2 lessons I learned on Saturday, which I applied for Sunday: Get Early Bird instead of Standard ticket, especially if you're meeting a very popular guest. Couldn't get anywhere near Summer Glau on Saturday, but upgraded for Sunday and managed to see her around midday. Don't try to join the queue at the end; go to the entrance to find its start, make sure it's the correct queue and then make your way to its end. Went directly to the end on Saturday and ended up joining 2 wrong queues before finding the right one. (On Sunday I'd learnt my lesson!) Other things that I am glad I did do right, and would advise a newcomer: As other people have stated, pre-book everything, the queue at the sales desk will be horrendous and excruciatingly slow. Have cash for autographs instead of trying to buy vouchers. Drink plenty of water to keep hydrated. Whenever you have some free time, visit the toilet whether you feel the need to or not. There will always be a big queue and you don't want to stand in it when you're desperate to go/in a hurry to get to a talk/photoshoot.

I haven't read the entire thread so maybe someone has mentioned this before, but it would be a good idea to have staff members at frequent intervals of the queues to explain which queue is which. I arrived on Saturday at 10:10 and got into 2 wrong queues before finding the right one (pre-paid standard).

Question about the props shoots: I see they are on only certain times of the day, does that mean outside that time the prop will not be available, or will it be there, just with no professional photographer, and you have to take your own photo if you want one?

Yes. Seeing as you have a clash with a talk you will be able to swap the tickets. That's all covered in the mini FAQ in the first post. I thought you were worried cause you were there one day only. Just one more question: SG is on 14:05-14:50 on Sat. I have a GOT talk till 14:25 on the SuperStage. Will there be time enough to walk from one place to the other? You need to switch the Summer Glau ticket either on Friday or Saturday please, even if you decide to upgrade in the pay on the day line Sunday. But you do so at the sales table, yes. I'm confused now... why a clash on Saturday if you're switching Summer to Sunday anyway? Sorry, I just realised I made a typing mistake! I am switching Summer to Saturday, and Carrie will go early on Sunday morning (upgrade to early bird). Sorry I was in a hurry when typing the previous message. Thanks for all the info. I have a clash with my Carrie Fisher (16:00-16:25) and Summer Glau (16:20--16:45) photoshoots clashing with my Stan Lee talk (16:00-16:40). I could upgrade to early bird and go to the morning shoot, but my Summer Glau ticket has no 215, and since the shoot is half an hour there's a good chance I won't be able to get in in the morning. Don't know about the Carrie Fisher ticket yet, since I haven't picked it up yet from the post office. What do I do? Will they let me in at the morning photoshoots if I explain the situation?

2 questions: 1) How long will the talk be? The standard 25 minutes? 2) Will those who win a chance to an autograph be given free pictures to get signed, as with the normal guests, or do we have to bring our own items to be signed?

Thanks, hopefully there will be no clashes, but if the photoshoot lasts for just 5-10 minutes I won't miss much of the talk even if there is a clash.

How long do the photoshoot sessions last? If a photoshoot is at the same time as a talk, will I be able to go to both? I am afraid of my photoshoots clashing with the paid talks I have bought tickets for.

Ooh, this is good! Hope I can get into the Star Trek - Star Wars - LOTR talks! Got tickets for the BSG, Saturday GOT and Sunday Stan Lee talk.

Thinking of buying a blonde wig to go with my Eowyn costume; however, that will depend on how much it cost and what the weather will look like to be on 12/7. If it's too hot I may decide against wearing the costume. Also need to pack my Serenity + BSG DVD covers to be signed by the stars (and hope they don't cancel! I was really sad to hear Sean Maher cancelled!)

Damn! Well, one less autograph to pay for, so there's that. Maybe I can get somebody else's autograph to compensate.
