guys a question sorry if its a newbie one. Photoshoots when with the schedule be out for them? Reason I am asking is I was trying to get all my shoots done in the one day,and I also wanted to buy my favs before they sold out. What happens if schedules clash can I be moved to the next day even if that day may be sold out?
  6. I have a question. Hope this is the right place to ask. I bought a picture, not expecting Ben to be attending, its on the 221b set. As I am on a limited budget, could I upgrade that to the one WITH Ben on the 221b set?
  7. John Ashton and Michael Emmerson clash with some of my diamond pass items. If I miss my Batch NO can I go through at the end?
  8. right I apologize in advance I tried the FAQ link and I just get an error page. I am a newbie to the con and I was wondering about the VQ's and if I should get one for my extra guests. I am only attending Saturday. To explain I have a diamond pass for Jeremy Renner and Rutger Hauer but I also have a photoshoot with John Aston and Michael Emmerson now I have batch numbers for the pics so I assume VQ's don't apply. Do i need them for autographs or do i need them for the pics as well?? Also an explantion of them would be great. As i say please excuse I am a newbie to LFCC. Any info greatly accepted and any points to the correct thread also appreciated. I only have the one day so I want to make sure I dont make any mistakes or miss out on any of my pics and autos.
  9. Unless sold out: yes. Thanks for the reply :)
  10. Sorry if that been asked. Can I buy a standard 3 day pass and upgrade to one of the other packages later? I cant afford the packages at the moment hence why I am asking.
  11. Thanks I just wanted to be totally sure as I am on my way and I forgot to print them. It wouldnt be the first time I have read a FAQ and got the wrong end of the stick :)
  12. Guys anyone around who can give me a heads up re tickets. Do I need to print my tickets. Because I have the eventbrite app with mobile tickets. Will these be okay?
  13. Nevermind found my answer while surfing the forum
  14. Probably stupid question. My ticket includes photo ops and autographs with the guests do I still need to pick a date time now? Also how will we know when selecting what one to go for if a photoshoot or autograph session might clash with another guests talk/panel. Will these be scheduled so that they wont clash with talks.
  15. Most cons tend to be the main ticket price allows you access to all the con rooms and talks for the weekend, or day depending on the ticket you buy. Photo ops and autographs tend to be an extra each. Can make it a bit expensive when there are a lot of guests and, if like me, you want everyone..*g* So many guests so little time and money..... This shouldnt be to bad even if the whole cast turn up.
  16. The time thing although its anoying I can live with. But a couple of friends cant arrange things on this short notice. Yes for some people 12 weeks is short notice. But you cant make everyone happy. Making it later in the year would mean others that can go now might not be able to later same with the guests. So six of one half a dozen of the other. I understand Its difficult to get everyone around at the same time, film schedules, real life and other commitments change at a moments notice. But the no information like guests or costs until day of purchase is still more than a little annoying. And I do think things will sell quite quiclky even though this clashes with another con. Hamlet anyone? And that was only Benedict, this has the possibility of Martin, Mark and Rupert..possibly. I would like a few days to consider before worrying if the ticket I want will sell out. I would like to know what the estimated cost of attending, photo ops and such was so that I can weigh up that with the cost of accomodation and travel, without worrying if I can still get a ticket. Is that so wrong? I know its a big venue but they dont have the whole thing there are other events on at the venue that weekend. And they must have some idea of costs and some guest that they know will be their otherwise they would not have announced anything.
  17. 12 weeks away. 12 weeks isnt a lot of time for most people with other commitments and things to organise. I know this was difficult to get underway but 12 weeks is not a lot of time.
  18. I think the problem being is that peoples schedules change. They might have had it all sorted but then things change, filming dates move, new projects turn up, also events happen in private lives as well, its a thing you have to expect in convention attending, anything can happen. We can hardly expect Moffat Gattis Freeman or Cumberbatch to turn down a writing or film project because of a convention. All conventions are subject to work commitments. If a studio says the dates have moved, or we need you back for reshoots then they have to go because they are contracted to the project. If a new project comes up and the dates clash, then the convention will probably be the casualty. Same if the project of a lifetime pops up, they are hardly going to turn down a dream job because of convention, and people would be incredibly selfish to expect them to do so. These guys the writers and actors are on an incredible roll right now and the film/tv business is a VERY fickle one, and they know this kind of chance may not come around again. They want to do right by the fans but they also have to keep an eye on their careers. Which makes it very difficult for a con to pin everyone down due to the demand on the tallent.

I was going to go to a con in orlando last year but in the end I couldn't afford it. The week before the con the 4 guests that I wanted to see all had to pull out, due to work commitments. So its not an easy thing to pin people down. Especially people as in demand as this lot. And as much as some actors do want to attend a con, things get in the way.

So as frustrating as it is for us I am sure organisers are just as frustrated. The only thing that bugs me is the lack of information from Showmasters on their own forum and even the lack of updates on facebook. So much for weekly updates! Even a quick line saying there is no change each week would be something. Even just something like, sorry we cant get things sorted, or it may not happen till the end of the year, or it may not happen this year. Just something to give people an idea of whats going on. Like most people I would not be able to arrange anything on a couple of months notice. I need time to arrange care for my mum and book the pets into kennels. Booking last minute cost a fortune, and as I am a carer I don't have a lot of money so the shorter the notice for the event the less likely I would be able to attend. I need to spread the costs like con tickets, travel and accommodation over a few months *g* I know this is a difficult one for them to arrange. Possibly they should just call this year quits and arrange it for next year just before or just after season 4 filming when everyone would be together anyway. Surely that would be an easier target.
  19. Less teasing more solid info please!!!! Some of us need to plan. If its going to be short notice then let us know an expected/possible time frame. So that we can know if its a go or no go for us. If its 2015 then let us know at least that much so that we can go ahead with other plans. Not everyone has the finances or the ability to drop everything and go at short notice.
  20. Short notice doesnt give me a lot ot of time to arrange things. Unfortunately I cant just pick up and go. So I am hoping for an anouncement soon but that the con will be September or later. Gives me time to arrange care and book the cats in to the cattery. But if Benedict, Mark or Ruppert are there I will do my best to make it.
